Expert Reply:
Even though the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13526, you have on your 2006 Hyundai Tucson is rated for 3,500 lbs, you will be limited by the towing weight capacity of your vehicle at 2,000 lbs.
When towing or attaching anything to a hitch, you always need to use the lowest rated component for capacities.
