Today we're going to review part number 12CLN-L. This is the 1/2 Inch by 20 Chrome Trailer Wheel Lug Nut. Now this lug nut is designed to fit 1/2 inch by 20 bolts and basically that means the diameter of the bolt is a half inch, and it has 20 threads per inch. If you notice, this lug bolt also has a 60 degree cone on it, and that's designed to fit the 60 degree taper on the wheel. Overall length on this lug nut, this is an extra long, so it's about 1 and 7/8 inches long, and it does require a hex head size or a socket size of 3/4 of an inch. I happen to have a deep well 3/4 socket here, and you can see it fits on perfectly.
Also on most aftermarket lugs you can see they do stamp the size on the lug, itself, to let you know the size of it, 1/2 inch by 20. Now I just want to show you, you can use these on your normal trailer wheel. Sort of move out a little bit, and normally your trailer wheels will come with just this small open end lug nut to hold the wheel into place. You can go to these longer lugs and you can see it gives you more to grip onto with your socket, and they are closed end. The other nice thing about these longer lug nuts like this, is a lot of your aluminum wheels, your aftermarket, nice aluminum wheels, they have a, where the lugs are, they have a very deep access to get to the lug and lots of times when you use just the standard little bitty lug, when it falls in there it's hard to get to and sometimes it's too wide, so the socket won't fit in there. So what it is recommended, is on a lot of the aluminum wheels, is to go to a longer lug like this, that'll drop into that, and this part will pretty much be almost flush to the top. Then it's only a 3/4 inch hex head size so your socket can usually get in there and access it.
But that should do it for the review on part number 12CLN-L, 1/2 Inch by 20 Chrome Trailer Wheel Lug Nut. .

Great upgrade to the questionable factory supplied lug nuts. The longer and heavier lug nuts let you get a more substantial bite for less rounding of the bolts.
we changed all of the nuts on our trailer then drove from Texas to Colorado without a problem. delighted.
The tires and wheels look great and the shipment arrived within a week of ordering. Unfortunately, one of the boxes the wheels were shipped in was opened as well as the bag containing the 10 lug nuts. There were 4 lug nuts missing and the other 6 were loose in the tire box. Not likely the fault of etrailer, however, they sent 4 additional lug nuts free of charge!

In short if you are on the fence if you should do business with etrailer don’t be I just had 4wheels wheel Bering covers and lug nuts delivered on tine and complete the service was excellent Alex was my contact if I had to do all over again etrailer would be my only choice
Purchase a set of 20 to replace those on my trailer that have rusted after 8 years. Looks good and easy to remove with a deep 3/4" socket. I tend to put a drop or two of oil inside the wheel lug nut prior to screwing onto the wheel bolt to prevent it from rusting solid on the wheel bolt.

The wheel lug nuts still look like new after a year of use. I just recently removed them to besure that they didnt rust onto the bolt and they all came off easy. Put a couple s of oil back on the bolt and retighten the lug nuts.
Ordered this tire/wheel combo for my older gooseneck. They look nice, and ride well.
I bought these to replace the chrome capped lug nuts on my camper. These fit great, look great and I don't worry about the wrench not fitting.
I received my rims and lug nuts today. Packing was great, the rims look amazing. Can't wait 2 have my new trailer tires mounted. Thanks 4 a great product.

They look great on our camper. Nice product.
After 1 year of service I notice some rust on most of them. This is with fairly limited miles and never exposing them to salt.
Otherwise these feel and function as a high quality lug nut.
The wheel nuts were exactly what I wanted. They are really good quality for the price. Etrailer did a good job on their shipping. Could not believe I got them that quick. Good job trailer!!

Lug nuts are chrome plated and much more durable than similar nuts with the thin stainless steel jackets. Reasonable price too.

Lug nuts still look like new, but the trailer has never seen snow or road salt.

These lugnuts are perfect for the alloy trailer rims. These are 1/2-20 threads and uses a 3/4” deep socket. These are the rims I purchased for my trailer to replace the steel ones. I thought I could find lug nuts locally—but I was wrong. Like I said these lug nuts fit perfect with those rims. This style with bulge acorn style, long are hard to find. Quality is #1. I am unable to take a pic because winter is here and trailer is covered.
