Dial in your setup with fittings that match your system and goals. Use 3" pieces for main lines, or adapt 1-1/2" gray water to 3/4" hose thread when you want a smaller drain line. Link hoses with clamp-on couplers when you can't go bayonet-to-bayonet. Keep all parts the same brand so bolt holes and seals line up, and a little grease on the seals can help tame a small drip.
It's best to match the manufacturer for flanges, valves, and seals. Bolt-hole alignment and seal styles can differ and mixing can keep parts from lining up. Measure the bolt spacing; some use mounting holes 3-3/4 inches apart on center. If holes or alignment pins don't match, choose fittings from the same system.
Use fittings that slip over 3" ABS to extend or add offsets. Measure, dry-fit, cut, and solvent-cement the parts. An S-curve with elbows can help clear obstructions and bring a valve closer to the trailer edge. Reinstalling valves can be tight; plan bolt access and alignment before gluing.
Use a 1-1/2 inch fitting that reduces to 3/4 inch hose thread. Slinky-style 1-1/2" hoses aren't available. Since gray water is used water without waste, a smaller diameter, non-potable hose can be used. A 90-degree option can help in tight spaces. Pick a gray hose to remind you it's not for drinking water.
Greasing the seals can help reduce a small drip. Check for cracked threads, worn gaskets, or mis-matched seal styles between brands. Avoid over-tightening tabbed "dog ear" designs to prevent breaking. If a glued stub leaves only about 3/8" to bond, that's not enough—heat to loosen the old part or replace upstream pieces.
