If you're using t-track hardware, allow a little extra time to get the nuts started in tighter spots.
Installation can be easy and straightforward. Instructions have been clear and parts fit together well. If you're using T-tracks, test-fit the hardware before loading up. Hand-tighten first so you can adjust, then torque down once everything is aligned.
Use a cargo net sized to wrap around the platform and a cargo bag for weather protection. A properly fitting net helps keep the load tight. Pack heavier items low and cinch straps evenly. After loading, tug-test the net and recheck it at fuel stops.
It can be a solid, low-profile, aerodynamic option. One basket did great on a 6 hour trip with a cargo bag. Mount it securely, center the load, and keep the profile tidy to help reduce wind effects. Recheck hardware after the first few miles.
It can, but check bolt length in the T-track. One setup had bolts that were barely long enough once two washers and the nut were on, which made starting the nut take trial and error. Test-fit the hardware and consider washer stack or positioning to get proper thread engagement.
