There are two long scratches along the left rail that did not happen during shipping. This is going into a new truck and I need to paint it to keep it from rusting. etrailer credited me just over 5% of the total price of the hitch. I am very disappointed with their resolution. Shipping costs both ways to resolve this issue would be nearer $300. I won't be purchasing any more products from etraler.

Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs
Upgraded from TT to fifth wheel. Once I learned the basic operation I have had mo problems with this hitch. Rides a little high because of adapter for factory puck adaptor but still fits my tonneau cover which I also bought from etrailer.
First off I just got done installing the hitch and I hooked on my 35ft fith wheel trailer and went for a ride with windows down sun roof open and not a single rattle , clank , or noise from the bed of the truck with this hitch . It was easy to assemble but I did have one spot where the paint got chipped on the slider during shipping so I just touched it up . Very satisfied with hitch it latches automatically when you back in to it and the slider part works like it should .

Quality hitches which I recommend highly.

B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 18,000 lbs
From the start,the folks at etrailer were very courteous and helpful. I called many times during the decision making process and everyone was always right there to help. When I finally decided to purchase the B&W 18K Patriot w/slider Bailey was there to help with the order. She explained the free freight shipping and it was a done deal. It arrived 1 day earlier than stated, as soon as I opened the cartons it was in fact the good ol' American made quality I was accustomed to growing up. I proceeded to install on the B&W rails I purchased and installed locally on my 2022 F250 Lariat/ Tremor.I had a small hick- up with the install and etrailer gave me B&W's # as they like to handle issues themselves. Stephanie at B&W was just as courteous. Overall a very pleasant experience. The Patriot was basically plug and play. I then connected my 2021 Grand Design 303RLS Reflection and rolled down yhe road. So far so good. Hitch appears to be good quality. It was easy to install after installing the mounting kit. I haven't used it yet so I can't comment on how it handles when pulling a camper.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 lbs
Demco auto slide hitch works very well with my crew cab short bed Ram. Fits under my tonneau cover nicely. Trouble free thus far. Had to purchase a Demco plate for the camper to make the Rhino box hitch work. etrailer personnel were great in helping ensure I had the right products and kept me well informed of shipping dates.
My wife and I are full-time RVers, and have used this slider hitch from the get-go while traveling around seeing the country over the past year. We are happy with our purchase, which has proven to be both easy to hook up, adjust, and functions well, as advertised. The only matter I think you may want to address are the thick plastic removable maintenance access covers which tend to bow, and the areas around the attachment holes have melted, in the hot weather. Perhaps instead using a light metal for the covers would be better solution. We are very happy overall with this hitch, and plan to keep it . Thank you.

Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Roller - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs
Etrailer sent me a one year follow-up email. Since purchasing this I've used it to tow our 11k lb camper about 5k miles. The hitch and slider have worked exactly as they should and I have no complaints.
Well, I haven't towed with it yet but we'll see how that goes. I purchased this hitch because I needed to drop the height as much as 6 inches. My previous hitch was dropped to the lowest setting and still 17 inches high! This E16 goes down to 14 inches... Assembly was straight forward and all pieces were present ( even 4 big washers which were not illustrated anywhere in the instructions as to where they went) The hitch seems well built but the welder needs to be more thorough in cleaning his Slag (got my finger good when I picked up the top plate) Stickers were falling off everywhere (my heat gun fixed those) But a couple notable design flaws... The top cradle for the 5th wheel plate is a triangular shaped arch and the top plate has an axle which is perfectly round. So when the 5th wheel assembly is down in the cradle, there are only two little points of contact instead of the cradle fitting uniformly around the axle rods...we'll see what kind of wear this causes. Next, the green ring on the indicator rod looked like a 3 year old toddler wiped lipstick on it. (Green paint is supposed to be in the little groove cut in the rod but instead, is smeared all over the end of the rod) Lastly... The side plates have a two rows of holes for height adjustment...I have installed the bolts to position the overall height at the lowest possible setting. However, there are two more holes in the tie plate but the casting prevents the sideplates from dropping down even lower. Definitely confused as to what the extra holes are for and disappointed that I can't drop this even lower... Definitely seems heavy duty, but again, I haven't towed yet, so hopefully the play in the base rails doesn't translate into obnoxious clanking and rattling.... If so, I will definitely be doing another review

Installed in a 2024 Silverado 2500HD Standard bed. Puck system is a very easy install. This hitch is awesome, Very confident when connected, Very easy to disconnect. way lighter than our old hitch. Our old truck hitch was a reese elite single jaw slider (we never not even once used the slider), you couldn't see if it was fully closed. This hitch is dual jaw and very easy to see if closed. We have only connected and disconnected a few dozen times so far on this trip but no binds and very easy to use. I highly recommend this hitch.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 21,000 lbs
This review is for the Demco Autoslide 21k and accompanying OEM rail adaptor I purchased for a 2020 Ram 3500 Megacab DRW. I've owned it one year. Overall, the hitch performs as I expected. It is high quality, very sturdy and seems like it will last for a long time. I had it installed at the dealer when I purchased the truck. It automatically slides to protect the cab in my 6'4" bed without any incidents. I tow a standard fifth wheel RV. There are a few negatives, which are not necessarily shortcoming of the product but, instead, necessary evils to allow me to have a short bed. First, it is BIG and BULKY. I believe this is just a function of the mechanism required to allow the autosliding feature and I am not really sure there are any other lighter alternatives with this feature. The fact it requires two parts (OEM Puck Rail and hitch), make it even more bulky. It takes up almost the entire bed and prevents most auxillary tank / tool box combos from fitting. Even standard size storage bins will not fit in my bed. I would prefer if they had a custom OEM all-in-one hitch for my truck like they do for the Ford. It adds significant weight, which decreases carrying capacity, which can be at a premium in hauling a heavy fifth wheel. I've never even tried to take it out of the bed due to the weight and difficulty. I also am not very happy with the adjustable catch plate design. It requires significant manipulation loosening and tightening 8 nuts when hitching and unhitching. This requires a step ladder to reach the nuts. I also found out after the fact that it does not come with the right size catch plate attachments for my hitch and I had to purchase a separate part, which added unexpected expense and delayed my taking the RV on its first trip. Overall, I am satisfied with the hitch.
I wish the place I bought my camper would have recommended this from the start. Makes owning a 5th wheel so much easier!

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Underbed - 18,000 lbs
This was the best solution for my Dodge RAM 2500 towing my Alliance 340RL 38' 5th Wheel. My son helped me install the rails under the bed and now it is very easy to remove the hitch when I am not using it. It is very strong and I highly recommend this for anyone with a short bed truck.
When you use google chrome it does not move you to the next page to custom fit. So it just tells you your truck shows you the product and I order 6k worth of items without putting in the custom specs that you don't know to hit. Somehow with the info I put in my two other products work but this one doesn't and I have to pay for shipping to this to fix it. Wish if you ordered 6k worth of Items they would be a little more understanding that their site does not walk you what needs to be done and help you fix the problem without charging you more. Prep and Puck systems are two different things now I know.

I wanted to be able to easily utilize my truck bed and this hitch provides that in spades! Easy to remove and install. I absolutely have to give a shout out to Paula on customer service. She was amazing! My first shipment was damaged and missing a vital part. Paula had another one shipped right away and made my return shipment a breeze. She stayed in contact with me to the end. I felt like she shared in my joy once the install was complete! The hitch is super adjustable for optimal placement in the bed and height of the trailer. Make a few quick measurements and it just goes together quickly. Love the dual jaw release lever. Our last 5th wheel hitch had the standard pull to release lever and it was often very difficult to operate. This lever style is a game changer. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the product and customer service!
I installed this system in my classic square body Silverado after installing the Turnover Ball BK1400 gooseneck hitch. Both work great together and this companion installed beautifully. I tow a 40’ Cougar camper with it.

Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs
Great Hitch, very happy with this unit. Have pulled the 18K lb fifth wheel over 25K miles (Florida to Idaho, back to Florida and now Alaska). We have covered many rough roads and challenging situations, without problems and have never had a bad couple. The hitch indicator on front of head gives a clear indication of latching condition, and the latch handle has a locking pin for added protection. This pin is the only issue I have had, which can be trapped under the slide plate if your truck is at an angle (beyond about 35 deg) from the rv. I make it a point to pull this pin prior to backing if I am the least bit concerned. This is a great hitch! Excellent quality and it's made here in America.
This is very well built and operates great. Once I got the first rail positioned and mounted, everything else was very easy. The R20 slider came in a single box and was very heavy. The packaging is not suitable for the weight. As others have also reported, the package was completely demolished when it arrived. Thankfully , all the part’s made it okay and nothing was damaged. I love the product.

Just installed this CURT 16K ~5th wheel hitch into our new 2017 GMC truck. It took about an hour and it would have been nice if the directions would have told you what height each set of holes would produce. I'd recomend using some marine grease on the four puck joints prior to trying to lock them in. I really like this new hitch puck truck system over the Reese hitch with the bed mounted bars. I'd highly recommend this hitch if you have the factory GMC /Chevrolet puck system. The e trailer online help was truly appreciated as it steered me to the proper hitch for our new truck.
Very easy install. Looks great. Functions perfect. Easy hook up to fifth wheel. Perfect fit for my 2017 gmc HD Denali 3/4 ton with factory installed fifth wheel plate. Love it thanks. Just what I was looking for. Better than paying 1,000 dollars at chevy dealer for them to order.

my companion 5th wheel hitch(rvk3370) hitch was delivered on 3/11, I installed it in a couple hours on 3/12. It was a piece of cake, the delivery was made with a lift gate truck that I back my truck up to and had the driver lower the lift gate down onto my tailgate, I unpackaged the hitch and was able to Maneuver it by myself into the puck system on my truck, I have the slider hitch so much heavier than the standard one, but still very easy for my 65 year old body to handle, the B t W was the only hitch I considered because of the ruggedness and quality of their products my truck is a 2023 Ford F 350

Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter - 20,000 lbs
We have the Anderson Hitch installed on our 2017 Ford SuperDuty and pull a Reflection 337RLS. We have traveled over 4,000 miles and have been extremely satisfied. The hitch allows plenty of clearance between 5th wheel, bed, and the truck cab. Hook-up and disconnect has always been easy, even with RV lots that were uneven dirt lots. I use Curt thin rubber sound dampeners (item 16900) and this provides a quiet, tight fit between the rails and hitch. Of course the light weight makes it easy to remove when not towing and less weight when you are towing. A great product for the right truck, trailer combination.
After receiving the kit i saw another one on the shelf at a local store. I noticed the one on the shelf had a steel ball cup mounted to it. Mine did not have that part. I called andersen and asked if the ball cup was available for purchase seperately. They told me no need to purchase bevause they will ship me one for free! Later on, i towed my trailer to a camp site and upon arrival i could not get the release pin to open to drop the trailer while we stayed in it. I called andersen and described the problem i had, they shipped a whole new block and cable assembly for free!! I am ver pleased with the product and also impressed with the level of customer service!

I purchased both the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs - C16120, and Reese Pull Pin Lock Plates for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - Qty 4 - RP58093 for my F350 SD 4X4 Crew Cab Long Bed. I'm pulling a 30' Retro 5th. Wheel and at times I pull my tandem axle UTV Trailer (Double Trailers) . I already had the rails installed in my truck, this fit right in and I used the new Pins and Lock Plates for securing to truck. I have pulled all over from South Dakota and the Northwest. The Hitch has performed Flawlessly. No bucking, nor clunking. Very quiet and smooth ride. I would recommend this set up to anyone for convenience of Hook up and Disconnect, Excellent towing, quiet, and the security of the lock pins. I use Disc locks to prevent access for bolt cutters.
I was fully expecting a hitch in excess of 100 pounds to show up in a destroyed box. This did not. They had taken the Time and effort to cover the box with an additional layer of cardboard and it must have had a million staples in it. It was almost comical, you will need a crowbar or large screwdriver to get it open. However, when I did finally get the package open I found a perfectly un scratched hitch with no missing parts. I have not pulled with the hitch yet but , it does look like it is going to perform great. I'm using this in a 2006 ram 2500 4x4 short bed pulling a 2015 forest river Salem and it allows 91 degrees of turning due to the clipped corners on the front cap of the trailer. I will be curious to see how long the rubber isolators last before needing replaced and if they are readily available. Also the curt sticker on the hitch was peeling off when I took it out of the box, would be nice to get that replaced.

Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs
I recently purchased a Reese M5 20K hitch for my new Silverado 3500HD, Crew Cab, 8’ bed. As usual, Etrailer pricing was very good and with free shipping to boot. The hitch arrived via UPS in just a few days after placing the order. Following the detailed instructions provided by Reese, the install into the factory “puck” system, was fairly straight forward. However, a word of caution concerning the install. There are 4 15/16” bolts that need to be torqued to 220-foot pounds and are somewhat difficult to get to. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a torque wrench that would accommodate the recommended foot pounds of torque. Also, you may have an issue if you need to place the hitch at its highest position. The release handle might protrude above the bed rails of your truck in this position. This will be a problem if you have a bed cover. Reese is/was well aware of this issue and sells an after-market handle that will correct this issue. Etrailer lists this handle on their Web page.
Installed in a 2018 GMC 3500 LB SRW Overall it was really easy to put together. Its light enough move in and out and very sturdy. I did not have a clearance issue with the Backflip cover regarding the stock handle. See pics. Just a heads up, I had an issue with the threading in the legs, etrailer was very understanding and sent me out replacements supper fast. I contacted Reese regarding paint guncked up in the threading and they were aware of the issue, they recommended running a wire brush or a tap to clean it out.

Today we have a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you some of the cool features on the B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for our OEM GM puck system. This sliding 5th wheel hitch is designed for trucks with a 6-3/4' foot bed. And the reason for that is that when you're going to make tighter turns with campers, when you have a 5th wheel camper, the nose is gonna be somewhere in this general vicinity. And if you don't have that longer bed with the extra, you know, foot and a half space up at the front, you're gonna have issues with the front of the nose of the camper making contact with your truck. That is where this sliding feature on this hitch comes into play.

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on 2023 GMC Sierra 2,500, we're going to be checking out the B&W Companion Sliding Fifth Wheel Hitch. So right away the Companion, this is going to be designed to work with the B&W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. And there's a couple of reasons that I can think of why you'd want to use the Companion over the standard type fifth wheel head that uses the traditional type rails. And one of them is that you have a couple of different types of trailers. So if you have a gooseneck and a fifth wheel, having the gooseneck hitch allow you to pull that trailer and then by picking up the Companion, it'll let you drop this fifth wheel right into that gooseneck hitch and hook up to your fifth wheel trailer.
B and W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 2500
Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about our B&W Patriot Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch on the back of our 2022 GMC Sierra 2500. Now this will be a great option for you if you are trying to haul and anything behind you and you have a short bed, because what that sliding 5th wheel is gonna do for you is when you are making those sharper turns, whether in a really tight neighborhood or when you are backing up into a campsite, this is gonna help keep that load behind you from making contact with your cab. So the scenario to think about is maybe you've reached your campsite and you need to back your camper up into the spot you found, and it's a little bit tight and you're at more of a jackknife position, so we're gonna probably have to push this slider back some so we can make that turn. So what we're gonna do is just reach over here and just throw this handle. Now if you are having issues reaching this, which is not too bad to reach, I find it pretty fine. But if you do find issues, what I recommend is just using your tire, step it up, and flipping that real quick.

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 GMC Sierra 2500, we're gonna be checking out the B&W companion sliding type fifth wheel hitch for trucks with the OEM prep package. Pretty cool these late model trucks now, you know you can get 'em factory equipped with them prep packages and it makes, you know putting in a fifth wheel, or a gooseneck style hitch super convenient. You know, you essentially just drop this right in, lock it down, and that's really all there is to it. In our case, you know, this is a sliding type hitch, and that's because our truck is a short bed. Alright If you have a long bed, you can get away with using a fixed type hitch.
Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 GMC Sierra 2500
What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, on our 2021 GMC Sierra 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at the Demco Hijacker Auto-sliding 5th Wheel Hitch, for your OEM puck system. This system is gonna be for you if you have the OEM puck system and you have a short bed. Basically, what happens is, with the short beds, as you start turning, a lot of the ones, you're gonna have to like manually release, so you can slide it back, so you're not gonna have any damage happening to the cab of your truck. With this one, as it starts to rotate, it's gonna slide back automatically, to prevent any contact from happening. We're gonna get about 14 inches of slide with our 5th wheel head, and it is gonna rotate up to 90 degrees with our trailer.

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the BMW Patriot sliding fifth wheel on a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. Now this is a particularly great option for this truck in particular because it's a six and a half foot bed. This is a sliding fifth wheel, so if you've ever pulled a fifth wheel with a short bed, you do kinda have to worry about cab clearance, especially with your campers. If you cut too hard, it's gonna smack the side of your truck and damage it in the process. And the great part about this is you can slide this super easy. Just lift that handle, push this back, and it's gonna lock in place.

This is a sliding fifth-wheel assembly which is great for vehicles that have a short truck bed. If you've got a full truck bed then you really don't need to worry about these and you probably won't need one ever. But if you have a short truck bed, the clearance between your trailer and the cab of your truck may be too small when making extreme turns. It's not uncommon for a fifth wheel that's sitting in this position here on our 90-degree turn, for that cab and trailer to connect here on the corners.

So as you start to turn with these shorter beds, as you turn, it's gonna slowly slide back. The cool thing about this one is you don't have to get out of your truck to activate that feature.

Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be taking a look at the inaudible 00:00:04 hijacker auto slide fifth wheel trailer hitch. Part number DM850034.This hitch is going to provide you with 18,000 pounds gross weight rating, it's going to give you 14 inches of travel to the very back, it's going to have a single jaw system which makes for a tighter fit around your king pin.To activate the jaw system, when hooking up to your trailer, you simply pull the safety pin and clip, slide your handle out, and you'll see how the draw spreads apart. Once you lock the handle open, when you back your king pin in, or back up to your trailer, it's going to spread this apart just a little bit. What it's going to do, it's going to put pressure on this side, which is going to release the handle lock and allow the jaw to close.You're going to have guide rails here and that's what sets this apart from others. These guide rails can be adjusted depending on the size of your pin box. All you would do is once you have your pin box, or you're attached to your fifth wheel, you're going to take these rails, going to loosen them up, slide them in, up against your pin box and then tighten them back into place.
