Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches
Excellent product, easy to set up, bikes load with minimal effort, would highly recommend
I ordered this Thule bike rack for my 2014 Jeep Wrangler. I was a little worried about the clearance with the spare tire and my license plate relocation but this rack allows for plenty of space. The rack is sturdy enough to hold all four of our bikes. I am very happy with the purchase.

Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack - Spare Tire Mount - Folding Dual Arms
After a week of comparing, I decided that this Thule Spare Me 2 bike carrier was the perfect choice to haul my bike on my new 2013 Jeep Wrangler. My husband has a Thule Vertex Swing 4 bike carrier on his truck, which we love. I could transfer it to the hitch on my Jeep whenever I need it, but I wanted something that I could leave on my Jeep that also wouldn’t be in the way when I wasn’t using for my bike. When not in use, this Spare Me carrier folds down out of the way and it doesn’t cause me to make any changes when backing up in tight spaces unlike the hitch mounted carrier. It was easy to install. I am only 5 feet tall and not very handy with tools. I was able to take off the spare tire with the lug wrench that is in my Jeep easily, pop out the center Jeep logo from the tire, put on the mounting plate and reinstall my spare without help. I then installed the carrier, my bike, cleaned up the packing materials, and even had my husband come admire my handiwork- all in less than an hour. I can easily fold and unfold the arm and secure it in just a few seconds. It is easy to mount my bike to it and all the straps hold my bike securely and are easy to use. It is also easy to open the straps and take down my bike, so I can be off riding and not fussing over how to get my bike off. I have no problems opening the gate of my Jeep when the bike is not mounted. I don’t know if I would recommend opening the gate with the bikes on. I have already used the Spare Me for my bike and my nephew’s bike. I drove it over 50 miles at interstate speed and the bikes stayed in place securely. You do need to follow the instructions and use the straps provided to keep the bikes from moving too much. I also use some simple inexpensive hardware store hook and loop straps that keep the wheels in place during transport. From previous experience, I don’t care for bungee cords they stretch too much and don’t hold or pull too hard on my wheels and cause problems with alignment. I learned that lesson the hard way. My only complaint about the carrier is that the integrated lock for securing the bikes to the carrier is not long enough to accommodate a women’s bike. It works perfectly to go over the top bar on the frame of a man’s bike, but since a women’s bike needs to use an adapter bar for this style bike carrier, the lock only secures the adapter bar. Some women’s bike adapter bars on the market have locks, but the one I own does not. For me, this isn’t a huge problem. I have a separate cable bike lock that I will use if I need to leave my bike unattended. The lock that secures the carrier to the vehicle works as described, so no worries there. I also want to say that etrailer amazed me with the shipping. I could have order this same product from my Jeep dealer, but they said I would take them 10 business days to get it. I didn’t want to wait 2 weeks. The price was nearly the same from etrailer so I took my chances that I would get it faster. I order this Friday afternoon and UPS delivered it to me Monday afternoon. Wow! I also selected etrailer because they have the clearest videos and instructions. I was truly able to compare the products and feel like I was making informed decisions based on my skill level and needs. If I ever need something like this again I will remember etrailer.
Installed this on a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 2dr. Install was a snap and the bike rack has worked out very well. Good paint finish and after a year it is holding up like brand new. Rubber ties are also like brand new. Very pleased overall.

Hollywood Racks SR1 2-Bike Carrier - Spare Tire Mount
Fantastic bike mount for a Jeep Wrangler! Quick and easy install on, and removal from, the vehicle, and secure mounting of bikes as well. Not cumbersome to use and very compact when not in use. Extremely satisfied with the purchase and mount!
Great products. Well made and fully assembled. Good communication and products arrived very quickly. Appreciated all the information on the website. It gave me the confidence that it would fit my vehicle. I mounted the bike rack on a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with back up camera with no issue. There is a tight clearance between the spare tire, and 3rd brake light but I was able to install it with the tire cover in tact. Going forward will probably put small spacers on the back of the tire mount for an extra fraction of inch clearance. Also, the adapter was needed to level out the women bike on the rack.

Yakima SpareRide 2 Bike Rack - Spare Tire Mount - Folding Arms
After a couple of weeks of researching which type of bike rack I wanted for my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JK (hitch mount or spare tire), I decided on the spare tire mount. And after a 4hr (roundtrip) mountain biking weekend escape, I'm very happy with my decision. What I like about the rack: well built, very sturdy with bike(s) mounted (no sway or rattle), arms fold down and lock in place when not in use (looks slick), full access to cargo area without needing to remove rack, rack and bike cable locks included, economical, lifetime warranty and of course the dual bottle openers ; ) What I would improve upon or revise in a future model: arms should be longer (even just an inch because bikes rub slightly so I had to add padding), more use of aluminum rather than plastic (thinking long term durability of the plastic locking teeth and arms) Thanks eTrailer
This bike carrier is great! It is very well made and is secured to the vehicle with a keyed lock. It comes with a locking cable for the bike as well. I can open the tailgate and access the trailer hitch while the bike is on the carrier. I could not be more pleased!

after much research and great help from customer service at etrailer this was the only bike rack we could find for a 2 in receiver that had enough clearance for the over size spare tire on the wrangler and its able to be tilted down and could hold 2 bikes its very sturdy and would buy another one if I had the need for one

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
The rack got here in great time and took all of 20min to put together and install on my Jeep Wrangler. Quality is very good and the product is well thought out. I bought it to carry two mountain bikes and there is no way I can do that without damaging the spare tire cover or worse. If I took the pedal off the inside bike it would ride against the tire cover. You could carry a mountain bike on the outside and maybe a lightweight racing bike on the inside with the pedal off ........ maybe. I want to stress that this problem is directly due to the rear mounted spare. I like the rack a lot and can fix the problem by using a short hitch extender which I have. It would be very helpful for etrailer to specify what kinds or at least types of bikes that can be carried together on this rack when used with a vehicle with a rear mounted spare tire. The rack holds my large mountain bike very securely and I really like the ratchet down hooks that hold the top bar. My bike has the cables under the top bar so a hanging carrier is out. But I actually like this type of carrier better as it holds the bike to prevent it bouncing around and scraping the finish off of it. The carrier is a great buy for the cost.
The Swagman XTC-2 was exactly what I was hoping it would be; a very sturdy bicycle carrier. At 35 lbs capacity per bike I expected it to be rock-solid and my expectations were not diminished one bit. It arrived in a shipping package that was gorilla-proof, thankfully, given the typical handling of heavier packages; and even this arrived unscathed. The rack itself was easy to assemble and fit my 2011 Jeep Wrangler perfectly. We have several bikes that we ride (including one that required getting the fat tire hoopS) and not getting any younger, the Swagman made lifting them onto the rack a whole lot easier than hoisting them onto our current higher rack. We loaded our heavier bikes for a test spin to check it out and the rack held tight with no wobble or undue bouncing. All in all, a great shopping experience from initial scanning of the available products (wonderful selection), reviewing the product descriptions (often better than the manufacturer), and checkout. Anyone looking for a new bicycle rack should definitely visit the "etrailer" website.

Surco Spare Tire 3-Bike Carrier
Second one I've owned -- first was unfortunately lost in a move. Solid product that works well with my Jeep Wrangler. Carrier attaches easily to my spare tire, bikes attach easily to carrier. Have successfully made numerous cross-country with bikes with no issues. Convenient that swing gate opens without bike removal. What more could you ask of a bike carrier?
Very easy to install on the spare tire. Sturdy construction and priced 1/3 of the top name brands. Also, non of the top name brands hold three bikes like this does. Extremely satisfied and highly recommend it to anyone.

SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Swinging
2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and 2017 Toyota Tacoma - Having heavily researched this and other products for a 4 bike rack for our Rubicon and Tacoma, I decided on the SR2415. The Rubicon was the concern with finding a rack that would work for both vehicles. We have an after market Class III hitch on the Rubicon that is almost flush with the rear bumper (protrudes about 1" or less). This rack came very close to touching the tire at the top when the Bike Holder Bar is in the stored position (about 1/2" of clearance). We have BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM LT255-75-R17. Purchased a Locking Hitch pin with this, but the rack comes with a threaded ping and the racks pin hole is also threaded on the right side. Was not able to use the locking bolt but the bolt that came with it holds it very tight. Only concern it being stolen. The Tacoma wasn't a concern but having the swing feature is extremely helpful for needing to access the bed/tailgate.Swings out and away from the Jeep with a little more effort than expected. Overall we are very happy and excited to start using this and will report back any updates. Hitch: Smittybilt JH45 Receiver Hitch Read Tire: BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM LT255-75-R17 Vehicles: 2017 Jeep Rubicon and 2017 Toyota Tacoma Dimensions: Tire to Closest Part to Rack: ~1/2in or less (Top of Rack when folded down - Folded out for use is 3-4 inches) Next Closest Point of Contact: Hand Tightening Bolt is 1-2 in from the tire, makes it a little difficult to tighten.
I chose this rack for my 2014 Jeep Wrangler 4-door so that I would be able to get into the back without taking the bikes off, it works perfectly in this respect and made a long road trip much easier. The only issue with the fit is when you rotate the rack into the folded down position it will rub a little bit on the spare tire, I have the stock Goodyear spare on mine. If you are using a wider tire you'll likely have to add a short hitch extension to make it work for you or else just leave the rack in the up position all the time. A couple days after I bought this rack we drove up to Acadia National Park in Maine from our home in Northwestern PA, it was a 12+ hour drive one way and this rack held up great there and back. No excess shifting or bouncing and the straps are very easy to use without feeling like they're going to tear apart (or tear your hand apart). The rack weathered quite a bit of rain and damp, foggy days and shows no signs of being affected by it. I will note that when I put it together I added extra grease to all the hinge pins/bolts and the spring-loaded pin. All around it was a great performer at half the price of the Yakima and Thule counterparts; it's essentially the same design without all the "chrome" so-to-speak.

Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I've searched high and low for the right back rack that can take all the bikes I plan to haul. Looked at about everything out there and this one is by far the most stable and easy to use. The sway is much less than other racks I've had and the ease of putting it on and off is great. There are other racks I like but if you have fenders, heavy bikes or like the simplicity this is the one to get.
Excellent product and fast delivery.

Malone Runway Spare Tire Bike Rack for 3 Bikes - Adjustable Arms
The eTrailer has been a God send and we are so grateful. Our son-in-law died from COVID last year which left our daughter and two grand-daughters alone. This eTrailer was a gift which allows the three of them to get out for bike rides whenever they need to “clear their heads” and be refreshed in God’s glorious creation. This is the ONLY three bike carrier we know of… and Thank You for making it available. God bless.
I was excited to get this and eager to just pop it onto my spare tire like it shows in the video. 45 minutes later and I'm resigned to drilling an extra hole where the buttons are in order to tighten the hold over the tire, and chagrined that I had to "rear" my smaller bike frame angled upwards in order to seat it on the red rack receivers. This was because there wasn't enough room vertically on the frame or horizontally on the frame. Not sure how I would have been able to prepare for that, maybe there is some comment about smaller bike frames somewhere? One strap to secure the bikes is not enough in this situation, so things were strapped every which way, including the front tire of the bike so it wouldn't wobble everywhere. The bike and rack made it home for the maiden 60 mile highway trip, but I was not totally confident with it.

Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Matte Black
I've tried different brands and styles of racks over the years and the Kuat NV 2.0 Base Hitch Bike Rack is the one rack to rule them all. I was a little concerned by lack of a rear wheel cradle, but bikes are held securely without scratches or paint rub common with most racks. After a year of near daily use, I'm confident my bike is staying where I put it (always double check you've secured it properly). My 2003 Jeep Wrangler required a short hitch extension to clear the rear mounted spare, but even with that it's bomb proof!
