Best 2001 Jeep Cherokee Trailer Suspension Parts

New suspension parts made a real difference in trailer handling. Original shackles holes were severely elongated, spring eye mounts were also needing attention. Thank you, etrailer for the needed parts and support.

These parts were a perfect replacement for my old rusted u bolts. I would recommend buying flat and lock washers to place on the u bolts under the nuts due to the holes in the plates being big enough that the nuts get a little torn up when you tighten them, also the nuts it came with aren't lock nuts.

Just what I needed to save ware on springs and shackles. The greaseable bolds will make it possible to stop all that dry noise.

I bought these as spare hardware to keep with my trailer. They appear to be manufactured well and will be a direct replacement if I have a failure while transporting.

I'm working on a 12 ft long 1957 Corvette trailer. Easy install, and perfect fit. I dropped the axle to gain 3".

Rebuilding the leaf springs on my 1975 Hale 2 horse straight load. These U-bolts were what I needed. Very happy.

These nests are kind of hard to get wrong really. I welded them into position, haven’t thought about them since. So,… I mean,… that’s good right?

I havent really gotten a chance to use the trailer much since my purchase of the leaf springs. But they went on perfect and the stance is perfect. With a weight load , they should be just right.

I have received significant support from e-trailer over the past 10 days as I have made several purchases for a new axle, springs, and hangars for my utility trailer. Fit around axle is good but bolts could stand to be at least an inch longer, only tighten up flush with plate under my 5 leaf springs, could not use lock washers had to use red Loctite.

Just mounted my 1.5 inch square axle today using this item. Worked great. I used a cradle to align my axle on the slipper springs (no holes needed i. axle) but the cradle added about 1/4 inch. This means there were no extra bolt threads extending beyond the nut. The lock washers were fully compressed, though. The red on the bolt threads in the pic is just grease.

Poor quality hardware. Bolts had many burrs and would not thread without binding.

Perfect fit for the 2020 Geopro 19FD with the 3500# torflex axle. This resolves the issues with bottoming out on any road ramp angles and the ultra low tank discharge ports. The parts are really well made and the installation is simple. Be prepared for the 150 ft-lbs of torque on those bolts. (Always use a torque wrench!)

Worked great fit was good. I did not use standard nuts furnished but used Nylon lock nuts instead.

Compared to the original suspension parts that came off my trailer, these Dexter heavier duty suspension equalizer and shackle with treatable bronze bushing kit seems to be a major improvement. The shackles have double the thickness than original.

Looked under my trailer and the u bolts and plates wer rusted away, it's an old trailer so I had no details like make or model number. Called and talked to Kelly S. This product did exactly what we needed it to. Bought a replacement axle from Dexter but it created clearance issues in the wheel wells. After installing this kit we have much more clearance and the trailer rides like a dream.

Outstanding product. I am so grateful the install video was added to the page. I am a hands on individual and struggle reading directions with numerous steps at times and it made it so much easier to install this. The explanation of how the mount has to sit flush with the axle seat once you tighten down the spacers was very helpful during the alignment stage. I still have to weld the brackets to the axle for extra support as recommended but I did notice that I will be gaining roughly 4” of clearance height to my trailer. This will allow me to sit more evenly with my lifted truck and get my trailer in my driveway easier since I have a water drainage built in to the entrance way with a big dip.

I purchased this plate to upgrade the suspension on my trailer. I would get a a lot of trailer sway when I was towing my jet ski trailer. I bought the trailer used and never really looked at the springs. Unfortunately for me, There was nothing but one U bolt strapped diagonally across the spring. I'm no suspension expert but I knew this could NOT be safe. I did extensive research on trailer suspension. It was difficult to find parts for a 11/2 inch square axle. It was until I came across etrailer webpage. They had everything I required to upgrade and make my trailer safe to operate on the road. It was actually criminal what the person did to attach the original spring. I am greatful nothing ever happened while towing. Now with the new parts installed, I feel a lot better and my trailer does not sway anymore. I will definitely purchase my trailer needs from etrailer from now on. The pictures and videos make finding what I needed so much easier. The complete transaction from order to delivery was extremely efficient and the customer service is absolutely outstanding!

I bought a axle, springs wheels, hubs etc. to build a utility trailer, I inadvertently had ordered incompatible hubs for the selected axle the person filling the order noticed this and contacted customer service to alert them of the issue who then called me to correct the problem. Need to be stronger as do the axels. Despite being under the max load for the Malone mega sport and not traveling at over 60 mph when towing I have now had 2 1500lb axels and this is the 3rd set of hanger brackets as they crack on the sides and the axels bend partly die to poor conditions of the roads but also due to under engineered for the job and weight intended. Apart from the the mega Malone megasoort has held up. Suggest a better design for the mega sport as it’s intended for outfitters not occasional use.

Work as spected

I used these 'front' brackets for both front and rear ends of my leaf springs, because I couldn't find a bolt-on rear bracket. I had to bend 1/4" offsets into each of my rear shackles to make the rear brackets work. I added a spacer between my shackles to keep them perpendicular. The original rear clip was 1-3/4" wide on the outside and the shackles were outside the clips. I used 3/8" bolts to attach the brackets to my 3"x1-1/2" steel tube trailer frame. The bracket mounting tabs are drilled for 7/16" bolts, and I would have preferred to use 7/16" bolts, but I couldn't find that size at my local hardware stores. I moved my axle forward to rebalance my boat trailer, because I put a smaller engine on which made tongue weight way too heavy. I went with bolt-on brackets because I could do it myself (I don't have welding equipment). Overall, I'm satsified.

my friend ordered springs and hardware for my pontoon trailer. man did they get here fast. everything in one box. packed real good. no damage, nothing lost or left out. Excellent item. Great quality.

This trailer sees some use off pavement. The added ground clearance provided by the kit is very helpful. The lifting blocks are well constructed and the hardware is high quality. Installation was straightforward, but great care must be taken when lifting the trailer off the ground to remove the axles and also to ensure that the new fasteners are tightened properly. Not a job for inexperienced mechanics.

This kit arrived packaged very well and exactly as described. Inventory of included parts complete. It will be a straight forward job to install and solve my problem of having the trailer too low at the rear since I can't lower my hitch any further. I recently replaced both 20 year old Dexter #10 Torflex axles with 10 deg down vs 0 deg down spindles. I am glad for the improved ride instead of basically a solid axle, but still needed this kit to solve the angle of the trailer because I'm as low as I can go with my weight distribution hitch at the ball.

All parts fit my rebuild of new springs for my 1999 Bear trailer that my G3 Bassboat sat on for 26 yrs(used a lot for fishing on weekends)
