New suspension parts made a real difference in trailer handling. Original shackles holes were severely elongated, spring eye mounts were also needing attention. Thank you, etrailer for the needed parts and support.

These parts were a perfect replacement for my old rusted u bolts. I would recommend buying flat and lock washers to place on the u bolts under the nuts due to the holes in the plates being big enough that the nuts get a little torn up when you tighten them, also the nuts it came with aren't lock nuts.

Just what I needed to save ware on springs and shackles. The greaseable bolds will make it possible to stop all that dry noise.

I bought these as spare hardware to keep with my trailer. They appear to be manufactured well and will be a direct replacement if I have a failure while transporting.

I'm working on a 12 ft long 1957 Corvette trailer. Easy install, and perfect fit. I dropped the axle to gain 3".

These nests are kind of hard to get wrong really. I welded them into position, haven’t thought about them since. So,… I mean,… that’s good right?

Poor quality hardware. Bolts had many burrs and would not thread without binding.

Perfect fit for the 2020 Geopro 19FD with the 3500# torflex axle. This resolves the issues with bottoming out on any road ramp angles and the ultra low tank discharge ports. The parts are really well made and the installation is simple. Be prepared for the 150 ft-lbs of torque on those bolts. (Always use a torque wrench!)

Worked great fit was good. I did not use standard nuts furnished but used Nylon lock nuts instead.

Compared to the original suspension parts that came off my trailer, these Dexter heavier duty suspension equalizer and shackle with treatable bronze bushing kit seems to be a major improvement. The shackles have double the thickness than original.

Leaf springs showed up slightly rusted

This product did exactly what we needed it to. Bought a replacement axle from Dexter but it created clearance issues in the wheel wells. After installing this kit we have much more clearance and the trailer rides like a dream.

Outstanding product. I am so grateful the install video was added to the page. I am a hands on individual and struggle reading directions with numerous steps at times and it made it so much easier to install this. The explanation of how the mount has to sit flush with the axle seat once you tighten down the spacers was very helpful during the alignment stage. I still have to weld the brackets to the axle for extra support as recommended but I did notice that I will be gaining roughly 4” of clearance height to my trailer. This will allow me to sit more evenly with my lifted truck and get my trailer in my driveway easier since I have a water drainage built in to the entrance way with a big dip.

I purchased this plate to upgrade the suspension on my trailer. I would get a a lot of trailer sway when I was towing my jet ski trailer. I bought the trailer used and never really looked at the springs. Unfortunately for me, There was nothing but one U bolt strapped diagonally across the spring. I'm no suspension expert but I knew this could NOT be safe. I did extensive research on trailer suspension. It was difficult to find parts for a 11/2 inch square axle. It was until I came across etrailer webpage. They had everything I required to upgrade and make my trailer safe to operate on the road. It was actually criminal what the person did to attach the original spring. I am greatful nothing ever happened while towing. Now with the new parts installed, I feel a lot better and my trailer does not sway anymore. I will definitely purchase my trailer needs from etrailer from now on. The pictures and videos make finding what I needed so much easier. The complete transaction from order to delivery was extremely efficient and the customer service is absolutely outstanding!

I bought a axle, springs wheels, hubs etc. to build a utility trailer, I inadvertently had ordered incompatible hubs for the selected axle the person filling the order noticed this and contacted customer service to alert them of the issue who then called me to correct the problem. This trailer sees some use off pavement. The added ground clearance provided by the kit is very helpful. The lifting blocks are well constructed and the hardware is high quality. Installation was straightforward, but great care must be taken when lifting the trailer off the ground to remove the axles and also to ensure that the new fasteners are tightened properly. Not a job for inexperienced mechanics.

This kit arrived packaged very well and exactly as described. Inventory of included parts complete. It will be a straight forward job to install and solve my problem of having the trailer too low at the rear since I can't lower my hitch any further. I recently replaced both 20 year old Dexter #10 Torflex axles with 10 deg down vs 0 deg down spindles. I am glad for the improved ride instead of basically a solid axle, but still needed this kit to solve the angle of the trailer because I'm as low as I can go with my weight distribution hitch at the ball.

The jack is decent. My only complaint would be that the wheel I purchased to go on to the jack does not pivot or turn when I push the trailer around. I have to constantly kick the wheel in order to guide the trailer into position.

very good products and real good price

i liked the time it took to get, i liked the ease at which it was to order, liked no shipping fees, i did not like that the spring plates were not for 1 3/4 or 2 in springs, the ones received were for 2 in to 2 1/8 in. i used the plates i had that allowed the u bolts ride much closer to springs. maybe thats the way they are made now. but if thats the case i would not buy them again. Also liked the prices but i thought i saw that the spring bushings came with the kit. It is very possible i was mistaken about that. All in all i would order from etrailer again.

I only needed the equalizers,shackles and bolts as mine were worn out. I already had new bushings left over from another project...... it was a great deal and a great fit. No problems, Fast Shipping and YES I will be using etrailer.com again!

Product and service are excellent. You should consider using better shipping containers or using a different shipper. My box showed up with a hole in the bottom and the tape ripped almost gave way. By reading other comments this is not the first time.

I Waited Too Long to Replace Trailer Bushings -The past few years I would hear “clunking” sound (different than “squeaking”) from my boat trailer, but I got concerned this year as it seemed louder. -With the boat off the trailer I could see wear around the shackle bolts -I called eTrailer to order the parts and was helped by Kayla to order the bushings/shackles/bolts/nuts for my tandem axle trailer -After trying to press the bushings in I realized I measured poorly and had two different bushings, the equalizer had 1 size and springs had a different size. -Amanda helped me get the second set of bushings (delaying the project for 5 days…but my fault) Right or wrong: -I applied anti-seize compound to the shackle bolt threads -I pre-loaded the “wet” bolts with marine grease to fill them up before inserting them into the suspension, adding grease when everything is installed -I tightened the bolts very securely and they backed off the nut ½ turn to allow for suspension movement Lessons learned: -Look for different size bushings in equalizer/springs and measure correctly ID & OD precisely -It takes some time to do this job (about 4 working hours per side) so try to do it when you are not under pressure -If you want the re-paint some parts, allow for primer and top coat drying time, i.e. overnight which adds time to the project, but it comes out better -Have a big breaker bar & extension/enforcer to help get the nuts on & off. My ½” impact gun could not tighten them all the way -A large “C” clamp will press the bushing in smooth & straight instead of using a hammer & block of wood “caveman style” -Annually inspect your trailer suspension for signs of wear and listen for increased noise Thanks again to Kayla, Amanda and eTrailer for help with this project.

My 6' x 10' landscape trailer was a homemade by a prior owner. While it was mostly constructed very well, the spring hangers were not correct. The spacing for the springs was also wrong, and it had very little fender clearance. There was also evidence that the spring U-bolts had contacted the frame on occasion. (I do not carry loads anywhere near the 3500# axle rating.) I added an extra set of holes on the front hangers in case the ride height proved to be too much, but I like the way it sits with the stock holes. I don't think I'll be utilizing the extra holes. This kit was just the ticket to increase the suspension travel and fender clearance on my landscape trailer. Now it "sits right"!
