This ball mount gives me the adjustment I needed on my Dodge Grand Caravan when I rent different trailers. The part that goes into the hitch does have a little play but it is no worse than my current fixed height ball mount. The adjustable ball mount with the 2 pins also has about a 1/8" play so be ready for that if you buy this adjustable ball mount. That would be the only improvement I think they could make in the future is to have the pins a little larger and/or the holes a little smaller to reduce the play. However, this might just be the way these need to be designed at this price point based on the research I have done with other adjustable hitches.

Unit worked, but the fit between the 2.5" adapter and the hitch was loose. It caused the trailer to rock back and forth with every application of the brakes. Had to make shims to stop unit from clanking. Felt like if length of attaching piece was longer it would had helped. Attached picture to help illustrate.

Just as described, excellent product. I would recommend keeping the interchangeable ball clean and removed from the receiver for years of headache free use. I use this on a 16 Town & Country with the rise, it sets the boat on a very level plane.

Keep with spare tire out of weather to prevent rust.

Ordered this hitch and it worked perfect for what I needed just bought a teardrop trailer. Couldn't open up the tailgate on my Jeep so I ordered this extended hitch and I brought the ball out past my spare tire and the tailgate opens up now I have no problems. And I looked everywhere couldn't find one of this quality and at this price very reasonable the other ones hundreds of dollars didn't want to spend that much.

This was the longest hitch ball mount I could find anywhere. I used it with a short extension for my 2021 T G so that I could open the back doors without hitting the trailer wheel crank. With my new trailer, Intact Flyer Discover, I don't need the extension and can still open the doors. Works well.

Delivery was fast. Arrived in well packed box. Installed product with no issues at all. Works great and as advertised. Will be towing a travel trailer and needed a connection for a bike rack. When all installed, have plenty of room for placing bikes on bike rack. Really like this product!

With good information from the website it was easy to order a Curt 2" Trailer Hitch, the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit w/ 4-Pole Connector and Circuit Tester - 119178KIT, Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches (3/4" Rise, 2" Drop - 10-1/4" Long - 7,500 lbs - D-4), Curt Pin and Clip Hitch Receiver - C21500, Rubber Tube Cover for 2" Trailer Hitch Receivers - I-728,Review, and 2" hitch ball 40038. Parts were delivered earlier than the initial estimate. Self installation (on a sloped drive way) took just under 2 hour. The fit of parts was very good, instructions and on-line video's were very helpful. My Kia did not have the wire plug in option, but the splice connections in the wire kit were easy to install. Most of the parts are hidden from view when the ball mount is not used.

I have a custom made tow guard. The ball mount I have was too short to allow me to attach the tow guard to my new truck. I searched the web and found just what I needed at etrailer.com. I bought a Curt trailer hitch for my 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, with Stow and Go seating. I spoke with Kevin from etrailer.com who was very helpful and confirmed the part numbers for the hitch, wiring harness, and drawbar, and took my order. They arrived at my house on the next day. The parts arrived in two boxes - one large box for the hitch, the other smaller box for the wiring harness and drawbar. The parts were all there, and correct, with installation instructions included. I spent about an hour installing the hitch itself, including jacking up the rear of the van to gain access to the underside, installing the hitch, and letting the car down. The instructions were spot-on. The wiring took less than an hour. I cleaned up and waxed the area behind the tailights, and routed the wiring carefully. The wiring was a perfect fit. Again, the instructions helped considerably. The free shipping was a selling factor, plus their lowest price pledge saved me a little over $30.00. I am glad I decided to purchase the hitch and accessories from etrailer.com.
