Hey John, thanks for reaching out!
Replacement bike rack parts can be a bit confusing to find, but I really like delving into this stuff and I'm pretty confident you're looking for the bolt for the older Thule Vertex bike rack, which looks similar to the newer Apex XT # TH9025XT. The exact replacement adapter and bolt parts for the Vertex are listed below:
- 12 x 40 mm Hitch Bolt # 908-1240-54
- M12 Washer # 951-1224-54
- M12 Lock Washer # 956122159
- 2" Hitch Adapter # 853-7489

Hey Sergi, thanks for reaching out!
Go with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e55ZR. There are some subtle differences in design but really what the price difference amounts to is the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7381 was really the first of it's kind on the market, but then other companies started coming out with their own designs like it and TorkLift/EcoHitch still thinks that their design is much more superior to everything else on the market...which it isn't.

Hey Garret, we actually have an LED light kit for the etrailer cargo carrier part # e98874 with the part # e67RV which puts a couple smaller light bars at the rear of the carrier like you can see in the attached picture. These will have the running light circuit as well as a brighter illumination for the stop/turn circuit. This would connect to your tow vehicle with a 4-way trailer wiring harness.
The Benton cargo net part # B32FR is a great way to secure items to the carrier as well. view full answer...
Hey Paul, thanks for reaching out!
Yes, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e55ZR installation will be the same for your 2025 Subaru Ascent. We actually had the opportunity to install this on a 2022 model so I'm attaching that video and a photo of the finished result for you to check out.
As far as the wiring goes, I recommend the T-One # 118790 from Tekonsha over the T-Connector # C56040 from Curt. The T-One has an upgraded module and tends to be more reliable, while the T-Connector... view full answer...
Hey Paul! Thank you for providing that information. Since choosing a weight distribution hitch (WDH) is based on tongue weight the most important thing is your 490 lb measurement. Based on that I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37060ET.
Equal-i-zer makes a great system and is widely considered to be the best. Unlike other companies, weight distribution is their main focus so you get a high quality product that works incredibly well with... view full answer...
Hey Andy! Since you have the tow package on your 2023 Subaru Ascent there is a custom wiring harness available. You will still need the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR. Then you can use the Curt Custom Wiring # C48RJ along with the Redarc Curt Adapter # 331-TPH-019. This will allow you to plug directly into the OEM brake controller port on your Ascent.
If you want to save a little money, the same two wiring harnesses will also work with the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR.... view full answer...
Since your 2021 R-Pod 192 has a 3,500 lb Lippert axle the correct lift kit you'd need is the part # LC270682 which will give it a 3-1/2 inch lift. view full answer...
Hey Gene, while I don't know what vehicle you have I can say that most people attach the mounting bracket for the 7-way of the # ETBC7 to the lower bumper fascia edge. That's typically the best location for it. See the attached picture to see what I mean. view full answer...
Hey Evan! That factory plug on your Ascent is only designed for a 4-way. You will need to start by adding the Curt # C56040 which plugs into that factory connection. From there, you can add the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L.
This kit comes with the adapter and your 12V power wire, not a brake output wire, since it is designed for wireless brake controllers like the Curt Echo # C51180. The Echo plugs in-line at the rear of the vehicle so you will... view full answer...
Hey Joe. The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness item # RED52VR is going to be the correct one for your 2020 Subaru Ascent with the Tow Package. This kit includes the Tow-Pro Liberty RED24FR and the universal wiring harness RED69FR you referenced in your question. The Universal Mounting Panel item # 331-TPSI-001 is not included with the kit so it'll need to be purchased separately.
Please note that there is no custom fit brake controller harness for your... view full answer...
I've attached the dimension pictures you requested for the # 37220BL. Let me know if you would like any other dimensions and I'll get them added in. view full answer...
Yes, Tekonsha released the part # 3062-P which is a brake controller install harness that fits your 2019 Subaru Ascent and would work well. I attached a picture that shows where you'll find it on your vehicle too.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle... view full answer...
Hey, Rafael!
I wouldn't recommend putting the The Malone Fishing Rod Storage Tube part # MPG541 on any sort of aero shaped bar. The bracket that it comes with is designed to be used on square or round bars so wouldn't be able to sit properly on the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack part # MAL84AR.
We do have different rod carriers like the Yakima TopWater part # Y04088 and the Inno Rod Box part # IN52FR. What kind of rods and how many are you needing and wanting to be able to carry? view full answer...
According to Tekonsha, the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3062-P will fit your 2019 Subaru Ascent and allow you to use the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160. The plug is located underneath the dash and left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal which you can see in the attached photo. view full answer...
Hey Rick, thanks for getting in touch. According to the instructions for the Curt # C13400, the spare tire heat shield is permanently removed. The instructions says to remove it and return it to the customer which means it does not go back on the vehicle after the hitch is installed. The verbiage in the instructions is a little weird and confusing on this. I even checked with our installers here at our shop and they confirmed the spare tire heat shield is not intended to go back on. So,... view full answer...
Hello Todd. The Yakima ReelDeal Rooftop Fishing Rod Carrier # Y04089 uses clamps to mount to the crossbars. The clamps are adjustable so they can be made to fit virtually any crossbar size or shape. The ReelDeal is clamp-on only so this must be how it attaches to the LockNLoad platform. view full answer...
While there aren't any cargo carriers that would fit two mobility scooters or even be able to handle the weight of two, you do still have the option of using a trailer like the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6. The loading gate isn't the best for a mobility scooter so I recommend getting some loading ramps # 288-07474-2 as well. You can use some tie-down straps like # EM04418 to secure your scooters to the trailer. view full answer...
Hey Zach, I'd be more than happy to help you get your 2019 Subaru Ascent set up for towing a trailer!
Here are the parts I recommend using:
- etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e55ZR
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118790
- Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7
- Curt Echo Under-Dash Bluetooth Brake Controller # C47YV
I really like the etrailer hitch because it has a matte black finish that lasts better than a glossy finish, and then the T-One wiring is the most reliable, and the universal... view full answer...
Congrats on the new Subaru Dave! I do indeed have the installation instructions for our etrailer Hitch item # e55ZR. I have linked them below and also attached a couple of installation videos we've made to help you out.
Before you move our etrailer Hitch item # e55ZR over to your new 2026 Subaru Ascent you have to replace the installation hardware. The bolts are only designed to be torqued down upon the initial installation. The bolts do stretch and fatigue over years of use and you won't... view full answer...
Hey Josef,
The reason it is saying not compatible is because for that Redarc brake controller # RED75CR there is no custom fit plug and play harness for the Ford Transit. You can still install that brake controller you will just have to splice into the factory wiring in order to install. Most people don't like doing that but if that is okay with you then the Redarc would work for both your vehicles.
For the Subaru there is a harness available to make it a plug and play installation.... view full answer...
