Congrats on the new Subaru Dave! I do indeed have the installation instructions for our etrailer Hitch item # e55ZR. I have linked them below and also attached a couple of installation videos we've made to help you out.

Before you move our etrailer Hitch item # e55ZR over to your new 2026 Subaru Ascent you have to replace the installation hardware. The bolts are only designed to be torqued down upon the initial installation. The bolts do stretch and fatigue over years of use and you won't be able to retorque them to the proper 48lb-fts.

To get new hardware for our etrailer Hitch item # e55ZR, you'll need the Replacement Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches item # RHK. This will get you the same mounting hardware that came with the hitch when you originally installed it on your 2022 Subaru Ascent.

You will want to go to the item # RHK product page and on the right hand side where it says Hitch Item Number you'll want to insert e55ZR.

Additionally, the Tekonsha wiring harness you purchased back in 2022 will fit the 2026 Ascent as well. It's comparable to the Curt item # C56040 that also fits both your vehicles. I linked an installation video for it as well, along with the installation instructions, so you can get it set back up if you're moving it over.

The replacement hardware kit has every thing you need to transfer your hitch to another vehicle. The original hardware should not be used even if you could retrieve it, which I could not do and I am pretty handy.
