Will etrailer Hitch Install for 2025 Subaru Ascent be the Same as 2021 Model Year?

For a 2025 Subaru Ascent Touring edition, is the installation of an E55ZR hitch any different than what is shown in your video for a 2021 Ascent? Also, is the wiring system from Curt preferred over Tekonsha product? Thanks.

Hey Paul, thanks for reaching out!
Yes, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e55ZR installation will be the same for your 2025 Subaru Ascent. We actually had the opportunity to install this on a 2022 model so I'm attaching that video and a photo of the finished result for you to check out.
As far as the wiring goes, I recommend the T-One # 118790 from Tekonsha over the T-Connector # C56040 from Curt. The T-One has an upgraded module and tends to be more reliable, while the T-Connector has an older module that doesn't last as long.
Do you already have a ball mount kit?

Thanks for the info Jon. I figured it would be pretty similar. I seem to recall the same advice about the Tekonsha harness from when I bought my last hitch from eTrailer. I don't mind paying extra for a better quality product. I do have several ball mounts. Not sure what I might need, or if I might need, anything else. The hitch right now will be primarily for a bike rack, but maybe a light trailer down the line.
