Wiring a trailer doesn’t have to mean cutting and splicing wires. The Curt T-Connector with 4-flat trailer connector simply plugs into the vehicle’s existing tail light wiring. The connectors sit behind the interior trim, keeping everything hidden and clean. Most setups only call for basic hand tools like a screwdriver.
Intermittent or weak trailer lights often come down to a poor ground. This harness includes a white ground wire with a ring terminal that attaches to bare metal for a steady, full-power connection. Stopped working the second time I hooked up a trailer. The whole thing still looks brand new. Something inside the sealed box must have broken or come loose. Get another one somewhere else.

You need a tool specific to removing plastic paneling. The dealer can do this for you in under 10 minutes. The bottom portion where the hatch back locks down has a plastic strip. This needs to be removed first.
Then driver's side and passenger side at the top of the read panels can be pry'd out enough to get your hand in there to attach the clips and sling the wire in whatever direction you wish it to exit.
The whole process should not take more than 15 minutes top.
This was too easy. I'm a military mechanic and really check anything out before I install it on my car and this seemed well made and of pretty good quality.
Easy install, you can work it through the floor and repin the connector, or just leave it in the trunk and pull it out when needed.
Received this along with the hitch I ordered. I had watched the video of the installation after ordering it and as a result knew exactly what I was doing. Everything came apart and went back together as expected.
Easy to use. Clear instructions. Trim on 2014 Juke is a pain, I just popped the side covers out enough to get to the area with the light connections. I had a threaded hole on the drivers quarter area. I used a spare metric bolt to attach the ground. I dont know what size it is, maybe a hair smaller than quarter inch with fine threads. Reccomend using that as a ground if you have it.
Very easy to install. With the very limited/vague instructions the not so mechanically inclined individual might be a little apprehensive to install, however not to difficult at all. Instructions should probably state that the panels that have to be removed are held in place with spring clips so that folks are not worried about breaking things.
Good quality wiring harness, very easy plug in installation, instructional video was extremely helpful! All needed parts are included, even the grounding screw. I was very please with this wiring harness, and it works as it's supposed to! Great price as well.

Thanks for checking in. I love the product still. It gets weekly usage from bike racks, to pulling a jet ski and trailers. Havent had any issues at all.
Install was very easy, it is just a matter of taking time to carefully remove isde panels and base plate so as not to break the clips. I also purchased the tow hitch was equally as easy to mount. My total work time for both was about one and a quarter hours.
I have not installed the harness yet on my daughter-in-inlaws Juke, but so far dealing with etrailer.com has been fantastic. Product info, ordering and shipping was far above what I am used to, delivery was fast even with the holiday weekend. The quality of the harness is evident, very well made and engineered. I was pretty pleased to find out that there is a kit specific to my vehicle. I watched the video a couple of times before I even began the process. WATCH THE VIDEO. I went into the garage and began the process. I took all of the trim apart and removed the tire first just to see what I was going to need for tools and LIGHT. There's never as much light as you think. Once I got to that point I opened the package and made sure that I had all of the pieces. I followed the sequence on the video. WATCH THE VIDEO so that you don't plug the harness into the stereo system like I did. Fortunately it was just a matter of unplugging and plugging into the correct connections. After I put the wire where I wanted it I was going to use the double sided tape to anchor the control box. The double sided tape must have been old. There was no sticky left to it. I have a ton of duct tape ......... it's not going anywhere. If it were going to be visible I would have cared more. Any issues I have with the product are pretty much first word problems right now. A test light said that I'd done it right. as long as The plug-ins are good I should be OK. A Nissan Juke is a small car and this will be used only occasionally to tow a small trailer with three bicycles. I do like the fact that the plug is stored in the vehicle and will be out of the weather. Thanks Etrailer

I bought this wiring harness for my Nissan Juke and it was quick and easy to install. I love the plug and play method of this harness. It's a lot cleaner (more professional looking) than the old method of splicing into wires to make the connections.
Etrailer service/price excellent. However, the product doesn't work properly. Easy installation, lights didn't function the way they should. I purchased a universal assembly spliced it in ahead of the Curt unit and it worked perfectly. I cut the Curt out. It might work as a universal on another car. Loved the easy install it was worth the extra $25 to keep the connectors.
Good product overall. Installation instructions were a bit light on details - didn't mention that you needed to really pull hard to get the interior panels out. A better picture would have been enough.
One quality problem: one of the pins in the shunt connector was pushed out the rear of the connector - so the connection was intermittent at first. I had to go back in and find the problem - and push the pin back into the connector, which fixed the problem.

One of the easiest things I've ever done on a car! Followed the video exactly and there was no way to mess it up. The only negative was that the VHB take included in the kit wasn't very sticky, but I wedged the controller in there so it wouldn't move. I will be picking up a similar kit for all future vechicles!

One year later the wiring is still working great! We just returned from a 700-mile trip with the trailer and had no issues with the lights.
