Trailer Brake Lights Do Not Work But Turn and Running Lights Do On 2013 Nissan Juke

Question:
I have a 2013 Nissan Juke. Ive installed C56124 and the brake lights dont work. The running lights and hazard lights work fine. I used a test light and verified there is power on the green and yellow wires on the 4 pin harness when the brake is applied. Ive tested this on two trailers and I get the same result. Could I have a defective black box?

The issue you are having with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56124 is most likely attributed to a poor ground. Therefore, I recommend that you remove the ring terminal for the ground, sand down the surface, and then reattach. There have been others with this same issue that was then resolved when the wiring harness was re-grounded. If you still continue to have issues after the ground has been checked please just let me know. I would also be sure to check the pins inside of each trailer connector to make sure non are bent or corrosion is present.
