When heavy cargo or a trailer starts to weigh down the rear, the LoadLifter 5000 air springs step in with up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity. They keep your vehicle level from front to back so braking, steering, and headlight aim stay consistent even when you’re hauling serious weight. By sharing the load across all four wheels, these air springs cut down on rear-end squat and take the strain off your factory suspension for steadier handling on the road.
Every haul is different, and this setup lets you dial in support to match. Each air bag can be adjusted independently from 5 psi to 100 psi for side-to-side and front-to-rear leveling. Manual inflation valves mount on the bumper for easy access, making quick adjustments simple whether you’re towing, carrying uneven bed loads, or running empty. Add an onboard compressor system later if you want in-cab pressure control—this kit is ready for that upgrade.
Bouncing and sway make any drive tiring, but the LoadLifter 5000 handles it with tough, two-ply fabric-reinforced rubber air bags that absorb road shock. Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these Air Lift LoadLifter 5,000 Air Helper springs for your rear axle. Now, this kit is designed to fit your 2019 and newer Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2,500 4-wheel drive with a 144-inch wheel base. On custom-fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Simply input the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if another kit will work for you.
I do wanna let you know that we also have this kit available for a longer wheelbase as well for the same vehicle. So again, you can find that in our vehicle fit guide. So with this kit, you are going to get a safer ride, while at the same time, protecting your vehicle from the strain that comes from hauling heavier loads. Now, carrying heavy cargo as you know, is gonna put tremendous strain and stress on your vehicle. Your brakes are going to erode faster.
Your tires are gonna wear unevenly and handling is going to suffer severely. So when towing or hauling a heavy load, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. So by pairing your existing suspension with these LoadLifter 5,000 Air Helper springs, you're gonna be able to seriously beef-up your existing suspension. And also, it's going to ensure equal load distribution in your vehicle. So these are gonna give your vehicle the support that it's going to desperately need.
These Air Helper springs are going to give you up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and it's going to help distribute the weight of your payload to all four wheels. So as a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is going to be significantly reduced. Now, taking a slightly closer look at this kit, these airbags are made here in the USA of high-quality two-ply fabric-reinforced rubber. Most airbags lose air at the ends where the bag is enclosed with the steel cap because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. But the end caps on these springs, which you can't see because I have tried to kinda loosely assemble these to kind of give you an idea of what they're gonna look like installed.
But the end cap on these are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon. That's a material that's both stronger but lighter than steel. So that's going to ensure that these airbags are not going to lose air. Also, these springs come with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates that you see here, which will both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs. These are gonna be adjustable from 5 to 100 PSI, giving you that precise support that you're looking for. So they can be inflated independently of one another for front to rear or side to side leveling. So this is going to include everything that you see laid out on my table before me. You're going to get the custom-fit brackets, the hardware. And obviously some of the hardware is in use, holding the pieces together here for our demonstration purposes. You're gonna get airline, the inflation valves. You're also going to get an instruction sheet or a booklet rather, to guide you through the installation process. And the manual valve. The manual valves are typically mounted on the bumper for easier access. Now, you can get compressor systems with end cap gauges that can be added to monitor and automatically adjust the air pressure. These items we do sell separately on our website, but you can find them under the related product section on this product page. Now, as I mentioned, the load-leveling capacity is 5,000 pounds, but it is important to know that these Air Helper springs are not actually going to increase your vehicle's load-leveling or carrying capacity. So you do wanna be sure that you still do not exceed your manufacturer's recommended weight limit on your vehicle. Things are working well so far. I tow and haul during the spring,summer and fall. The most air I put in the bags was 50 PSI. The air still holds pretty good towing.Time will tell if the bags hold up as the bags age.

The Air Lift is working GREAT a year later. We just hauled a Generac 705 miles up north and brought a load of big rocks back for a guy that wanted to build a waterfall for his coy fish and the Air lift system was able to handle the weight just fine and rode great. Every one comments about how smooth the truck rides. The Air Lift system has handled everything we have asked it it to and has been trouble free. These will go on every truck I won in the future.

So far, After a year of use, these air bag helpers I installed on our 21 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab are working just fine. Id recommend them in a heartbeat.

Airlift Bags have performed well, compressor does adjust more at low pressure 10 psi I assume for air temp change, I have checked for leaks multiple time and none found. 6500 towing miles at 80 psi with little auto adjusting pressure and no issues.

Inflation valves tend to loosen. Must be checked regularly. Suggest some type of lock washers be supplied. The only way I found to improve the rear seat ride is to decrease tire pressure. I only do this when expecting passengers so I don’t wear the tires excessively.
