When the safe is mounted on the passenger seat, the driver can reach it from the front seat, open it with the keypad, and retrieve stored items before heading to the next stop.
A loose storage box can slide around, get moved, or draw attention once someone finds it, which undercuts the point of having a fixed place for valuables. The seat-locking mechanism secures the safe to the seat structure, and the steel construction pairs a 20-gauge body with a 16-gauge door for added protection around the storage compartment. Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at a unique product, the Headrests Safe for compact cars. Now folks, if you carry valuables like me in your car, whether it's a pistol, jewelry, money, passports, medications, such kind of things, electronics, you already know that it's a challenge, right, do I put 'em in the glove box Well, most people can see that even if it's locked, if they really wanna get in there, they're gonna get in there. Do I put it under the seat Those kind of things. Well, with this set, you don't have to worry about that anymore.
So this is the Headrest Safe, and it's a set of two. You're gonna have a passenger side, which actually has the concealed safe in it, and a driver's side headrest that does not have a safe in it. And these are gonna be hidden, discreet, they're gonna look OE. These are designed to hold up to a full size pistol, and again, cash, passports, medication, jewelry, electronics, et cetera. So this compact design is gonna be great for daily drivers, whether it's your work truck, those kind of things.
But again, this particular set's made really for a compact car, we do offer these in different colors. We have some leather, et cetera. So you can find all the different options here separately here at etrailer. So the way this works is, again, this is the passenger side one, and if I was sitting in the driver's side seat and I want to access the safe, all I have to do is literally just pull down on the magnetic door. Let me come around here to the front so it's easy to see.
And now I have access. I can use my fingerprint, I can use a code. Or if I really needed to, I can use a key. But I do have this knob off right now just to show you, 'cause I don't wanna program it. It's new.
You do get this little knob. This actually has two set screws that conceals where the key inserts, the way it's hidden. So again, I just have that pulled out now just so we can kinda look inside without programming it. So if I open it up, keep in mind this would open flat fully without that key in there. Now I can reach all the way in. I got a pretty big hand. I can put a full-sized pistol. It actually has some foam back in the back that's also removable. So maybe I'm not putting the pistol in, maybe I'm just putting electronics and, you know, jewelry and those kind of things. A passport, maybe. Lemme get this outta here. This is removable. So this padded foam is all over the inside and this is gonna be great for, you know, keeping that pistol up outta the way and stuff. I'll leave that out here. But again, now you can see just how deep in this truly goes. And then whenever you got your valuables inside, again, normally you would just close it and it would lock. And then you have that key pad again to open it whenever you need to. And then while I got this up here, so when you're installing these, these are pretty adjustable. So you've got these main rods here that can pivot or slide rather. And then once you get 'em to match up the footprint of your particular seat, then you're gonna install them using these included spacers. So depending on, because this is universal, depending on what size spacer you need, they do include all those different options for the spacer. You have a USBC charger here. That's for charging the battery that's inside of the unit there. And then of course you got the keys with this special pin tool. That is the tool needed to take off the set screws on the main knob there. So again, folks, the biggest advantage here is convenience, right So the storage compartment's integrated into your seats, it's gonna be right there next to you. Again, you can just simply reach over, open that magnetic door, get out what you need to get out, and then close it back up and no one's gonna know that this is in your vehicle.
