  Yes, the best way to deter thieves with bolt cutters is to use a very short pin lock in the latch part # e98885. This etrailer.com stainless steel coupler lock only measures a 1/2" span and will not give the thief room to use the bolt cutters to cut it off because it is too tight against the latch. As long as the hole in your latch is a 1/4" and the latch is no wider than 1/2" this will work well for you. They can also be keyed alike so you can use 1 key for your work trailers.

  The closest I have to the 1" is the etrailer Trailer Coupler Latch Lock part # e98890 which has the 7/8" span. There is some excess threading in the lock when installing it that will allow it to work with your 1" span requirements. Unfortunately they can only be keyed alike when ordered together.

  I can answer each of these questions for you, and the etrailer Stainless Steel Trailer Coupler Lock - 1/2" Span # e98885 is the same as the Deadbolt RC2-SS that you previously purchased. Just part of the lock is not available for replacement, unfortunately, so you will need a new lock in its entirety. Also, specific key/lock numbers are not available so the key code you get will be random. If you want everything keyed alike you would have to get all new locks and select the "keyed alike"...

  I may have a solution for you, but those MasterLock trailer locks you were looking at unfortunately cannot be keyed alike, so you'd need some different options. For the coupler locks I recommend using the etrailer 2-5/16" coupler lock # e98894 or etrailer 1-7/8" or 2" coupler lock # e98893. For the latch lock I recommend using the etrailer # e98885 and for the locking hitch pins I recommend using the # e98882. You could have all of these parts keyed alike so you'd only need 1 key.
