Recommended Suspension Enhancement For A 2017 Grand Design Reflection 29RS

Question:

I’m have a 2017 Grand Design Reflection 29rs. I am looking to upgrade my suspension hangers and the brackets that are welded to the frame. What options do I have? Looking for improved durability.

We can definitely help upgrade the suspension on your 2017 Grand Design Reflection 29RS. For a shackle/bolt kit, your best bet will be one of the MORyde suspension upgrade kits. We will want to confirm the length of the current shackle straps (measured center hole to center hole). For a tandem axle trailer we have the # MR46ZR which comes with 2-1/4" long shackles, or the # MR98ZR which comes with 3-1/8" long shackle straps. These MORyde kits are great quality and will be a nice upgrade from stock. The shackles are 1/2" thick which is twice as thick as most stock shackles. The kit comes with bronze bushings and wet bolts. So as long as you keep them greased, they will last a very long time.

If you want to replace the hangers welded to the frame, we do have tandem axle hanger kits like the # H248. This comes with 3-1/4" tall front and rear hangers and 3-5/8" tall center hangers. We will want to keep the hanger size the same as stock if possible. So if you can measure the current hangers, we will know what to use as a replacement. There is not going to be much variance in the thickness of our hangers. Virtually all of the hangers we carry are 3/16" thick steel which will be sufficient for a camper like yours.
