Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light
The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
PC-Rated Lights
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Optronics Surface Mount Sealed LED Marker Clearance Light. This red rectangular light functions as a clearance light or side marker light for your trailer. It is a PS rated light. So it will function as both a clearance and side marker light when mounted at a 40 degree angle. It features a completely sealed water proof housing and lens unit. It contains a total of 14 LED's.
Now LED's make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter and they're much more efficient. You don't have to worry on replacing bulbs or worried about brittle filaments and Optronics puts a lifetime warranty on their LED's. Now this is a surface mount installation. The mount holes are separated on center by three inches, mounting hardware not included and it is a two wire design.
So your black wire is your power wire and your white wire is your ground wire. The unit is SAE and Department of Transportation compliant.Taking a look at the overall dimensions real quick, edge to edge. That gives a measurement of about three and seven-eighths long. Side to side about two inches. The overall depth front to back is about one inch deep.
We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting. So, here you can see the light sends out a really nice strong consistent signal. Again, it contains a total of 14 LED's.
So the multi-dial design really helps optimize the light output. When it comes to the power draw at 12 point eight volts, we're looking at zero point eight seven amps and that's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics Surface Mount Sealed LED Marker Clearance Light.

Once again, your shipping person has simply thrown all these lights in a box with NO packing material whatsoever. Packing material needs to be used to prevent the lights from damaging each other as they bounce down the road on a 1500+ road trip in a UPS/USPS truck across 2/3rd of the US.
This lack of proper packing needs to stop, NOW.
I’ve complained about this problem multiple times for at least 3 years and your shipping people just don’t seem to care.
The last order I placed, I had to get part of the lights reshipped because they were severely damaged.

Poor packaging like always. These were thrown in a box with a bunch of metal parts, causing damage to the lights during shipping. etrailer never reads my reviews and fixes this issue, which I complain about every time I order these lights. THey arrive damaged nearly every time I place an order. See photos.

Once again, your shipping department failed to put any packing material in my order to keep the lights from banging around against each other.

Excellent product, but once again there's an EPIC FAIL from the etrailer shipping department. I've complained about this problem multiple times in these reviews, even posting photos showing how badly the order are packed, and they STILL refuse to properly pack these lights to keep them from bouncing around in the box and damaging each other. This has been an ongoing problem for well over 3 years!

Tires were packed in a large box, which smashed against a smaller box that had LED lights placed inside. ONCE AGAIN, your shipment department has failed to properly pack my orders. This happens EVERY TIME I place an order.

Once again, your shipping department has failed to properly pack these lights. This happens every time I order these lights. I'm sick and tired of getting lights that are all scratched up because they bounce around and damage each other because you NEVER put any packing material in the box, just the lights.
Oh, and there's a wire hanging out of the box too.

Product is awesome, but as you can see by the photos, etrailer shipping staff still don't know how to properly package items to prevent them from banging around against each other while bouncing down the highway in the back of a truck while traveling 1500 miles across the US. I've brought this to their attention multiple times and the problem still hasn't been fixed.
There was NO packing material in this box.

I recently ordered lights to replace the original lights on my neighbor’s 20 year old DewEze Jay Bed and I couldn’t be happier with the entire process!
Everything arrived quickly and in perfect shape with plenty of cushioning to prevent damage.
The combination tail lights are simply perfect for the application and the reverse lights are BRIGHT!
I actually prefer these surface mounted tail lights over the gasketed style that is currently on my flatbed trailer.
In the future I will be ordering several sets of these to replace the lights on the trailer and for a flatbed that will be going on my own truck, I’m planning on using two sets in the truck’s flatbed with one set on the headache rack using the reverse lights as bed lights, I shouldn’t have any problems seeing stuff on the bed at night.

The Optronics side marker lamp was an easy install and, so far, has stood up excellently. No issues. If you need replacement side marker lights I would highly recommend these.
