Features to know about

Tow Heavy Loads Without Giving Up Cargo Space: Dual 2" Receivers for Maximum Versatility

The TorkLift SuperHitch Original gives you two 2" x 2" receiver openings stacked vertically, so you can tow a trailer and still use a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier at the same time. Most hitches only give you one receiver, and adapters that add another one usually cut down your towing strength. This setup keeps the full Class V rating, supporting up to 17,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 1,700 lbs tongue weight, or up to 20,000 lbs GTW and 2,000 lbs TW when used with weight distribution.

Keep Your Camper Setup Strong: Pre-Drilled for TorkLift Camper Tie-Downs

This hitch is built with the truck camper crowd in mind. It comes pre-drilled to accept TorkLift camper tie-downs, making it easier to secure your slide-in camper without extra fabrication or guesswork. You can also add a SuperTruss hitch extension (sold separately) designed to clear your bed-mounted camper while keeping high towing capacity — maintaining up to a 10,000-lb limit even with a 60" extension in place when used with weight distribution.

Truck with bed-mounted camper using TorkLift SuperTruss hitch extension attached to a TorkLift SuperHitch, demonstrating clearance for towing a trailer.

Built to Last Through Every Haul: Heavy-Duty Steel and Reinforced Pin Holes

The SuperHitch Original uses sturdy steel with high-penetration, dual-shield welding for lasting strength and durability. Reinforced hitch pin holes prevent elongation over time, and the black powder coat finish helps resist corrosion. Safety chain loops are built right in, and two hitch pins and clips come included so you’re ready to hook up right out of the box.

Easy, Secure Mounting: Bolt-On Installation with No Welding Required

Installation is straightforward thanks to the bolt-on design—no welding needed. The hitch lines up cleanly with the frame using the included hardware. Once mounted, you’ve got a solid connection ready for towing or carrying gear without having to modify or compromise your truck’s structure.

Needed to upgrade after buying an 11.5 foot camper. This unit is extremely heavy duty and has the ability to utilize the super truss which we now need to tow. Product was exactly like website, arrived on schedule and had all parts. I installed by myself in about 4 hours. I spent as much time removing my spare tire and stock receiver as I did putting this one on. You need a quality drill with a good bit. Extra hands would be helpful. Instructions we decent not great. Quality piece of equipment.

Awesome hitch. Worth every penny if you’re hauling heavy loads with a pickup camper. We’ve been pulling our 22’ boat behind the pickup camper with a 48” super truss extension and the super hitch for a year now and it’s been working great.

I think the product is awesome. Well made, easy assembly and straight forward. It’s expensive and an investment, but it will last well after me. Anodized grade 8 hardware, paint, and fit and finish is at least what I expected, if not more for what I’m paying out of my hard earned paycheck.
The way all of the hardware bolts up and the alignment is 5.0. If I were to have a complaint, it would be that the clearance and or tolerance is to good. It’s a tight fit with hardly any play or slop. The paint gets scraped off when assembling the hitch and receiver together along with assembling my hitch and hardware. I’m having to use clamps and heavy mallets LOL!
This was installed on a 1990 Dodge W250 diesel

  • TorkLift Hitch, Extension, and Tie Downs for 1996 Ford F-350
Hey Josh! I can definitely help you get what you need. The hitch is the easy part, you'll need the TorkLift SuperHitch # TLF1000. This will fit your F-350 as long as you have the standard or step bumper. It is rated for 17,000 lbs so as long as your truck is able to tow it, the hitch can handle it. Then for the frame mounted tie-downs, if you have no running boards or cab length running boards you need the TorkLift Tie Downs # TL96DR. If you have wheel to wheel running boards use # TL37NR...

  • Front and Rear Tie-Downs for a 1996 Ford F-350 8 Bed and Running Boards Under Cab Only
There are 2 different options for your 1996 Ford F-350 8' Bed with running boards and they just depend on what kind of trailer hitch you have installed on your pickup. The correct front mount tie-downs are in the part # TLF2000. If you have the Torklift SuperHitch part # TLF1000 installed then the correct rear tie-downs are in the part # TLR3503. For any other aftermarket hitch (or none at all) then the correct rear tie-downs are in the part # TLR3501. These are compatible with the dual...

To start, if you don't already have a Torklift dual hitch like the # TLF1000 on your 1988 Ford F-350 you will need to install one. This will allow you to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers - 48" Long # TLE1548 to get enough clearance from your Lance camper to tow a horse trailer. The SuperTruss has a 600-lbs tongue weight/6000-lbs gross towing weight limit unless you were to use a weight distribution hitch, which would get you to 1,200-lbs/12,000-lbs...

  • Trailer Hitch Fit Options for 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty Pickup with 37 Inch Frame Width
I have attached a link that will show you the trailer hitches that will fit your 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty Pickup with a Standard or Step bumper. All of the hitches on the linked page are designed to fit the larger 37 inch frame. Our most popular trailer hitch option for your truck is the Curt Class V Receiver Hitch # C15300. This trailer hitch offers a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver and has a 16,000 pound towing capacity with a 2,400 pound tongue weight capacity. This hitch will require...

  • How to Determine Where to Drill to Install Torklift Hitch on 1997 Ford F-250
To install the Torklift hitch part # TLF1000 you will need to drill holes in the frame for all of the included bolts to fit through. Typically what people will do is position the hitch up where it needs to go and then either drill through the holes in the flange of the hitch bracket or mark where to drill and then drill after lowering the hitch as a template is not available.

This bad boy has capacities of 2,400 lbs tongue weight and 16,000 lbs total trailer weight. However this is a 2 inch hitch. This hitch is specifically designed to fit the larger 37-1/4 inch frames like you have. There will be some drilling required for installation. Check out the install video I attached. • Will The B&W Trailer Hitch BWHDRH25198 Work With Torklift Rear Camper Tie Downs
No, the B&W trailer hitch # BWHDRH25198 is not compatible with the Torklift camper tie downs. The rear tie downs are only compatible with the Torklift super hitch because it has a 3-1/2" square crosstube. The crosstube on the B&W hitch is more like 2-1/2". For a 1997 Ford F-250 and 350 we do have the Torklift super hitch # TLF1000. This will fit as long as you do not have the 10" deep drop bumper. This will go with the rear tie down # TLR3503. If your 1988 Ford F-350 is equipped with the standard factory or step bumper the TorkLift SuperHitch # TLF1000 is a confirmed fit and will work great, however it will require some drilling into the frame rails for installation. This is actually required for any aftermarket hitch on your F-350, so there isn't a better option in this regard. • When Should the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver Be Used on a 1987 Ford F-250
If you plan to be installing a truck bed camper and you want to tow a trailer then yes, the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver part # TLF1000 will absolutely be your best option. The reason for this is because it allows you to use a TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension like part # TLE1542 which will most likely be needed for clearance because of the truck bed camper. • Higher Capacity Trailer Hitch that Fits 1995 Ford F-250
We have higher capacity trailer hitches that fit your 1995 Ford F-250 like the Torklift part # TLF1000 but the hitch plate part # 3371809061A does require the truck frame to be 34 inches from outside to outside as that's the cab and chassis frame width range. • 24 inch Hitch Extender Recommendation for 1991 Dodge Ram D350
It's not safe to use more than one hitch extender at a time but I do have a solution for you. Since 24 inches is really long for a hitch extender you'd have to go with a Torklift style extender like the part # TLE1524 which will require you to install a Torklift double hitch on your 1991 Dodge Ram D350 like with the # TLF1000 and you'd be set. I realize this is a much more expensive route but it's the only way to pull off what you are looking for and be safe.
