Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Great hitch! Very heavy duty. The extended version I bought fits perfectly on my 2022 Bronco Sasquatch, which has the larger/wider spare tire. Only issue was having to cut off the "tab" plate to allow for mounting the FORD factory wiring harness assembly plate, which slides over and bolts through far left side of hitch frame, and has both 7 and 4 pin connectors. Other than that little hiccup, perfect!

2022 Ford Bronco

Very easy to order and the information supplied on the site were correct. The installation literally took minutes. I ordered this model because the hitch ends about where the tire is. The other model has the hitch receiver ending at the bumper. I don’t want to use an extender so I went this route. Looks great and I’m just hoping I don’t smack my shins on the receiver. Thanks to etrailer for making this easy!

The install looks great Rich! The spare tire clearance looks great! What are you going to carry back there? Bikes? Aw man, if I had a penny for every time one of my family members (including myself) has walked smack dab into the ball mount on my SUV, I would be rich. You want may invest in some shin guards.

Great hitch and the extended receiver work perfect with the new Bronco. The bike rack is now the perfect distance from the spare tire. Etrailer makes it so simple.

Some of the bolts were a little tight to get into position but very easy to install or that great my daughter loves it. She put her new bike rack on for her birthday.????????????

2025 Ford Bronco

Product seems well built and sturdy although it was a bit too big over the frame member it attached to. It was probably about an eighth too big so there was a lot of play. I had to really reef on the attachment bolts to pinch it to the frame. Looks like there should have been a spacer between the frame and the backside of the receiver bracket. Also, the metal bracket that was in the way (similar to the etrailer video) was a beast to remove. Wound up grinding the ends of the bolts off so they would clear the bumper. Not ideal when you are working under the bronco.

by:

Installed today took about 2.5 hours on my back I had to modify and relocate the factory wire harness bracket for the trailer wire harness tip saw your video and they said to bend the bracket if you remove 4 bumper mount bolts pull the bumper out of the way take a 2x4 block to hold the bumper out of the way take you can get the bolts in easier . Use wd40 on the 2 bracket bolts to ease removal

by:
2025 Ford Bronco

I was not impressed with the finish on the receiver. The paint on the back is bubbling and one of the welds are rusting.

by:
2024 Ford Bronco

Paint chipped during installation and installation QR code was expired. Besides that, item was as described.

Perfect!! Holding up my Moto carrier and Two Dirt bikes with ease! Thanks!!

by:
2025 Ford Bronco

Feels solid - time will tell if it holds up or not. Very easy installation - the longest part was removing the dummy bracket Ford had bolted on.

by:

Well, it’s still in the box, but the length of the receiver tube looks like it’s going to clear the spare tire. I’ll do a follow-up review once it’s installed and the bike rack is in place

by:
2024 Ford Bronco

The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is that it was just about @1/8 too wide for my 2024 Bronco frame. Easy fix was to just use 4 washers I had on hand to close the gap. Would have been nice if extra washers were included in the kit for similar concerns. I was just lucky to be retired mechanic and have numerous extra items laying around. Others might not be so lucky. Otherwise great product with rapid shipping.

by:

Easy to install on my Ford Bronco 2025, once I removed the metal factory cover.

by:

Perfect for Bronco; reciever extends back of spare tire making it convenient and secure for bike rack (no extender needed). Simply tilt down (1UP) bike rack to completely clear spare time & tailgate.

Still happy with this setup. Transporting bikes at least once a week. Easy.

2024 Ford Bronco

High quality and heavy. This hitch will last the life of the vehicle. I have two small complaints with the hitch itself. First, the section that wraps around my 2024 Bronco's bumper was about 1/8" too wide. An extra washer between the bumper and the hitch fixed that. Second, the powder coating was chipped off one corner. It's heavy, so I'm guessing it was dropped. Other complaints are with the Bronco, not the hitch. My 2024 Bronco came with the wiring harness installed at the factory, and it was hidden inside a thick metal bracket bolted to the bumper. To remove this bracket, the plastic bumper cover had to come off and the backup sensors had to be disconnected. It wasn't a huge pain, but Ford decided to hide the harness way too well.

by:

Not hard to install on my 2024 Bronco. Very secure, no worries with using my cargo rack. Looks good and will serve my purposes well.

by:
2023 Ford Bronco

Trailer Hitch exactly as described. Installation was a breeze. 20mn total installation time. Highly recommend!!

by:

There was an issue with the shipping address I provided, 100% my fault, and etrailer quickly reshipped it, for no additional cost. Thank you!!

by:

Efficient ordering. Out of the box, comes with hardware needed to install. Received looks and feels strong. Will install in a week or so for use with cargo carrier.

by:
2023 Ford Bronco

Straight forward to install in my '23 bronco. I think the bolts and nuts were 3/4". Helps to have a breaker bar to crank down on the torque wrench; 75 ftlbs is a lot! It's the right distance to stick out so my bike rack doesn't hit my spare tire. Happy with the purchase.

by:

Receiver is great! Sticks out enough so you don't need an extension to use your bike rack.

Still holding up perfectly. No rusting or paint chipping anywhere.

Really liked the extra length cleared the spare tire of our Bronco.

by:
2024 Ford Bronco

I bought this to hold a Kuat bike rack. It works well, and it clears the spare tire with no problems. I'm pleased with the end result, though the receiver does appear to pitch upward ever so slightly. But it's not enough to be a problem for me.
The installation was a lot more involved than the instructions suggested. Do yourself a favor, and just remove the rear bumper. It's six bolts and two wiring connectors and it pulls right off. This made installing and tightening the bolts MUCH easier, and in my case it was required because Ford factory installed some metal plate blocking the mounting holes and it could not be removed without taking the bumper off.

by:

The hitch is well made, looks good. The assembly should have been 5-10 minutes but the nuts would not spin freely by hand - had to use a wrench from the first thread (no I wasn’t cross-threading). Took me about 30 minutes due to having to turn a wrench a lot more in an uncomfortable/ confined area. Once installed though works well. This hitch is extended but I couldn’t find a dimension on the website- it’s 10” which is enough to get it roughly to the standard sized spare on a bronco. This is important for hitch mounted bike racks - and works well with my Küat rack (tho you still cannot fully open the rear door).

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2024 Ford Bronco
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT37GR is the same thing as the 76527 hitch you already have so If it didn't fit it's not going to work. Instead, I'd recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C76WR which we have listed as a fit for your 2024 Ford Bronco.

The T-One plugs in behind the tail lights of your Bronco and gives you the standard light functions while the ETBC7 comes with everything you need for a fully functional 7-Way. • Best Hitch Recommendation for 2025 Ford Bronco Big Bend for Bike Rack Rear Spare Clearance
Hey Gabriel, the best hitch solution for your 2025 Ford Bronco Big Bend would be the Draw Tite part # DT37GR as it has a hitch opening that sticks out further to allow for better clearance of the spare with a bike rack like you asked about. When we had the chance to install it on a similar Bronco Sport we found that it has 6 inches from the center of it's pin hole out to the rear spare edge which means nearly all bike racks would have enough clearance.

From the sound of your question, it sounds like you are wanting an option for both a 4-way and a 7-way to install into your 2021 Ford Bronco and do not currently have any wiring. For a plug-in 4-way harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK99VR. • How is Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Rated Higher Than OEM Hitch
Hey Travis! The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # DT37GR is engineered to be stronger than the OEM hitch you're referencing. However, that does not mean it increases the towing/tongue weight capacity of the vehicle. Many hitches are overengineered and exceed the capabilities of the tow vehicle. One way or another you are always limited by the lowest capacity. It actually looks like the 2024 Ford Bronco can tow up to 4,500 lbs when properly equipped so the capability of the hitch is...

Hi Stephen; the design and size of the Curt # C76WR really doesn't allow for a mounting point for the # HM40975. The only option to mount the bracket is on the bumper beam next to the hitch or on the plastic as seen in the picture below where another customer mounted a 4-way bracket.

Hey Dove, so you'll want a hitch mounted bike rack as the spare wheel racks when loaded should have have the rear doors opened as that puts a lot of stress on the hinges of the rear door. So with a hitch like the Draw Tite part # DT37GR you could use the Kuat Transfer part # KU84FR and then for each bike you wanted to expand you could use the part # KU57FR as this is a 2 bike rack that can be expanded out to 4.
