Installation on my 2015 Durango was a breeze! Looks great and works great! Using it currently for a bike rack for 2 e-bikes.
I have a mobile sharpening business and have an enclosed cargo trailer that I work out of. We just purchased a Dodge Durango and needed a hitch and wiring harness to pull the trailer. I have never installed a hitch or wiring harness before, but etrailer.com has the instructions posted so you can read them before making a purchase. It seemed easy enough, so I made my order.
The order shipped the next business day and arrived in two days!
Installing the hitch was a very simple process of removing 4 bolts, lifting the hitch into place, and reinstalling the 4 bolts. (Hint: If you’re installing on a Durango, or possibly other vehicles, lower the spare tire and get it out of the way. If you have big hands like me, it will be much easier to get to the bolts.)
This hitch tucks very nicely under the bumper. There is no worry about banging your shins on it! It looks good too.
If you are needing a hitch but are reluctant to try to install it yourself… don’t fret! etrailer.com has very clear instructions that are easy to understand.
I would highly recommend this to ANYONE needing a hitch and wants to save a few bucks by installing it yourself.

The ease of installation was the best part. Basically a plug and play application. Gives my Jeep a rugged aftermarket look I was looking for. I would recommend to everyone who needed a tow hitch to check out etrailer.com. The hitch came to me in about three days. Overall happy with this purchase.

So far, the hitch meets expectations. I have not used it for hauling a trailer, but I don't see how it couldn't perform that function. I am waiting to install the wiring harness until this weekend. We would only use this hitch for small trailers. This was installed on a 2022 Dodge Durango GT Plus.
I chose to buy this model because it was promoted as being built in the USA. I saw sub $100 versions available on Amazon, but I didn't want to roll the dice on Chinese quality. The purchase/checkout process was efficient and easy. Shipping was quick and the hitch was packaged adequately in a large box. No damage to the finish was noted from shipping and handling. The minor scuffs noted were probably there from the manufacturing process.
INSTALLATION: the process is not difficult, but there was a major difference on our vehicle that was not addressed in the included instructions or the online video. There is a large, semi-circular plastic shield to protect the spare. This shield MUST be addressed so that you do not have a layer of plastic between the metal parts of the hitch and frame rail. Eventually the plastic will crack and fall out, leaving the bolts loose. All you need is a 10mm deep well socket to remove the nuts and you will then have enough room to slip the sides of the hitch *behind* the plastic. Once the bolts are torqued in place (I also used Red Loctite and reduced the torque by 4 lb-ft for wet threads) the plastic cover can be forced in enough to reinstall the nuts.
Really easy install. You don’t need anything fancy to complete it. I did it by myself in the driveway and just used the box to lie down on. The hardest part is torquing the bolts correctly. Either I need a new torque wrench or I need to workout more. I couldn’t get the wrench to “click”. I’m just planning to use it for a bike rack for now, I’ll recheck the torque if I try to tow anything more than that.
Usually no luck with anything online but this was shipped fast and was a simple bolt up to existing bolts. Like 20 min job. Super impressive

Super easy install on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Took me, by myself 8 minutes with a Milwaukee Impact gun to have it fully installed and ready to use. Great quality. Would recommend.
Great aftermarket solution. Online order process, including confirmation of fit for my Grand Cherokee, was easy. Delivery was timely. And installation in my garage with one torque wrench was quick. Finish and construction are durable. Essentially no maintenance required. Definitely recommend.
It was a direct fit. A little trimming from some over sealant jobs from vehicle manufacturing but no big deal. Would have been nice for a good spot to secure the 4-way plug but I just secure it behind bumper when not in use.

You can install a mounting bracket for the trailer connector very easily. You'll need the # 18140 no-drill bracket attached to the hitch crossbar along with the # 18144 bracket which works on Tekonsha, Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Tow Ready and Valley 4 pole flat trailer connectors.
Easy to install and looks amazing. If you have a rear tow hook, you will need to remove that in order to mount the receiver.
My etrailer hitch receiver fit perfectly in my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Selecting the proper size for my vehicle was so easy, simply by selecting the year, the maker, and model...and voala' I was in front of all the hitch receivers that fit my vehicle. Price and quality are fair. Shipping was "free" and fast, just a few days (less than a week), and the package was robust to avoid cosmetic damage. The instructions and the installation video made it easy for me. I like how it looks on my vehicle. For sure, I will get another receiver for my Jeep Compass. I greatly recommend looking first in eTrailer before looking for other options.

We bought a hitch for our 2022 jeep grand Cherokee. When the hitch arrived on time. It took about 15 minutes to install. It fit perfectly.

My trailer hitch receiver arrived, I unboxed it, it looked small so I was kind of leery that it wouldn't fit as stated, but I was WRONG! I don't want to steal the line from O.J. Simpson, but the hitch "fit like a glove!" LoL The next project will be tackling the wiring. With the help of etrailer's installation video...the exact match of my vehicle, I'm sure it'll be fine!

Trailer hitch looking great, finish holding up well, I have checked bolts just to make sure, they are good.
We have used this on our 2015 Durango for the last year and have had no issues using a trailer. Using trailer vs. adding a hitch saved us so much money and it was really easy to install. Highly recommend.

It’s excellent! Easy install. Have not used yet to tow a trailer but believe I will have no problems in doing so. Have only used for a cargo rack when going camping and it was great! Love the matte finish and the addition to my jeep grand Cherokee
I received the hitch when I was promised. The installation was as simple as the video showed it to be! My only concern with the whole experience was was wether or not the bolts I needed to remove would come out because they were rusty!!..

It’s been closer to two years since I installed it on my 2015 Durango and it still looks great and functioning like new. Very happy with it
