Rapid delivery, EZ install.
The videos
are a great help when it comes to installation.
You MAY be able to find the hitch at a lower price elsewhere, but i think it is worth it to purchase from etrailer because of their support, video tutorials, and GREAT customer service. My install went a little different from the video, i had less to remove under the vehicle than what the video showed (plastic cover is smaller on mine). Every year manufacturers change things up, so that's to be expected.

2020 Chrysler 300

You should know...This hitch sits under the bumper about 7 1/2-8 inches deep from outside of bumper to the pin hole. I have a 2020 Chrysler 300S and I cannot mount the Thule Helium platform that I own without using the shortest 7" extension which now sticks out too far and it cuts the rating in half. It installed fine and seems well built but check your dimensions before you buy.
There is no where on here or Curts site that gives you that dimension which now makes it completely useless for me.
I was in touch with CS and even called Curt and they were only allowed to give me the overall measurement, not even the measurements to the mounting holes. I wish someone had posted something like this. Not happy.

by:

Everything was going great until I had to rehang the rear exhaust isolators, the isolator brackets I had to modify, finally got it, that was the biggest problem.
The mufflers and tips hang a little lower now, about 3/8 of an inch.

2015 Dodge Challenger

Good quality hitch. Shipped and received fast. Installation was straight forward and no issues. Installed while I was putting in new exhaust so the space was there. The only issue is that a wiring harness for my vehicle (2015 Challenger R/T) is not available yet. Installed this hitch mainly for my bike rack but I think I will need an extender due to how far back the receiver sits.

Eric T.

2/17/2016

Jim, Just curious, did you end up needing a extension to fit the bike rack on your car?, I plan on using it for a bike rack as well, same 2015 Challenger. Thanks, Eric

Jim

2/19/2016

Eric. Yes I used an extension piece I picked up from harbor Freight. I was very worried about scratching the paint and I carry heavy bicycles. The hitch sets back and would be fine for pulling a light trailer but my bike rack sits high so I wanted it away from the trunk. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response Jim. Please do be aware that using a hitch extension will decrease the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by at lease fifty percent due to the extension of the weight of the bike rack.

2018 DodgeCharger

2018 Dodge Charger R/T.... The 2" version, would be better based on the mounting diagrams. That one mounts with 4 bolts instead of 6. The rear most bolts interfere with the exhaust hangers on this version. Unfortunately, as the last step in the instructions I thought I was almost done..... I ended up removing the rear bolts so the exhaust hangers could reattach. All I plan on using it for is bike racks and bikes. I figure if 4 is good enough for the 2inch version it should be ok with he 1-1/4 version. But buyers with v8 models beware!!!!

Thanks for your product review. I understand your frustrations but I urge you to install the hitch as described in the installation instructions, and to use all 6 attachment points. Otherwise the hitch does not perform to the spefications that is was tested for. We do have fit notes in our fit guide info that indicates the drivers side muffler must be removed and reattached for a complete install. Also Curt also indicates in their instructions that a stabilization support strap must be used for all not trailer wheel-less loads and that is available as part 18050.

When I fist needed trailer stuff I would search the internet looking for the best deal. Now I go straight to etrailer and order. Best prices, quality products, free shipping and lighting fast delivery! I have 3 boat trailers, ( 3 different size balls)1 cargo trailer and a bike rack. I tow with a high hitch on my Ford Superduty and a normal height hitch on my suv. I have a lot on trailer "stuff"

Very happy! When I first bought the receiver, I wasn't sure I'd be able to do the work myself, so it sat in my garage for a few weeks. Once I built up the confidence, I found that the installation was simple enough. The only problem I had was figuring out how to get the driver's side exhaust out from the chrome trim that is built into the rear bumper. I wish the instructional video had discussed that in more detail. Once that was trim part was out, everything went really smoothly. The receiver blends into my car quite well, so it looks good too. My only words of warning are that if this is your first time doing a receiver install, give yourself the entire day to work on it. It took me about six hours start to finish.

I buy all my hitches and hitch mounts from etrailer. I will install my hitch on my new 2020 Challenger. The last one was on my 2020 Jeep and 2019 Challenger. I get a better price from etrailer than other retailer which never have the one I want in stock. So I order it my self and I install it my self. Its very easy to install in an hour. Great products. I will use it to haul my Harley and Harley trailer. I especially like the Eurpo receiver I bought from etrailer too. Makes my car look nice and its very low key and profile for the Dodge Challenger.

2011 Dodge Challenger

Shipping arrived within a couple of days...very fast. 2011 Dodge Challenger tow hitch arrived with hitch protruding thru the box it was shipped in. Fortunately there was no damage except scratches on the tow bar and unbelievably no nuts/bolts were lost. Tow bar was easily installed and is great, functionally. The bad is it hangs down a little more than it should so there for I'm not sure you could really call it a hidden hitch. I purchased the smaller (1-1/4") of the 2 tow bars available so I can only imagine the larger size would hang down a little farther. All in all the hitch fits fairly well and if you have a need for a tow hitch on your Dodge Challenger then it is a reasonable product. Hitch was easily installed on a 2011 SRT to pull a small wave runner trailer. You don't need a lift but will need a floor jack and jack stands to safely do this job.

As always, the E-Trailer folks came through with the right product, right price, and super fast delivery. I believe this is the sixth or seventh hitch I've bought from E-Trailer, maybe more over the years. There has never been so much as a hiccup in the order and/or delivery processes. They carry Curt products. For my money they are the best products on the market. Several times I have spoken with the Curt engineering and product-testing folks to answer tough questions about fit etc. on an exotic car, before I actually ordered the hitch and wiring from E-Trailer. They're terrific Just like the E-Trailer staff. They all make a very trust worth team that instill the highest confidence in their individual and collective products. Five stars all the way.

2011 Chrysler 300

From the time of order until delivery, your company was efficient and knowledgeable. The product is sturdy. It leaves a little to be desired on the bulkiness (in the way it hangs under the car, and clearence between hitch and road) I wish the designers could come up with something that was a little closer to the bumper and not the road. All in all, extremely satisfied with product and price.

Chrysler 300 ltd

I had a profesonal installer Install my "KURT" hitch because I didn't care to mess with the exhaust system on my NEW Chrysler 300ltd. The total time to install the hitch and wiring was 2.5 hr. The wiring instructions showed the connecter routed out the trunk lid. My installer routed the cable out of the spare tire well and attaching it to the hitch and sealing the hole with RTD sealant. VERY PROFFESSONAL---- :)everything looks great.

Perfect for a bike rack on an AWD Challenger GT. The other Challengers are slightly lower clearance so keep that in mind. In my travels it has scraped maybe once. Been keeping my bike attached for several thousand miles without a worry.

After reviewing the parts and the instructions, I feel it is better for a professional to install. Just not comfortable with the prospect of taking apart the exhaust system of a perfectly good car.

Excellent instructions and helpful bolt guide wires for installation.

2014 DodgeCharger

Fits perfect. Only thing is don't go by hitch rating go by rating of your vehicle. my V6 charger was only rated at 1000lb. the install video helped my very much.

by:

Great hitch. Installation wasn't difficult at all. In order to install the passenger side of the hitch you MUST have a u-joint or you'll have to push the muffler way out of the way to reach the bolts.

by:

great product! Very easy to install.....

  • Fit of Curt #12064 on Challenger SXT V6 2015
I spoke with my Curt representative about the fit of their # C12064 Class II hitch on a 2015 Dodge Challenger. Although they don't have any photos available (we don't either), I was told that although there were cosmetic changes made to the rear of the 2015 Challenger, the fit itself hasn't changed. The hitch will fit without needing to alter the rear bumper fascia.

Center to center on the two mounting holes closest to the rear of the vehicle is 42.25”. Center to center on the pair of mounting holes towards the front of the vehicle is 40.94”. Although...

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12064 is currently the only receiver we have confirmed to fit the SRT Demon for your 2018 Dodge Challenger.
