High quality trailer hitch receiver. Precise holes and perfect fit. Product is rock solid. First time to buy from Etrailer and I am a very satisfied customer. Item was shipped promptly and arrived as scheduled. Customer support responded to my inquiries. Etrailer stood by their lowest price and price match guarantee. Thank you very much Etrailer!

The hitch came a little bent, but that was as a result of poor handling by shipping company. I was able to follow your instructions and make it work. I am very pleased that you had this hitch in stock given that my vehicle is somewhat rare. Initially, I ordered this hitch from a popular moving company and after more than 39 days and countless hours on the phone, they confirmed that they did not have the hitch in stock. Very frustrating. You guys rock!

Fast delivery, good installation instructions, and great product in general. I ordered a motorcycle carrier right after seeing how fast this hitch was shipped - great retailer.

Hitch and harness fit great as directions indicated
Most difficult was removing Mitsubishi factory bolts. One was is a very tight place so took a while to wrench all the way off

by:

The hitch was an exact match. Installation was simple. Hitch has worked flawlessly.

  • Recommended Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero
Hey Rene, thanks for the information. To add a hitch to your 2002 Mitsubishi Montero, you'll want the Curt item # C13800. This is a class III, custom fit hitch with a 2" receiver, that includes all necessary hardware to bolt onto your Montero. It will not fit the Sport models and I do not have an option for a hitch that does. For a wiring harness, I recommend the Curt T-Connector item # C55380. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Mitsubishi's wiring harness, which is located behind...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero
Yes, we do ship to Canada but the quoted shipping costs does not include all brokerage fees and duties. The correct hitch we have for your 2003 Mitsubishi Montero excluding Sport that I recommend for a boat trailer is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13800 which has a Class III rating with a 2" receiver tube opening. There will be no drilling required and the hitch has a black powder coat so you should not have any issues with rust while launching into salt water. Unfortunately,...

  • Trailer Hitch for 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Limited
We do indeed offer Class III receiver hitches for the 2001 Mitsubishi Montero and Montero Sport (two distinctly different vehicles). For the 2001 Montero, use the Curt Class # C13800 III hitch. If you'll be towing with the hitch you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # C55380 a ball mount like # C45010 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch trailer ball. For the 2001 Montero Sport, you'd use the Curt Class III, part # 13223. For trailer wiring, use # 119178KIT and the...

  • Is The Curt C13800 Hitch For A 2001 Mitsubishi Montero A No-Drill Install?
Hello Anibal. I think I might have misunderstood your previous question. The Curt Class 3 Hitch # C13800 is indeed a no-drill installation. There should be 3 holes in the driver side frame rail and two holes on the passenger side. All 5 holes should have a factory installed weldnut inside. I have included a diagram below that shows the location of each hole. It sounds like the factory weldnuts are not there though. If the factory weldnuts are no longer present you can either pay to have...

  • How Do I Install The C13800 Coupler If The Tongue Only Has One Hole
Hello Anibal. The Trailer Coupler # C13800 does require 2 bolts for mounting to the tongue. If your trailer only has 1 bolt hole, a second hole will need to be drilled. The mounting holes need to be 3" apart on center. I am not sure how the original coupler was only installed with 1 bolt, but you will definitely need to add a second hole. For hardware I recommend you use the Curt Channel-Mount Coupler Hardware Kit # C25388.
