Extensive Testing
InfiniteRule products undergo extensive third-party testing to determine shear strength. The shear strength is determined by placing the hitch lock in a stress position and subjecting it to increasing force until a required proof load (maximum force received without deformity) is met or the pin fails. These locks have a shear strength of 42,000 lbs.
Installation
The 3 hitch locks included with this set are interchangeable. Use one lock as a hitch lock to secure your Gen-Y 21K adjustable ball mount to your 3" hitch. A second lock is used to secure your ball mount platform to the ball mount, and the remaining lock is used to secure your pintle hook or other accessory to your ball mount platform.
This lock set also allows you to secure your Gen-Y ball mount and Auto Latch gooseneck coupler lock with the same key. Use one lock to secure the ball mount to your hitch and the other lock to secure the coupler lock to your trailer coupler.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at the InfiniteRule 5/8-inch diameter stainless steel hitch locks for your Gen-Y 21,000-pound adjustable ball mount that fits a three-inch hitch receiver. And this is for a quantity of three locks. Now these are a durable stainless steel lock. They'll replace the standard pins for your Gen-Y 21,000-pound adjustable ball mount. And if you don't know what we're talking about, we do sell that adjustable ball mount separately on a website.
I did want to pop up an insert just to show you that's what that ball mount looks like. Basically you can see it comes with the two pins for the pin-to-lock accessory and the hitch ball platform. And then you'll see the hole in the back that it accepts a hitch pin to hook it to your receiver. So these three locks will cover those areas. Basically, they are interchangeable.
They are keyed alike, so you can use one key for all three of the locks. And as we mentioned, basically you can use one lock to secure the ball mount to your three-inch trailer hitch, use the second lock to secure the ball mount platform to the ball mount, and then use the additional lock to secure that pin-to-lock accessory to your ball mount platform. Now this will also fit the Gen-Y auto lock gooseneck coupler, which we sell separately. Goes by a part number 325-GH-7111. Now, the shear strength on these locks are 42,000 pounds.
We mentioned the diameter is 5/8 of an inch. The dimension overall length from one end to the other is six and 1/4 inches. And the important measurement is the inside length of the span they'll fit. And the span is measured from the edge of the hitch head here to the edge right here. So if we put a ruler on that, you can see that that inside lane is going to be right at three and 5/8 inches for your span.
Now, these are a durable stainless steel construction, will prevent rusting. They do go through rigorous testing to ensure that the hitch lock can handle extreme towing and off-road activity. This one, if you notice, I've taken apart already just to show you. It has the O-ring right here on the inside that'll protect the internal components from dirt and grind. Has this nice weather resistant tethered dust cap that installs and keeps water debris out of your keyway. And one thing I do want to mention is when I'm going to show you how this all attaches together, but if you'll look at the key lock, you'll notice there's four marks on it, one at 12 o'clock, three o'clock, six o'clock, and nine o'clock. Those four marks are where you can pull the key out. So basically when you go to install this, you'll slide this through your hole, put your hitch head on there, turn it until it clicks. That means it's lined up. Take your key, insert it, and then just start turning it like you're tightening down a bolt, and just keep turning it until it tightens up. And once it gets tight, just snug it, and then when it comes into play now is those four markings. So the key will only come out when it lines up to one of the marks. Right now, it won't come out because it's not lined up. So tighten it and then just turn it to the closest mark right there, and the key slides out. Simple as that. Put your cap on and you're all locked, ready to go. Now, the three keys are included as we mentioned, and they are key to like so one key will work on all three. These parts are made in the USA. Now also, if you do have any other additional questions regarding this part or any other item that we carry, please feel free to contact us so that we can help you get your questions answered for you. But that's going to do it for a look at the InfiniteRule 5/8-inch diameter stainless steel hitch locks for the Gen-Y 21,000-pound adjustable ball mount on a three-inch hitch receiver for a quantity of three locks.
