The hitch is not as long as it seems in the picture. When installed it extends about 8” from the face of receiver to center of ball. I was hoping for something that was about 10-12” away from receiver. The pin hole is 4.5” from rear. Quality and finish are excellent, the drop is built with 1” plate and the ball hole is 1 1/4”.

I am pleased with my purchase and Teresa at etrailer. I purchased the wrong hitch and had to reorder. I did not allow enough drop and it was my fault. I will keep the other one for different applications. Submitting photos of both.

by:

Good solid tow bar, durable finish, works well with the A-90 hitch ball. Purchased because I did not like the additional slop associated with using the 2.5" to 2" adapter. Using the 2.5" tow bar in the 2.5" receiver makes for a much more solid feel when towing.

Received ball mount and was just what I needed.

no problems...works as expected

by:

All products are of excellent quality and fit as expected. Hally my sales representative was an excellent help as some items were not going to be ready to ship when I expected and she helped substitute with items of the equal need so I had all my items sooner. The best part was she contacted me concerning the longer ship where most other places would require the buyer to stay on top of the order and contact the seller for any changes.

This thing is a beast, I purchased this invert because I have a Rock Tamer mud flap system and wanted the space this insert offers. Etrailer is the best, great web site and quick shipping.

by:

I am very pleased with this massive (heavy) hitch tube and the tight fit into my F250 Super Duty receiver. I recommend using a light lubricant to make insertion easier.

by:

The product was exacting what I needed. The video explaining the measurements for the 5inch drop was very helpful.
This is my second order from etrailers, I will use them again for all my trailering needs.

by:

Just what I needed. The extra reach allows me to work out of my truck with trailer still connected. Super heavy duty. Thanks.

by:

receiver very well. well pleased!

by:

  • Availability of an Adapter to Use the Titan Hitch Extender # RP45292 with a 2 Inch Hitch
I cannot recommend either of the situations that you mentioned for safety reasons. If you were to make a reducer for the Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2 inch Trailer Hitches, 24-34 inches, item # RP45292, it would lower the weight carrying capacity of the hitch and the extension and could cause an unsafe towing condition. A solid steel bar while it seems very sturdy would most likely have less weight carrying capacity than a square tube extension like the Titan extension. The best...

  • Why Wont etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit Fit Ford Factory 2-1/2 Inch Hitch Receiver
The reason the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kits for 2-1/2" Hitches - 3-1/2" Rise or 5" Drop # EBMK25518 (as well as 1-1/2" Rise or 3" Drop # EBMK25318) will not fit the factory 2-1/2" hitch receiver on your 2018 Ford F-350 is that those receivers have edges which are a bit rounder than standard hitch receivers and this ball mount has square edges. I recommend checking out the Titan Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Receivers # 45123 which has a 5" drop and from the accompanying photo you can see how the...

  • How To Measure What Drop Is Need For A Lifted 2022 Ford F-350
In order to determine what ball mount you will need to tow your trailer levelly, you will need to measure the rise and drop. To measure the rise and drop you need, you will just need to measure from the ground to the top of the receiver opening, and then from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. Once you have these measurements, you will need to subtract the receiver height from the coupler height and that'll give you the drop you need. For example, if your receiver height measurement...

  • Does the Titan Ball Mount # 45123 Have the Same Weight Capacity when Used in the Rise Position
The Titan Ball Mount you referenced, part # 45123 can certainly be used in the rise position. The ball mount has a 3-1/2 inch rise, and has the same 12000 lb towing/ 1200 lb tongue weight capacity when used in the rise position. This ball mount requires a trailer ball with a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank like the # A-90 2 inch ball or the # 63836 2-5/16 inch ball. This ball mount is not compatible with the Ford Super Duty OEM 2-1/2 inch receiver.

  • Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2013 Ford F-350 with Factory 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch
The OEM Ford 2-1/2 inch receiver has more rounded edges. Many 2-1/2 inch accessories, in this case ball mounts, have more squared off corners. This difference causes the squared off accessories not to fit. In some cases, some of the powder coating can be removed from the shank on the accessory as long as none of the metal is ground off. That could work on a ball mount like # 45123 since it has more rounded corners than something like # RP45323. If you use an accessory that has more rounded...

  • What Size Wrench Do I Need For Ball Mount Bolts
I can help you with this process. In addition to the wrench, you will need a torque wrench. Many of these ball mounts will have fairly high torque specs. If you have a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" shank, you will need a 1-7/8" wrench and a socket like the 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket - 3/4" Drive - Chromium-Vanadium Steel, part # ALL643216. If you have a hitch ball with a 1" shank, you will need a 1-1/2" wrench and a socket like the 1-1/2" 12pt Socket - 3/4" Drive - Chromium-Vanadium Steel,...

  • Will the Lets Go Aero Trailer Hitch Anti-Rattle Pin be Compatible with Ball Mount Towing a Trailer
The Lets Go Aero Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Lock, # SHP2040-XL, can only work if your ball mount is hollow and opened at the end that fits into the receiver hitch. If you ball mount has an opening then this pin will work well. However, if you have a solid ball mount shank, then the best option would be to replace the reducer adapter with a ball mount that will fit a 2-1/2 inch receiver opening. The Reese Titan Ball Mount, # 45123, will fit a 2-1/2 inch receiver. This ball mount has a 3-1/2...
