If you like keeping things neat when you’re not towing, this setup fits the bill. The tabless design leaves no obtrusive crossbar or brackets showing, giving your front end a clean, factory look. Since the tabs stay on your tow bar instead of the bumper, there’s nothing sticking out when you’re driving around town. Snap-in high-density polyethylene covers keep dirt and debris out of the receivers so the arms slide in and out smoothly when it’s time to tow again.
Connecting and disconnecting is simple thanks to the twist-lock attachment. Each arm inserts into the receiver, twists to lock, and secures with an included pull pin for extra peace of mind. When it’s time to unhook, tug the pin, twist, and pull the arm free—no tools or wrestling required. The setup feels solid and secure every time you connect for a trip.

This base plate kit bolts directly to the chassis with no welding needed. Its sturdy, dependable steel construction spreads towing forces evenly to help reduce stress on your suspension. It’s built to handle miles of towing without giving you trouble on the road.
No need to replace gear you already own. This base plate works with all Demco, etrailer, Blue Ox, Demco Kwik-Tow, and Curt Rambler tow bars—no adapter required. If you use a Roadmaster tow bar, just add one of the matching Demco adapters (DM9523036, DM9523062, DM9523014, or DM9523023, sold separately). The included electrical bracket gives you a spot to mount a round connector plug so your wiring setup stays clean and easy to reach.
You won’t need special tools or welding gear for this install. The kit bolts securely to your vehicle’s chassis using the provided hardware and clear instructions. With a little patience and some basic tools, it’s a straightforward project that leaves you ready to hit the road confidently once it’s done.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Demco tabless base plate kit with removable arms. Now this has been designed to fit your 2025 to current Ford Ranger and on custom fit parts such as this base plate, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here with etrailer. Pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, this base plate is going to mount directly to existing attachment points on the frame of your Ranger without requiring any major modifications.
But once this is installed, it's going to give you strong, reliable connection points that are going to allow you to safely flat tow your truck behind your motor home. The tabless design is going to keep your front end looking clean with no protruding brackets, and I just kind of wanted to give you an example of what this is going to look like on the front of your truck there with that image. Of course, you can see that the arms have been removed already, which we'll talk about in the next minute or so, but that's gonna be what to expect after you have this installed on the front of your Ranger. Taking a closeup look here, connecting your tow bar is gonna be quick and simple thanks to these twist lock attachment arms. These are gonna slide into the receivers and secure with the pull pin, as you can see here.
So hookup and removals is gonna be fast and hassle free. And to remove these arms, I'm just going to remove our pin here, give that a twist, and then that's going to allow me to remove the arm, just like that. And then a nice added bonus is these snap-on covers are included. So I'm just gonna pop this in here to that receiver and that's gonna be perfect to not only give this a cleaner look, but that's gonna help keep dirt, moisture, and road debris out of the receivers to help prevent corrosion and keep everything operating smoothly. And then when you're ready to flat tow, you're gonna take your arm, slide it in, give it a twist, replace the pin and clip here, then you'll be good to go, just like that.
Now the distance between our brackets is about 31 and 3/8ths inches. The bracket height is about 15 inches, and this base plate is constructed from durable steel. It's engineered to distribute towing forces evenly across the vehicle's chassis for long-term strength and dependability. And as you can see, I do have this kind of loosely put together here, just again, to kind of give you an idea of what this is going to look like installed underneath your truck at the front. Now compatibility is gonna be another major advantage.
This is gonna work directly with all Demco, etrailer Blue Ox, Demco Quick Tow, and Curt Rambler tow bars, all without requiring any adapters. However, if you already own a Roadmaster tow bar, you can still use it by adding the appropriate Demco adapter. And we do have those adapters listed by model number on this product page if you're interested in taking a look at those. This kit includes everything that you see here. You're gonna get these safety cables here. You're going to get this electrical connector mounting kit or bracket rather, that's going to give you a convenient place to install a round wiring socket. And so everything that you see here is included. And if you think you might need help with installation, we do have you covered in that regard as well. On this product page, typically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to install this on your Ranger for you. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

The Demco base plate for our 2025 Jeep Gladiator is still the best choice out there. It required no drilling or cutting and is easily swapped out as we lease our Jeep and need to put it on the next Jeep every year. Also very easy to hook up and very robust construction.

Just as long as you torqued them down to spec, you will be just find Pete. Where did you go for the first trip?

Hey Richard, great feedback on the heavy duty mount I can send that along to Demco. Sounds like you have been to some awesome places between all those miles. Is there a place you would consider a must go to that you have traveled to?

1.5 years later, 15k miles later, zero issues with baseplate, still estatic about the maverick as a toad

I installed this base plate on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler a year ago. We just came off our second trip in that year and we have driven over 13,000 miles. This base plate is a beast and has performed fantastically with no problems or errors. Typical hook up time for my Jeep from start to finish is less than 5 minutes and this includes installing my RVI Break 3 system. I can not stress any harder that this base plate is, in my opinion, the best you can buy.

Still pleased with this baseplate. Weve towed the Wrangler 10,000 miles with this setup and never had a problem.
