Video Transcript for Air Lift Air Hose Cutter Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Air Lift tubing cutter, part number AL10530. Our tubing cutter is designed to cut the air lines for tubing from a 1/4 inch up to 1/2 inch in size. Our tubing cutter will allow us to get a clean square cut on the line without crimping or distorting it. As you can see the razor blade portion of our cutter is about 7/8 of an inch wide, this gives us up to and just a little over 1/2 of cutting surface making it easy to cut the 1/4 inch air line making sure we get a clean square cut on the line. Unlike the previous cut, not only is it not straight or square to the line, but it also crimped it, distorting it. By using the tubing cutter it allows us to get a clean square cut on the line without distorting it.

While it's perfect for that 1/4 inch air line, it'll also work up to a 1/2 inch hose. A little more effort it'll cut right right through it. This is getting a 5 star rating from our customers who agree that it works perfectly and is simple to use. That'll do it for our review of the Air Lift tubing cutter, part number AL10530.

  • Recommended Rear Axle Suspension Kit for 2018 Ford F-150 4WD Short Bed
  • The best choice of rear axle suspension kit for your 2018 F-150 will depend on the type of towing or hauling you're doing. All rear-axle kits for your 4WD F-150 appear on the linked page. If you are routinely hauling cargo loads of widely varying weight then an adjustable air bag setup will give you the ability to match the bag air pressure to suit each different load. If you are towing a 5th wheel then you can get good results from a lower-cost jounce spring kit from Timbren that will...

  • Troubleshooting Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 elbow leaking at swivel
  • It is not uncommon to have a leak at the swivel fitting on your Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Springs # AL57338. It usually has to do with the hose not being cut cleanly. I've attached the portion of the installation instructions that deals directly with fixing this leak. My recommendation is to use the Air Lift Air Hose Cutter # AL10530 to ensure a clean cut on the hose. If you need to remove the fitting to reseal it, I recommend the Loctite Thread Sealant 545 # LT37482.

  • Troubleshooting Firestone Air Suspension System With Leaking at Tee Fitting
  • For your Air Spring Union Tee like # F3025-1 the only troubleshooting you can do is what you have already been doing. The Tee fittings simply use a compression so pushing into place is all that is required. The clean 90 degree cut is also all that is needed on the tubing. Then you use soapy water to check for leaks. The one thing that can be an issue is if the hosing is overly compressed when cutting like using a scissors for example. That is why the manufacturers make the tubing...

  • Will the Air Lift LoadLifter 5,000 Air Helper Springs Fit on a 2017 Ram 2500 with Bilstein Shocks
  • My contact at Air Lift said that you will have no problem installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Springs # AL57289 on the rear axle of your 2017 Ram 2500 with the off road package with Bilstein Shocks. Please note that a compression system is the best way to help you inflate and manage your air bags. I recommend using the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL72000. This system will allow you to monitor your Air Lift system while inside your truck using the...

  • The Air Lift LoadLifter # AL88398 will fit your 2006 Ford F250. If the lift is a body lift, you would simply install the kit according to the linked instructions. If your truck has a suspension lift, you'd need to use a spacer kit, which installs between the air bag and the mounting bracket. For extra convenience, you might consider a compressor kit like part # AL25592, which will allow you to add or remove air from the springs without exiting the truck or having to find a gas station...

  • The install for the two kits you mentioned part # AL60818HD and # AL60818 is the exact same. The only difference between the two kits is the capacity of the bags. The HD kit has a capacity of up to 2,100 lbs and the other up to 1,000 lbs. The install would be the exact same as the install video you mentioned which I attached to this page as well.

Installing the compressor in that location will also negate the warranty coverage. • Suspension Enhancement Recommendations for 2012 Toyota Sienna

They will make the springs harder to compress, but will not provide additional ground clearance. This is a passive system, that will allow no adjustment. The folks at SumoSprings do not recommend using more than one set of springs per axle, as additional springs would make for a harsh ride. In your situation, even though the idea of having air lines does not...

  • Installing AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60816 On 2012 Chevy Traverse
  • I have linked you to the full installation instructions for the AirLift # AL60816. The factory bump stops you referred to are cut off, to provide room for the air spring. The hole in the upper spring seat is enlarged in order to allow the hose to pass through. This is addressed on page 4 and 5 of the instructions. When installing the air bags, it is absolutely crucial that the air lines are cut perfectly square otherwise they'll leak. We recommend using a tubing cutter like part # AL10530.

  • Jounce Bumper Spring versus Air Springs on a lifted 2008 Ford F-250
  • For your 2008 Ford F-250, I can help you with enhancing your factory suspension. You are correct in saying that the air bags have more flexibility, but do require more maintenance than the jounce spring systems which are maintenance free. Either option will work with your lifted truck, but if you are primarily concerned about suspension support when towing your 5th wheel, then the jounce replacement springs are an excellent low cost option. For your needs, I'd suggest the Timbren Rear...

  • I would not say that installation of the Coil-Rite springs # F4101 is all that difficult. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. Routing the air lines might be the most time-consuming part of the installation. These need to be cut off as close as possible to the brackets (on top of the leaf springs). • How to Find a Leak with a Firestone Air Compressor System
  • The issue with your air compressor kicking on each time you start the vehicle is an indication that you have a leak. The easiest way to find an air leak on your system would be to inflate the system to about 60 psi then take a bottle with a mixture of soap and water to spray down all the lines, fittings, and airbags. The air bubbles should expand once a leak is detected. If the air leak occurred at the top of the fitting then chances are the line is not seated properly or cut correctly....

You would still have the internal jounce bumper as a fail-safe to absorb some bumps and shocks, although the adjustable leveling ability of air bags would be gone until you could repair the fault.
