Features to know about

Climbing Through Deep Snow and Ice: Diamond Pattern Keeps You Moving

These Konig chains bite hard when the road turns white. The diamond pattern spreads traction evenly across the tire, so you keep grip through snow and light ice instead of sliding or hopping. The square links dig in deep for control on grades and turns, while the pattern gives you a smoother ride than standard ladder-style chains.

Don’t Waste Time in the Cold: Assisted Tensioning Tightens Fast

When it’s freezing and your hands are numb, you don’t want to fumble with extra tools. These chains use an assisted tensioning system built right in—just tug to get a snug fit and go. The color-coded hooks and clips make it simple to connect everything quickly, even in low light. No loose parts means no hunting around in the snow.

Protect Your Wheels While You Drive: Nylon Bumpers Shield the Rim

Winter traction shouldn’t come at the cost of your wheels. Konig’s Wheel-Shield Level 2 system uses nylon bumpers and powder-coated side chains to guard against scratches and scuffs that can happen when metal meets aluminum rims. It’s peace of mind for anyone who cares about keeping their wheels looking sharp after a long winter.

Built to Handle Harsh Winter Use: Manganese Nickel Alloy Steel Resists Corrosion

These chains are made from high-quality manganese nickel alloy steel that stands up to tough conditions without rusting or wearing out fast. Whether you’re tackling deep snow, slush, or salty roads, the hardened links stay strong season after season. Dry them after each trip and store them in the included durable nylon bag to keep them ready for the next storm.

Smooth Ride on Heavy Snow Days: Low-Profile 16 mm Clearance Design

Konig designed these chains with 16 mm inside and on-the-tread clearance to deliver reliable traction without the rough bounce of heavy-duty chains. That low-profile build keeps the drive comfortable while still giving the grip you need to stay in control when the snow piles up.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

This was the fastest next day shipping! I ordered late and the next thing I knew the shipper picked it up, and was at my door mid morning! Thank you! In time for a storm!

Chains fit 2022 F350 Tremor with 285/70R18 tires. A little difficult to drape around tire evenly due to the deep lugs/siping on Dura Trac tires but not bad. Plenty of clearance to brake and suspension components. Get some parachute cord to place over the tensioning chain on the rear tire to protect the hub. Have not used in snow yet. A bit pricey but high quality and fairly easy installation both front and back. I also have Konig chains for my Subaru Outback that are excellent. Etrailer customer service is always excellent.

These chains fit my 2019 Hyundai Kona EV (2WD) well and were just the thing add traction in deep snow after the recent blizzard. They are easy to put on (though the weather and sand/salt on the roads wet, cold and dirty to deal with) and they work very well to boost traction. They are a great value and I would highly recommend!

by:

I have to say I'm extremely satisfied with these tire chains!! They're so aggressive and work well with my corolla. My at is front wheel drive and the weight of the motors sits perfectly in line with the tire/chain combination. They bite and dig right in the snow and ice. My drive way is very long as you can see and quite dangerous in snowy conditions. I've had numerous times where I've had to slip the chains on and it was a breeze. They're so easy to put on and off. I feel extremely confident throughout the winter season with the Thule tire chains in the back of my trunk. Thank you so much! You guys have great products going!

by:

Pleased to say I can finally review these tire chains. I bought them as a precautionary measure before going up to Vermont for a week earlier in January. Used them extremely briefly up there and thought they were solid.

Fast forward a couple weeks to now, and we received 20+ inches of snow in about 24 hours in central Massachusetts. Got to and from my friends' house for the Pats AFC Championship game while the snow was dumping no problem. No need to dig my car out, no need to concern myself with which roads had been plowed or not, and no need to avoid hills in either direction. I never thought my FWD wagon with 6" clearance and all-seasons would eat snow like this. The chains are peace of mind to the highest degree. At this point I think they should plow the roads less!

Mounting is pretty easy too, but they require some finagling to get them in place when you're doing it out in the snow. Getting them off is more annoying because you have to blindly find the connector on the backside of the tire, but it's not bad with some patience.

by:

Shipping was very fast, the tire chains had a hard plastic case, which is great. Visually they look great, brand new, no hardware is damaged, it all fits together properly by hand. I haven't checked the fit yet, I will update my review if they don't fit.

I had not received my order as of this email. I called my neighbors and located that it was delivered to 2160 Springer Rd . I am told by 2160 the box is in terrible condition, I will confirm and send pictures when I get home on the 20th

I used these on my wife's 22 Mercedes GLS450, on a recent trip to Mammoth. The tire size 325/35/23 for her car was very difficult to find so I was very impressed with the fit and function of these. We drove for about 50 miles with them over the weekend and were very easy to install and remove.

by:

I've had these before for a previous company vehicle and they are awesome! Pulling a 4 ton trailer down a snowy road, they held on tight. Smooth ride.
Excellent place to order from. Fast shipping and great customer service. Thank you!

by:

Fantastic experience! I could not find the correct size for my car. Tirechain.com, AutoZone, and others did not carry the correct size for my 2022 vehicle. Thankfully etrailer.com had what we were looking for and they were able to get the chains to me in a couple of days at a minimal cost. Thanks guys

Sales team took the time to work through my options. I needed chains for my new truck to use in Search and Rescue. Key to my use is ease of installation in bad weather, and also performance. Really appreciated the provided advice and recommendation.

Hey Dennis. What you do is such amazing work! I'm glad we had the chains to help you stay safe in the snow.

by:

Amazing product! Excellent look and execution of design. Better than expected fit on tire size too. Recommend measuring inboard clearance between sidewall and upper control arm (any suspension components) to ensure full inch of room. Mine (cityboy Ram 1500 4X4 Sport) was insufficient (half inch) to clear chain on front tires. Still LOVE these chains and no regrets on purchase. Order early as mine took months to arrive (they told me that upfront though so not a dig on company at all). Highly recommend!

by:

Shipped very fast. Tracking and info all the way.

by:

The on line and telephone experience was perfect. The product is great. Easier to install than I thought and a giant leap above tire chains for which you have to crawl under the truck to install them. Workmanship on the chains looks very solid, time will tell. The only reason for my 4 star rating rather than 5 star to total uselessness of the included directions. Watching the video was much more informative and understandable than the included directions. These were intended to be understandable for multiple language speakers, and that's a good intent. However the pictures and symbols are barely sufficient let alone complete and clear instructions. I would recommend these chains to anyone shopping but I would also recommend watching the video on the etrailer website and forget the included directions.

Hello Tony, I have a great option for your 2022 GMC Yukon XL with tire size 275/50-22. The Konig Tire Chains Diamond Pattern Square Link Assisted Tensioning 1 Pair # KON44FR. I have installed a lot of different chains here at etrailer, and these are honestly some of the easier ones to put on. I still recommend doing a trial run in the comfort of your warm garage. As with all tire chains, it is always good to go with the recommendations outlined in the owner's manual when it comes to your size 275/60-20 tires on your 2021 Ford F-150. With that being said, the # TC3029 and # PW3029C will provide a little bit of traction to your BF Goodrich tires. Thanks for reaching out! While the Konig K-Summit Tire Chains # KON24FR will fit 275/50-22 size tires, it's designed for smaller vehicles as the chains are smaller.
