Features to know about

Stay in Control on Icy Roads: Ladder-Pattern Rollers Grip When It Matters

When the roads get slick, these Titan cable tire chains give you the traction you need to keep moving. The ladder pattern of low-carbon steel rollers bites into light snow and ice for steady forward grip without the jolt of heavy chain links. Each cable wraps tight around your tire for smooth, predictable handling on pavement and packed snow.

Keep Moving with Limited Wheel-Well Clearance: Class S Compatible Design

If your vehicle doesn’t have much space around the tires, these cables fit where bulkier chains can’t. They meet SAE Class S standards, so they clear tight suspension and brake components while still giving you the traction you need. It’s the right setup when you want safety and compliance without risking damage from oversized links.

Be Ready for Winter Rules: Compact Chains That Travel Anywhere

Some roads require you to carry traction devices even if you never plan to use them. These compact, lightweight cables are perfect to keep in your trunk or truck box for those “chains required” signs. They pack down small, weigh far less than traditional chains, and can be installed quickly when conditions change.

Simple, No-Lever Setup: Manual Tensioning Saves Time

Getting these on is straightforward—feed the cable through the steel channel, connect front and back, and snug them by hand. No levers or complicated tools. Add optional rubber adjusters for a tighter fit, and you’re ready to roll after a quick check. They’re a solid choice for occasional winter travel or as an emergency backup.

Connecting rear side cable behind the tire by threading metal stop through chain hook during Titan Cable installation.

Securing excess side cable using metal clip on Titan Chain cable tire chains during installation.

Rubber adjusters attached in a star pattern on Titan Chain cable tire chains for a secure fit on a car tire.

Built to Handle Light Snow Season After Season: Low-Carbon Steel Durability

Each cable is made from low-carbon steel for a balance of strength and flexibility. The smooth rollers resist wear and make for a quieter ride than heavy-duty chains. With proper care and drying after use, they’ll hold up through multiple winters of light snow driving and keep you ready for whatever the road throws at you.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Rated based on quality of materials, have not had to use yet. Was going to buy a different set but so very glad I took recommendation of etrailer!

by:

I appreciate the quality service provided by your team. I will be in mountains of Honduras with a medical team in three weeks and will put the chains to the test.

by:

This set of snow cables worked like a charm. Purchased them for upcoming trip to Big Bear Lake. And we got lucky, it snowed the night we arrived. Had no problem with traction driving around.

by:

I was able to get tire chains for emergencies at a reasonable price. I comes in a zip-up case, so it is easy to store.

by:

Etrailer was great. The item shipped the same day I placed the order. The items I received were as described, and fit well. These fit my 2013 Ford F150 FX2. Haven't had to use them yet, but with an icy forcast, and pregnant wife, I figured I better have them on hand.

by:

The tire cables I ordered are great they work great on pavemet . etrailer had fast shipping .thank you etrailer

by:

These are the style chains Ford recommends. But they are a tight fit (which you want but like all tight fitting chains they're a bear to put on with cold wet hands) I find my truck works better with the chains installed on both the front and rear.

by:

Everything looks good although I haven’t had a chance to use them yet. Fulfillment and shipping was spot on, the other reviews weren’t lying about that. I know that if I have any questions, ETrailer has several videos and tutorials to assist as well as excellent customer service.

by:

Ordered my snow chains and they arrived promptly. Product was easy to install and iof good quality. Will definitely order from etrailer again. Very good experience and customer service.

by:

Just received these chains today and can’t speak to their quality or fit. The order process and shipping was stellar however. These chains fit a special sized tires and the website and comments were very helpful in choosing the correct size

by:

Please discontinue this product, putting these ( rolling cylinders, NOT CHAINS ) on my tires, was like trying to walk on roller skates, they absolutely do not work.

by:

I love my cable chains from Etrailer! Iiked my 1st set so much that I bought a second set as well. I love the ease of putting cable chains on as opposed to putting on regular heavy duty chains. They're made of great quality and you won't be disappointed. Also... They were a great price and free shipping as well. Hard to beat these days.

by:

I have not had deep enough snow to put chains on my 4WD just yet but the chains fit well. I also thank etrailer for all of the very helpful videos and product support to make an informed decision. Super helpful!

by:

The chains actually arrived a day earlier than projected.

The cable chains (2028) look great and very durable. I put them on my 2014
Toureg with 20 Inch wheels with some effort and they fit perfectly. I am
ready to try them out next winter if needed.

The only disappointment is that they arrived in a very nice carrying bag.
But after taking them out and trying them on for fit, it was impossible to
get them back into the original bag that they arrived in. I ended up using
a bit larger tool bag to store them.

by:

Very satisfied. I ordered these on a Sunday and received them 5 days later on Friday, which was just in time for my snow trip on Saturday. Very easy to use and installation is fast. I used them on my 2014 Ram 1500 SLT, 2WD, tire size is P265/70R17 M+S (which stands for Mud and Snow Tires) My truck requires the class "S" chains, which these are clearly labeled as such.

by:

exactly as described, very very easy to install. i installed the chains (dry fit) in a couple of minutes. very very easy! there was some previous issues reported by other customers regarding the bags tearing. the bags are a little flimsy but had no issues returning the chains to the bag without damage to the bag after installation and removal. great quality I purchased 2 sets.

tire chains worked very well. very good quality and really light compared to regular linked chains.

by:

I purchased a set of Titan cable snow chains for my 2002 Toyota Tacoma. I rarely use chains but when I have to it's usually just for getting to work and around town so I prefer thin cable chains over regular link chains. These are perfect! Easy to get on and off and I love the tension clamp. It's definitely a step up from my old cable chains. The price was excellent as well. The cheapest I found anywhere. I definitely recommend them. Thanks ETrailer!

by:

Bought the Glacier v-bar chains for the rear tires in extreme conditions and the Titan cable chains for lighter duty, also to be installed on the rear tires. Videos show that the cable-chains can be installed on the front tires of a 2020 or greater Toyota Tacoma, though not recommended by the owner’s manual. These cables are S-class compatible so they should work on the front tires, however caution should be taken as appropriate. I would recommend only installing on the front tires after the v-bar chains have been installed on the rear tires and extra traction is deemed worthy.

Both the Glacier and Titan multi-arm adjusters were ordered in support of the chains.

Parts arrived as ordered in a timely fashion.

Have not installed or used these products at the time of review.

Still working great! Quality products and great service!

I actually don't ever plan on using these chains. I live in California, drive an f150 4x4, but am requried by law to carry chains when chain restrictions are in place. We all know that before Caltrans/CHP require that 4x4's with MS or AT tires chain up, they will just close the roads. Great service and prompt delivery. Thank you!

Gotta love those traffic laws! You at least got a good brand so you can have peace of mind should the occasion ever arise.

Great service again from a very reputable company. Tire chains arrived one day earily and in great shape. The video for installing 20" chains is excellent even for someone who has installed many. No pictures yet...hope I don't need to use them for a while!

Will was very pleasant and his assistance was greatly appreciated. The product was delivered as promised, which I truly appreciated since I was in immediate need of chains for my Charisma trip.

Thanks Will!!!

Worked well in snowy conditions!

The product was delivered on time and e-trailer kept me informed from the time of order until delivery.

Just received my chains yesterday. I have to say, first of, customer service is EXCELLENT! I had questions on which chains were best for my SUV and I was promptly responded with suggestions and links to videos. I went with these tire cables for my 2015 Dodge Durango SXT Plus. There was question about clearance issues with brake lines on the Durango and these seem to be very low profile and made for lower clearance. The price was right too. I did a dry install today and it was a breeze. Took way longer to fold these back up and put back into the storage bag! Lol! (That's not these chains fault, it's user error...) I took some pictures but note it was my first time installing tire cables so I'm going to have to center them a bit more. I purchased the Titan chain multi arm rubber chain adjusters and they did make a difference on how snug the cables fit, so I would recommend them. We only plan on using them on very rare occasions when we venture up the mountain, so in sure if you live where it snows all the time, you will probably look at higher prices chains, but I think these are perfect for the occasional use. I will update after our Big Bear trip if we use them to reflect actual use. Thank you etrailer, they also upgraded my shipping to get here a couple days earlier just because... that was amazing!

  • Tire Chains Compatible With 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 4x4 With 265/70R18 Tires
Your owner's manual specifies that you should not use tire chains on your size tires. Then they pass the liability on to manufacturers of the tire chains. The manufacturers all say they fit a specific tire size and to check your owners manual so they aren't liable. It leaves you needing to make the decision. Often the vehicle manufacturer will specify the need for class S which is a reduced interior clearance, but your owner's manual doesn't even give this option. The best chains for...

Unfortunately those two size tires will require different snow chains. I've looked up some chains like # TC2028 that will fit 245/85-16 tires and 275/65R16 tires, but the 245/75-16 are not a confirmed fit for chains that also fit 265/75R16 tires. The diameter, width, and sidewall height are simply too different. We currently only have cable snow tire chains that fit both size tires and I recommend the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains # TC3010 because they are Class-S compatible to fit wheel wells with limited clearance and have a ladder pattern which is best for starting and stopping.
