Features to know about

Climbing Steep Snowy Roads with Confidence: Square Links Bite Hard

When you’re heading up a mountain pass or down a slick rural road, you need chains that really dig in. The square links on these Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains cut deep into snow and ice so you can keep steady traction without slipping around. The ladder pattern keeps your drive smooth and controlled, especially when climbing grades or braking on slick packed snow.

Stay Moving Through Deep Snow and Ice: Alloy Construction Holds Strong

Built for serious winter conditions, these chains use a manganese nickel alloy that holds up better than standard carbon steel. The zinc finish helps resist rust and corrosion so they last for many seasons of use. It’s the kind of setup you can rely on when you’re heading into heavy snow or icy backroads.

No Hassle Getting the Chains Tight: Built-In Cams Make Tensioning Simple

Getting chains snug can be a chore, but not with these. Each chain has built-in cams—just insert the included tool and give them a twist to pull everything tight around the tire. The assisted tensioning means less fiddling in the cold, and you can add optional rubber or chain adjusters for an extra-secure fit.

Use the cam tightening tool to twist and secure the Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains for a snug fit on the tire.

Ready for Work or Weekend Trips: Durable Setup for Repeated Use

Whether you’re heading out for a ski trip or using your vehicle for winter work, these chains are made to handle it. The 7 mm (0.281") thick links give you the strength to push through deep snow without stretching or breaking down. Each set includes 2 chains sized for 22"–24-1/2" tires, backed by a 30-day limited warranty, so you’re covered season after season.

Lay Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains flat on the ground to remove tangles before installation on vehicle tires.

Drape Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains evenly over the tire, ensuring prongs face away from the sidewalls.

Connect Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains behind and in front of the tire to secure and tighten during installation.

Check and retighten Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains after driving forward to ensure a secure fit; add rubber adjusters if needed.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Video Transcript for Checking Out the Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains w Cams

Hey everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're gonna to be taking a look at the Titan Chains, snow tire chains. What we have right here is a ladder pattern style chain. What does that mean Well we just have these cross chains going across. So these are gonna be a little bit more rough than some of the other ones that make a diamond pattern. Just because with these we're gonna from chain to tire to chain to tire as we rotate around.

It's going to be a little bit rougher of a ride compared to some of the other ones. Definitely gonna give you more traction than some of the cable tire chains, just because those ones give you a whole lot traction but they are smoother. So its all up to you. I don't really mind the ride because I just don't wanna get stuck. So these are gonna be a bit more aggressive than your twist chains cause they're square links.

But they are gonna be less aggressive than some of the V bar style chains. So these are gonna have a manganese nickel alloy steel and these are gonna be coated so they're nice and strong. You can kind of see the cool little colors with it. So this is gonna last you plenty of time , comparing these to some of the other ladder pattern style chains, some of them don't have cam tensioners. I am a very big cam guy, really like them just because you can get the chain nice and tight on there even without the rubber tensioner.

But we are gonna have to use those which aren't included with the kit. We do have a fair amount of space between the chain and our wheels. There are some little areas where it might kind of over hang, but I don't really think it's gonna do a whole lot. Just be mindful of that whenever your setting it up. I don't really think it's gonna do much to our wheels if anything at all.

It does come in a pack of two, so it comes with little tiny canvas bag which it does fit in there. They fit in there well you don't really have to work real hard to get them back in. The cable tire chains are really difficult to get back in so this is definitely easier than that. But I am just not a big fan of the canvas bag, they do tend to rip, so the chains are going to out last the bag. If you wanted to get some that are a little bit easier to install and come with a carrying case, that's plastic. There are some Konig self tensioning snow tire chains or the premium snow tire chains. Those are the best just because we don't have to get down on the ground to make our connection, all the stuff is up here. But these are gonna get the job done, give us the extreme traction and you do just wanna make sure to check with your owners manual to figure out exactly which tires, which wheels you want to put them on. So, if they say the back, put them on the back, if they say you could put them on all four wheels, just go ahead and grab two of these and that's all you really need to do. And that'll do it, for a look at the Titan chains, snow tire chains..

Product delivered super fast and arrived as described. I called customers service with a simple question and was able to talk to knowledgeable staff. My call took less than 5 min. I had the chains on my wheel as a trial within 15 minutes. Great product! Great service! Thanks.

Great quality product, etrailer had the best price for a product of this quality. Fast shipping too. Thanks again!

Chains seem of good guality. Fitment is good. Bought for a 265/70-17 tire. Couple of links extra on each side which doesnt bother me. Could trim off if wanted. Shipped right away. Price is good. Overall very pleased.

This style chain gives my the traction I need without tearing off my mud flaps.

by:

The order was shipped to my house in 2 days. After unpackaging it was noted that 2 of the cam tighteners were wissing. I cantacted etrailer and received a prompt response from Megan M. that they will ship those to me tomorrow. The service from etrailer was very professional and fast. I have shopped many times with etrailer in the past and they always perform very well.

These chains are a great item. Easy to put on and cam tighteners are the best! Links are rugged and durable. I use them for plowing and had to deploy them to get my truck out of a deep situation this winter and they worked flawlessly.

by:

REALLY great set of tire chains. Easy to put on.
etrailer is a GREAT company to order from.

by:

To be honest, I have a 4 x 4 and so the chains are a backup item and more for off road applications. I used them once so far, and they performed very good - easy to put on and gave me a lot of extra traction. I also like the cam tightening feature as it makes larger chains easier to get tight. I would anticipate them to do the same again and am sure they will last me several years.

by:

Great product. Easy to install on my bobcat skidsteer tires.. Cams are very helpful in tightening and i have a couple of cams left I can still use to tighten if the chains become a little loose in use. Pushed snow around in my driveway today with ease

by:

I was conserned about 5.5 mil chains but these will never break. Cross links are amaizing

by:

They fit very very snug and looks like they won’t break the brake line off my Ram. I did have to bend 2 cross links open and un twist 2 links of the outside chain which I believe was a manufacturing mess up causing one of the cams to dig sideways into the side wall. After that it fit a bit better and won’t damage my tire. Overall very well built and good quality! I would recommend these to anyone who has a Ram! Just check the way it fits before hitting the snow.

by:

Fit nicely on 275 65 R18 Silverado. These bailed me out just today! I ordered a pair and dry fitted them on the front of my truck and there is plenty of clearance. I ordered two more so I will be able to chain up all four wheels. Can't testify to their durability, but they appear well built and they are simple to put on with the cam adjusters. Happy with the purchase.

by:

Received the chains promptly and I feel, for a very fair price. The day after the chains were delivered I got a text from my son with photos, both he and his girlfriend had been successful elk hunting in the mountains. He secured permission from a landowner to allow me to drive in to get closer for retrieving their 2 bulls. With a foot of snow on ice, the chains did a wonderful job getting us out and providing a secure feeling on the otherwise treacherous mountain two track. I chained up in front only (as I normally do) unless I’m in very deep snow. The cams tightened the chains well but I always use tensioners anyway for added insurance. Great job as always etrailer! Many thanks!

Getting ready for winter, searched the web and local tire shops for tire chains for my 2019 Toyota Tundra. I found that etrailer.com had the best prices on the above chains plus FREE SHIPPING out to Oregon. The chains arrived on the day they stated. After ups dropped them off I installed them on the Tundra to make sure of a good fit. They fit perfectly. I'll be doing more business with etrailer.com in the future! Thank you Rick

by:

Awesome set of tire chains! One Winter in the books so far for these chains and they have held up well. The cam adjusters are just the ticket to keep them tight, but I still throw on a set of rubber adjusters, for even more piece of mind.

by:

Heavy duty tire chains really worked well in our snowy area. They are fairly easy to put on, and they really grip the snow, with their square chains in the gripping area. They are made of high-quality materials, and the side chains are plated. The unique adjusters are very cool, and eliminate the need for bungees to keep things tight. I am very satisfied.

by:

Stout chains will get the job done

by:

You folks get 3 stars. Only because I cannot return the unused chains for a credit, (maybe to use on new chains that will fit the slightly larger tires that these chains will not fit). Will be selling these on craigs list and maybe find chains that will fit locally. Two lost sales for you, sounds like policy is starting to impact sales negativity.

by:

I received my order on the 2nd day. great response time. haven't open it yet, winter is a little ways off so i won't Know my satisfaction or dislike till that time comes I plan on this weekend to put both, the blind spot mirrors, and my boat mirror on. I live in Florida so I will know about the boat mirror soon. I bought a little Jeep wrangler for my son who lives in upstate NY (Adirondack mts.) . he owns a restaurant up there and when it snows they charge him a pretty penny to plow it.so I got to get the jeep up there, buy and install a plow for it and walla! thank you for your concern! i'll let you know how it all shakes out.

by:

Great product and excellent super-fast service. I needed chains on very short notice and the folks at etrailer got the job done, while also keeping me up to date.

by:

Have not used them yet. To warm in the North east right now. Very nice chains. I'm sure they will work. Could us a carry bag though. I'll buy a small tool bag for them...

by:

Received excellent service when looking at various snow chain options. Chains were received within a few days from order date.

by:

We purchased these chains for our Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 conversion. I only did a dry fit so far. I can say that these square link chains are heavy duty and appear well made. Cam tighteners snug the chains down tight and the adjusters should keep everything in place. I'll update after use.

by:

I have used these chains in Colorado on an icy road towing a trailer and in muddy conditions towing a much larger truck and trailer out of a muddy circumstance. The chains were easy to install - even in the mud and ice and performed fabulously. Make sure you tighten them up well. I have loved these chains.

by:

Two of the edge D loops (at end of the cross chains) are upside down with the wrong side against the tore. It does not lay flush agsinst the tire and sticks against the tire. Could potentially damage the tire. This defect should have been found during a test fit or "QC" and never sold in that condition.
