Features to know about

Smooth Out Every Bump: Strider Tires for a Stable Ride

Towing can get rough on uneven roads, but Strider tires are designed to keep your trailer steady. Rounded shoulders and compliant sidewalls help absorb bumps and road shock, making for a smoother, more controlled ride whether you're hauling equipment or heading to the campsite.

Avoid Blowouts on Long Hauls: Highway-Speed Rated Up to 81 MPH

Not all trailer tires are built for extended high-speed travel, but Strider tires are rated for up to 81 mph. This means you can drive at highway speeds with confidence, knowing these tires are engineered to handle the heat buildup that causes blowouts on long trips.

Stay in Control in Wet Conditions: Deep Tread for Reliable Traction

Rain-slicked roads can make towing unpredictable, but Strider's deep tread channels water away to maintain grip. Whether you're hauling a camper or a boat, these tires help reduce the risk of slipping and provide steady traction when the roads get wet.

Support Your Haul: Each Tire Holds Up to 2,150 lbs

Heavy gear, building materials, or a loaded toy hauler - whatever you're pulling, these tires are up to the task. With a max load of 2,150 lbs per tire, they're built for moderate to heavy-duty towing, keeping your trailer stable under weight.

Built to Last: Black Modular Revolver Wheels with Corrosion-Resistant Finish

Your wheels take a beating from the elements, but Revolver's black modular steel wheels are built to last. A corrosion-resistant finish protects against rust from rain, road salt, and grime, keeping them strong and reliable trip after trip with minimal maintenance.

Stay Secure on the Road: Improved Torque Retention Technology

The Revolver wheels beveled stud holes create a better clamp force, helping keep your wheel securely in place. This means less frequent retorquing of lug nuts and more confidence that your setup will stay tight while towing.

Video Transcript for Review of Taskmaster Trailer Tires and Wheels - Tire with Wheel - TA77AR

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Strider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range D, and it's mounted on this 14 inch Revolver Black Modular Steel Trailer Wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this is a heavy-duty sturdy steel wheel. Has the modular design with the black finish. When we say modular design, that's the one that has all the round holes that go around the wheel.

They do use a black E-coat finish, to resist chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. And the finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pretreatment, and then it covers an E-coat primer layer. This will give you excellent corrosion resistance, has a salt spray rating of more than 1000 hours, which is more than a lot of the galvanized wheels. A few dimensions on the wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is 5 inches wide.

The bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and if you wanted to measure that on the wheel like this that's an odd number of lugs, in this case, 5, what you'll do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes, but when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So if we measured it on this, it would measure 4 1/2 inches, so that's telling you it's a 5 lug, 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,160 pounds. Now, if you notice, this does not include a center cap. We do sell those separately, if you want one.

You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole, 'cause when you do install that center cap, it'll go through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now, the tire is a radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords, for a nice long life. So it is great for highway use.

And they do use a nylon tread-firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. It is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, so it does have the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads, and it is, again, it's created specifically for trailers; it's not intended for use on other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, ST, for Special Trailer, 205/75R15, the R means that it is a radial tire. Section width, 8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 27.1 inches. And we mentioned it's a load range D tire, which means it's an 8 ply rated tire, so it does have a maximum load capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI. And I do wanna mention this tire does also have a speed rating on it, and it's stamped on the sidewall, but it is in a letter designation. And where you'll find it is, if you go down by the wheel, where the tire size is listed, right after it there's two numbers for the load index, and then the letter N is stamped on there. Speed rating N means this has an 87 mile per hour speed rating. Now, this does come with a 2 year Platinum Plus warranty, which includes roadside service and other benefits. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications, and it will exceed your Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Now, always remember, if you have any questions regarding this product or any of our products, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat, or email, or if you have purchased any product from us, please send us pictures of it being used in your application, 'cause we would love to see how that product's working out for you. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Taskmaster Strider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range D, mounted on this 14 inch Revolver Black Modular Steel Trailer Wheel.

  • Can A Spare Tire Have A Higher Load Rating Than The Other Trailer Tires?
Hi John! Though you want the spare to match the rest of your tires/wheels, having a different load range isn't really going to hurt anything. I would have said differently if it was a completely different tires size. However, the tread wear will be different as different load ranges will behave differently under load, so do keep that in mind. What size are your tires? We likely have one that will match what you currently have.
