This 16" x 6" Vesper steel modular trailer wheel is rated for 3,860 lbs and designed with a zero offset so weight stays evenly distributed across the hub. The balanced spacing gives dependable performance under load, whether you’re running long miles or working day in and day out. The 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and 5.12" pilot diameter make it a solid match for heavy-duty setups that need strength and stability.
The silver acrylic enamel finish keeps this steel wheel looking clean even after long exposure to road grime, salt, and water. It’s applied over a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and e-coat primer for over 1,000 hours of salt spray protection. Compared to standard powder coats, this enamel resists chips and curb rash longer, so you can count on it to keep rust away season after season.
The beveled stud holes lock the wheel snugly against the hub so it doesn’t loosen during use. This design helps eliminate the need for constant retorquing of lug nuts, keeping your setup secure mile after mile. It’s a simple detail that makes a big difference in reliability when towing heavy or traveling far.
For setups running higher load range tires—E, F, or G—the Vesper wheel handles the pressure when paired with a metal valve stem like the Americana Bolt-In # AM20906. That combination supports tires rated up to and beyond 110 psi without issue. The included valve stem works for standard pressure use, giving flexibility depending on your tire choice.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Very good quality built wheel, good finish and workmanship. Fast delivery. Comes in a well protected easy to carry box. Highly recommend this wheel. Wish it came with an all metal valve stem, had to cut the rubber/metal valve stem off and install a quality all metal valve stem into it.

Just got the new tire mounted on the rim! Now I'm looking for lug nuts and bolts for a heavy duty tilt trailer 8 hole lug. I'm also looking for a brushed aluminum 16" rim with the identical pattern as the one I just purchased. The steel rim will then become my spare.

Bought four of these about two and a half years ago. One started leaking around a weld seam, but now out of warranty. Had to get another one that matched the others, otherwise would have gone with another brand. Hoping none of the others nor this new one have the same issue.

A year later and no further issues.
I have bought a dozen of these wheels over time, and they are very strong and nice looking. Well built to handle 14 ply tires.
