Question:
I HAVE A 2014 FORREST RIVER WILDCAT FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER. IT HAS 235/80/R16 TIRE E. CAN I REPLACE THEM WITH A 235/80/ R16 TIRE G AND RIMS HANDLE IT
asked by: BILLY
Expert Reply:
Yes you can replace your load range E tires, like the Provider ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWTRTM2358016E, with load range G tires like the Provider ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire # PRG80235.
The 16" wheels like # TA55VR that fit # TTWTRTM2358016E & # PRG80235 can still be used, however you're going to need to upgrade the valve stem because of the increased PSI rating on the G load range tires.
You can use the Americana Metal, Bolt-In Valve Stem # AM20906 as long as you have 0.453" and 0.625" diameter rim holes.
