Features to know about

Stays Tight After the Miles: Beveled Stud Holes Keep Lug Nuts Secure

Constantly checking lug nuts after a trip gets old fast. The beveled stud holes on this 14" x 5-1/2" steel wheel seat snugly against the hub so everything stays put once torqued down. That secure fit cuts out the need for constant retightening and helps your setup stay dialed in for the long haul.

Built for Everyday Hauling: 2,200-lb Load Rating and Steel Construction

When you’re moving heavy loads day after day, you want a wheel that can handle it without bending or fuss. This durable steel construction is rated for 2,200 lbs, giving you dependable strength for repeated use and real-world road conditions. It’s a straightforward setup built to last through miles of work and travel.

Simple Fit with Common Bolt Pattern: 5 on 4-1/2" Layout

Finding a match shouldn’t be a chore. The 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern is one of the most widely used layouts, making it easy to line up with existing hubs or spares. It includes a 3.19" pilot diameter and 1/2"-20 wheel bolt size for a proper, consistent fit every time.

Clean, Classic Look That Holds Up: Black Powder-Coated Spoke Design

A wheel can do its job and still look good doing it. The black powder-coat finish adds a sharp, classic spoke style while sealing out moisture and road grime. It resists corrosion and keeps its clean look across seasons of use.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Lionshead Trailer Tires and Wheels - Wheel Only - LH52VR

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Lionshead 14 inch by 5 1/2-inch black spoke steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this is a steel wheel, has a multi-spoke design, it's sturdy and corrosion resistant, and the finish on is a rust-resistant finish. Includes a black powder coat on both sides front and back. And if you notice, the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately.

You do wanna make sure to get a center cap. It'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause when you install it, it'll slide in through the back through this hole. The diameter of this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now if you notice also right over here, they do include a valve stem. It is pre-installed.

And this wheel does meet the DOT and SAE J 1204 specifications and the wheel is made in the USA. A few measurements on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width, and the diameter is always measured inside to inside. So bead seat to bead seat. So if we go, there's your inside to inside, it's 14-inch diameter. The width we mentioned is the same way, inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat.

And there's your 5 1/2-inch width. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, that's an odd number of lugs, five lugs. What you'll do is pick any hole, let's say this one right here, and then measure across to either one of these holes. And when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to.

So on this wheel, it'll measure 4 1/2 inches. So that's telling you it's a five lug, 4 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,200 pounds. Now we do also offer many other items for your trailer. All you need to do is click on the trailer tab that's at the top of our website page. And also if you have any other quick additional request, questions regarding this part or any other item we carry, please feel free to reach out to us so that we can help you get you all your questions answered. But that's gonna do it for our look at the Lionshead 14 by 5 1/2-inch black spoke steel trailer wheel.

  • Looking For Parts For 1986 24' Equipment Trailer
Hello Wies, thanks for reaching out. We may have some of what you are looking for, but I would need more specific information on this trailer in order to know exactly what will work. A lot of older trailers use parts that are oddball sizes and are now obsolete, but it really depends on what you have. We may have a wheel that will work, but it sounds like you are looking for 14.5" dually wheels which is not something we have. We do not have any 14.5" wheels so you would need to go with...
