When you’re carrying serious weight, a sturdy wheel makes all the difference. The Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel is built from strong steel and rated for 2,150 lbs, so it stays solid under load. It meets Department of Transportation standards for reliability and gives you peace of mind when your trailer is fully packed.
Corrosion can ruin a wheel fast, especially when it’s exposed to moisture or road grime. This wheel’s white powder coat finish is baked over an e-coat primer, sealing out rust and keeping the surface looking clean. The modular design adds strength and a classic look that stays sharp over time.
Getting the right fit shouldn’t be tricky. This 15" diameter by 6" wide rim uses the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, with a 3.19" pilot diameter and zero offset for balanced mounting. The wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, and it uses a valve stem hole that’s 0.45" in diameter, making setup easy with standard hardware.
The Dexstar Mini Mod is designed to hold steady pressure during regular use. It’s rated for up to 80 psi—plenty of margin for heavy loads or long trips—and pairs with valve stem # AM20904 for the best match at that pressure range. That kind of consistency helps keep your tires performing smoothly mile after mile.
This wheel centers on the lug nuts rather than the hub, which makes it lug-centric like most trailer wheels. It’s ready to be balanced at any tire shop with a pin plate adapter so you can expect a steady, even ride when you’re towing on the highway or around town.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 15-inch by 6-inch white modular steel trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. We mentioned it's a modular design. When we say modular design, that's the one that has those round holes all the way around the wheel. This wheel will give you excellent corrosion resistance 'cause they use a two-step finishing process, which first includes an E-coat primer on the wheel, and then they put a white powder coat finish over the wheel.
It is a high-quality wheel, does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. If you notice, it does not come with the center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those supplemental website. You wanna make sure to get one that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole. 'cause when you install the cap, it will go through this hole.
Diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19-inches. This wheel is made by Dexstar, which is made in the USA. A few measurements I'm gonna give you is the diameter and the width of the wheel. And when we measure the diameter, what you're gonna be measuring is inside to inside because what you're measuring is when a tire's mounted on this wheel, the tire beads are gonna seat right here. So you're measuring from one bead seat to the other to get you the correct diameter.
So you'll be able to see inside to inside. There's your 15-inch measurement. The width will be the same way. You're measuring inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your 6-inch width.
Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this, that's an odd number of lugs. What you'll need to do is pick one of the lug holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So if we measured this one, it'd be 4-1/2-inches. So that'd tell you it's a five lug, 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a 1/2-inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,200 pounds. But that should do it for a look at the Dexstar 15-inch by 6-inch white modular steel trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2-inch pull bolt pattern.

I wanted the 15 inch rims to allow a higher capacity tire to be installed on my rv.
You offered an American made product from a well know company at a very competitive price and useful advise on making the upgrade. Could not be more satisfied with the product and service.
Shipping was very fast and the price seemed fair. I asked my tire guy if they were good quality rims and he said they were since I would have no idea!!!
had to order new rims for my horse trailer. Th
E website was very informative about the identifying the bolt spacing, rim width, center bore dimension, etc. The rims arrived promptly, and they fit perfectly.
Good steel, but not really ‘heavy duty’

Great!! Prices are unbeatable!!
The ease of ordering and customer service we received was very good. We are in some unprecedented times, and when I called because I was worried we would not get the wheels in time for our installation appointment, my concerns were met with a caring attitude. We set our appointment out two weeks from the order date, but the warehouse was backed-up on filling orders. With in a day of calling our order was shipped and received in plenty of time so that we were able to keep our appointment. The wheels were in perfect condition. Thank you!
Stout wheels. Nothing jazzy about them. Be sure to know the 15x? Number. My old 14s were 5.5. These 6.0s are very close to my Casita rv suspension upgrade. Had to hold my breath a little hoping they would fit. I’m cutting a star because of the packaging. Two came packed in a box that was way too big. They should be sent in individual boxes. The weight shifted on my delivery guy and about twisted his back out of shape. Not a good look.
Looks like a good quality rim. Fit well and should give plenty of good service in years to come. Used for a "rebuild" on a 1976 vintage utility trailer.

They are holding up to use well. Good product at a good price
I recieved my tires and wheels yesterday. I was in need of these quickly since I was leaving on a trip the same week. Dana M. at etrailer hooked me up with the right tires and wheels for my trailer and the shipping was as promised. Thank you guys for a great transaction. I would definitely buy again.
This is a nice wheel, a great upgrade from the small 4.8x12 tires. I have three of these wheels. Single axle with full size spare. Running a 225/75r15.
These wheels look great on my trailer I pull behind my 23T roadster. Thanks, cory
Nothing wrong with these rims just two items I noticed that emphasize you get what you pay for....1. I plan to paint the back side of the rims before installing them. When received the exterior side was coated well but the inside (side facing the trailer) was not completely coated with paint. 2. The plate where the lugs touch is perfectly flat. That will work but a higher quality rim would have some dimples in the plate to add springiness and would act to keep the lugs torqued. The capacity of the rims (both load carrying and psi) are not stamped or written on the rims anywhere. I hope nobody needs to know that information down the road.
Shipping was extremely quick and they were well packaged so etrailer.com gets an A+ for their effort.

Rims are working fine, no problems to date after a year.
Other than a few blemishes on wheels, and some chipped powder coating, the wheels work great and look good!

Awesome
Great service. placed the order Monday AM received the order on Wednesday afternoon. Just what I had ordered and well packed, 2 rims per box. Remounted tires on the new rims and installed back on my Featherlight trailer. Looks a lot better than the old rusty wheels, Thank you
Salesperson was very helpful and shipping was amazingly quick.
These wheels have been good so far, especially for the price. Mounted brand new Taskmaster Contender tires on these wheels when I got them. The tire place did mention they were surprised how much weight it took to balance them since they are made in the USA wheels but they did balance fine and I've not had any issues, maybe they just said that because I didn't buy them from their store, who knows.
