Getting the right fit shouldn’t take guesswork. This wheel uses a common 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern with a pilot diameter of 4.27", zero offset, and a backspacing of 3-1/2". That combination gives a balanced mounting surface and dependable alignment once installed.
The high-quality steel build gives extra rigidity, while the classic 8-spoke pattern adds both structure and a clean look. It’s a simple, proven design that holds up through long days and tough loads without compromise.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Best wheel for under-trailer spare tire.
The spare tire on my 2000 5th wheel trailer is like new because it has never been exposed to UV. But the painted steel wheel was rusted beyond hope. Replacing it with another painted wheel made no sense. This galvanized wheel is maintenance free. And, if it is required, it will be a better match with the trailer's new aluminum wheels (also from etrailer) than a painted wheel.
The galvanize plating on the wheels could probably been a little better but all in all, I would buy these again. Purchasing online was a snap especially the free shipping and they shipped same day as ordered, impressive. I have already mounted tires and replaced the 20 year old wheels with the new wheels.
