When you’re dealing with wet conditions or salt exposure, corrosion can ruin a good wheel fast. This 8" x 7" steel rim is fully galvanized for protection against rust and oxidation, so it keeps its strength and clean look season after season. The finish forms a barrier that stands up to moisture, grime, and road spray without flaking or peeling.
Hauling heavy gear requires hardware you can count on. This wheel meets Department of Transportation standards and carries a 1,165-lb capacity rating. The sturdy steel construction and zero offset design center the load evenly, helping the wheel track straight and perform reliably when weight and distance start to add up.
Getting the right fit shouldn’t be guesswork. This wheel uses a common 4 on 4" bolt pattern with a 2.5" pilot diameter and 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. The centered mounting surface (0 offset) makes for straightforward installation on hubs built for this pattern, giving you a snug and secure connection you can trust on the road.
Consistency and safety matter when you’re towing regularly. This galvanized steel wheel meets DOT specifications, providing peace of mind that it’s built to perform under load and at speed. It’s backed by a limited 1-year warranty for added assurance that it’s ready for the long haul.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're going to take a look at the Americana eight inch by seven inch galvanized steel trailer wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel is a sturdy steel construction. You can see it does have the galvanized finish on it to provide superior protection from rust and corrosion and the galvanized finished wheels are usually used in marine applications. This is a high quality wheel that will meet the DoT Department of Transportation specifications. Few specs on this we're going to measure, the diameter which will always be measured inside to inside. When you measure the diameter you don't want to go outside to outside, it's inside to inside.
We take our tape measures and we go inside to inside. You can see there's your eight inch diameter. The width will be the same way. It's inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat, so it's seven inches wide.Bolt pattern on this wheel is a four on four inch bolt pattern and if you want to measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case four, all you have to do is pick one of the holes. Let's say this one.
Measure from the center of that hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it and it'll measure four inches. So four lug, four inch bolt pattern. This wheel does use the wheel lug size of a half inch by 20 and the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, goes over the hub on your trailer. Diameter of that opening is 2.5 inches and the weight capacity on this wheel is 1,165 pounds, but that should do it for the review on the Americana eight inch by seven inch galvanized steel trailer wheel with the four on four inch bolt pattern.

I recently ordered tires, went to put them on and the old rims were bad in a few spots. Called etrailers up to see about returning them and ordering rims/tires. I talked to Kayla, she helped price out options/ returns compared to just ordering the rims. Within a few minutes we agreed easier to just order the new rims. Im very pleased with all my experiences with etrailer, the customer service was awesome; definitely will keep ordering through them.
Great wheels. Galvanized finish for excellent corrosion resistance. They make the trailer look way better than with the rusted, painted wheels I took off.
These are nice straight/true thick rims. Packaging was perfect! I did have to wait a few extra days for a restock of the rims but no biggie. They were shipped out as soon as they came in and my previous orders from etrailer were all in stock. Just an fyi, the image of this rim makes it looks like a hot-dipped galvanized rim due to the duller color. No way you'd get a hot-dipped process for for the listed price. Watch the associated video or look at the 5 on 4-1/2 rims for a better representation. The finish is more like a shiny galvanized paint. It is a thick coat, and you'll see runoff points, but it seems well protected. I covered mine (after cleaning) with some cold galvanized spray paint so it would match my restored trailer that was also sprayed. The duller topcoat made any paint drips less noticeable. I bought the rims separate from the tires so I could install my own metal valve stems. I'm glad etrailer gives me that option. This was my third order from etrailer. All the personnel are so helpful and feedback is immediate. I couldn't find any other trailer site with such detailed information on their products and such great service! Three separate orders for me so far. I'm sure there will be more.
I recently purchased a used pontoon that needed tires. After some research, I decided a 10 ply tire or load range E (LRE) would be best. Etrailer.com had the best price and they also offered free shipping on orders over $100. The tires look great and shipping was very fast. I will be getting all of my future trailer supplies from etrailer.com
Great rim for the price. I only use the rims to run my boat dolly on it's 2x4 track. Been using it for about 30 years hauling out a 26' to my current 16'. saved me alot of money.
This product was very good and the knowledge of the person who waited on me (Carla M) was really great and knowing her job. Every thing I bought fit and got me on the road quick. Thanks.
Awesome heavy duty rim.
Thanks for a good product on etrailer.c om
Great looking wheel. Appears to be made of good quality! Fats shipping.
Galvanized coating dripped through two of finished lug bolt holes. I scrapped it off before installing on the trailer. I would rate fit and finish of these rims to be "fair".
I mean, it’s just a rim, but it seems solidly made and well galvanized. Price is very fair. I plan on buying more of the 4 hole variety for my other trailer.
Perfect, great price
Product came promptly and was well made.
Great, good fit on a zero turn lawnmowe r.
great product, fast shipment. will be buying more
Worked well on my trailer and price was okay.
Outstanding product; these were hard to find as a replacement for rims. Thanks to etrailer for their help.
Putting these wheels on a fertilizer spreader and being galvanized I think they will last much longer than the painted ones. They were easy to mount and sealed first try airing them up
The wheels arrived in a condition that required sanding of the galvanized "slag" to be smoothened out in order for the tires to seat (not leak air) This was in the manufacturing process was the product was being removed from the dip. Disappointing but workable.
The rims I bought are better quality than most! The galvanized finish is so much better than the painted ones. The tire and rim combo I also bought are a really good value as well. The only problem I have is about back spacing. My old rims have an off-set of 1.5 and the new ones are centered. So the new galvanized rims don't fit because they hit the inner surface, I also have not seen anything on the web site about back spacing either.
