Features to know about

Built to Handle Real Highway Miles: Load Range C with 81-mph Speed Rating

This radial trailer tire is meant for real road use, not just short hops. With a 6-ply rating and a 1,480-lb max load at 50 psi, it’s made to hold steady on long drives and heavy loads. The radial construction cuts heat buildup and rolling resistance so the tread lasts longer and stays consistent even at highway speeds up to 81 mph?(speed rating M). It meets DOT specifications and exceeds FMVSS standards, so you can trust it to perform mile after mile.

Confidence on Wet or Icy Roads: Automotive-Grade Tread with Sipes

When the road turns slick, the tread keeps traction working for you. The automotive-grade pattern has ribs with breaks that let water run off to the sides, while thin grooves—called sipes—channel water away from the contact patch. This helps the tire grip better in wet, snowy, or icy conditions. It’s a big step up from standard trailer tread designs that use solid ribs and can lose traction in bad weather.

Built Strong for Long Life: Double Steel Belts with Nylon Overlay

Durability is built in from the inside out. This Provider radial uses double polyester cords and double steel belts for strength under load, with a nylon tread-firming belt over the top to help prevent tread separation. The tire is bake tested—just like automotive tires—to make sure the rubber compound holds up over time. That combination of materials keeps it steady under weight and smooth through years of use.

Smooth Handling on Long Runs: True Radial Construction

Radial ply design means the cords run at a 90-degree angle to travel direction, so they don’t rub against each other when flexing. That lets the tire roll cooler with less resistance, giving you a smoother tow and longer tread life compared to bias-ply alternatives. It’s built for highway travel where steady handling and lower heat buildup really matter.

Sized Right for Common Wheel Widths

The Provider ST185/80R13 fits 13" x 4-1/2", 13" x 5", and 13" x 5-1/2" wheels. Section width is 7.4", outer diameter when inflated is 24.7", and tread depth measures 10/32". It’s a straightforward fit for setups that need reliable performance in this size range and comes backed by a 2-year limited warranty.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Taskmaster Trailer Tires and Wheels - Tire Only - TA39QR

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Provider ST185/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range C. Now this is a radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords for a nice long life. It is great for highway use.

They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation, and this tire is bake tested to ensure that the rubber holds up over time. If you look at the tread, it is an automotive grade tread. It has the sipes. The sipes are those cuts that you'll see in the tread blocks, and what that does, it breaks up the water underneath the tire and washes and lets the water go away from underneath the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. This tire is an ST which stands for Special Trailer tire.

This design will couple with strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on other vehicles. This tire does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications and exceeds Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. This tire is designed to fit on a wheel size of 13 inches by 4 1/2 inches wide, 13 inches by 5 inches wide, and 13 by 5 1/2 inches wide.

The tire size, which is stamped on the sidewall, ST for Special Trailer 185/80R13. R means that it is a radial tire. Section width on it, 7.3 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 24.7. This tire is a load range C which means it's a 6 ply rated tire.

Has a maximum load capacity of 1,480 pounds at 50 PSI. And one of the last things I do want to mention is the trailer tires now come with a speed rating on them, and it's stamped on the sidewall with a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size we went over. You'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter M. Speed rating M will mean this tire has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Taskmaster Provider ST185/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire in a Load Range C.

Have yet to put any significant miles on them, but overall am very pleased with my purchase. They are a very sturdy, well made tire with a great tread pattern. Had no issue mounting them on my trailers current rims, even though the last set of tires were 205's. Looking forward to many happy and incident free miles with these.

by:

These are great tires for my dump trailer. I replaced the oem trailer tires with these some time ago and they have held up well even when the trailer has been overloaded (Never Skimp on Load Ratings!) eTrailers customer service is the best in the buiness without a doubt. Ordered at 7:00 in the morning and they shipped by lunchtime not just a tracking number but in possession of the shipper!

by:

You guys the best.
Lightning fast delivery,no
problem.
(buying these tires again because they "cheap" and high quality.pulling the trailer for living, after 3 years i can tell this with confidence.
And yes next set of 4 will buy here again.
Thank you.

I was looking for a tire to replace one that had a large cotter pin stuck in it. I wanted to match the other 3 tires on the flatbed trailer I use to transport my compact tractor as closely as possible because the other tires were relatively new and still in good shape. etrailer.com had an exact match, so I bought 2 tires. I was glad etrailer.com had the same tire I needed to replace. The tires I ordered were delivered in just a few days.

by:

The tire was the incorrect load rating and speed rating for my trailer. Return seems easy

by:

I was so disappointed. We had purchased four new tires. The morning we were leaving on an eight-week cross country trip we had a flat tire. We had just had the tires mounted and when we pumped it back up it had a bulge from broken belting. Only 72 miles into our trip we had a blow out on the highway. Two tires had to be replaced in one day.

I bought four of these Provider ST215/75R14 radial tires for my boat trailer. With an 8 ply rating and a Load Range Rating of D, I feel very confident on the road. The tread design on these tires is also much more impressive than the typical trailer tire tread found on the Carlisle tires that I replaced. Upon delivery, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the tires were boxed individually, protecting them from any abuse on their journey across the country, from the east side of Missouri all the way to California AND they were delivered on time as promised. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase from etrailer.com.

by:

I have these on a 5th wheel camper and on a 10 ton trailer. I love them. I put about 8,000 miles on the 5th wheel and see no sign of wear. The 10 ton trailer has been at max weight alot and have had no issues. I will be taking off my Goodyear's on my boat soon and replacing them with the providers too.

by:

Good quality trailer tire. Will order when time to replace these if the price stays competitive.

by:

I have replaced the original tires on the last two trailers we have had because the Provider Trailer tires have been very dependable in all weather and roads. The biggest test we gave them is our trip to Alaska. From GA. to the Arctic Circle and back via the I-10 southern route. Five months and over 15,000 miles without ANY tire problems. I am putting a link to part of the trip through the Yukon on the Alaska Highway. Everyone said we would have tire and windshield issues but not one. I might add the (Load Range D is the best to use)The trailer is a 32' Jayco Whitehawk, maxed at 8,000lbs

I purchased the Taskmaster Provider Radial Tire and Wheel about a year ago, and I’ve been very happy with the performance. The tire has held up great over time—no issues with wear, balance, or reliability. It tows smoothly and gives me confidence on longer trips knowing it’s built to last. The wheel still looks good after a year of use, with no rust or damage. Overall, a solid product that I would definitely recommend to others looking for dependable trailer tires and wheels.

by:

Tires came in fast and the salesperson was great and very helpful. The only think I'm a little disappointed with is the tires production date is already a year old, so instead of replacing in 7 years I will need to replace in 6. But overall, I am very happy with the quality and would recommend the tires. Thank you etrailer and Paula S

by:

Bought 3 of these tires for my 8 foot utility trailer that I use to haul my motorcycles and anything else. I have the older triangle style rims that use the old 205/70 style of tires. The newer 205/75 fit just great on my 15" x 6" rims. Can't wait to go on my next long trip with the trailer and the new tires.

by:

Service was great, shipping fast. Tires needed a lot of weight to balance. Wear time will tel?

by:

Great quality tire and fast shipping!

by:

Tire has held to daily abuse from driving lawn mowers around. I would recommend the tire. E trailer has always delivered for me! Thanks for being a great company!

by:

I am very pleased with the Provider ST225/75R15 radial tires purchased from etrailer. They were ordered on 1/7/19 and amazingly delivered on 1/8/19. I just had the bearings repacked and the tires mounted on my 2017 Venture Sonic Lite. The ride is extremely smooth. I am looking forward to getting out on the highway for the first trip of the year! Thanks, etrailer, for selling quality tires at a great price!

by:

Very happy with these tires from etrailer.com. I'm in construction and use them on my 16 ft. utility trailer and they r on the road working nearly ever day on the year just like me and the rest of the crew. They are wearing well after one year and I'm ready to purchase a set for the other side. I got this pair after a blow out on the freeway. My pictures will show I lost tread on the rear tire that took off my entire fender. Replacing it be my next purchase. I certainly recommend them to everyone I know. Etrailers service, pricing and professionalism will keep me returning to their site. I have purchased running lights and a few other items for my trailer from these folks. For me it so much easier to have all u need at one site why go anywhere else. Most online companies have figured out fast delivery and etrailer on it. I click...it comes to my door.

by:

I purchased these tires for my tandem axle boat trailer. It's difficult to find this size of tire in a load range D so I was happy to find them on etrailer. I have 500 miles on the new tires and they have performed well with no issues.

The folks at etrailer have been great to work with. I ordered 5 tires and only 4 of them showed up initially due to an issue with shipping. etrailer rectified the issue and sent me the fifth tire, which just arrived. I would definitely purchase from etrailer again in the future. Thanks.

by:

Great stability at highway speeds. Night and day difference compared to the stock tires that came on my 34ft travel trailer. Only used on one camping trip, 500miles so far.

by:

Bought 3 new tires. Bought one last year. Had my mechanic put them on my wheels and I had him balance them also. One tire needed no weights to balance it and the other two only needed 1oz. of tire weight. Will be heading to Montana, west Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and back to Nebraska with confidence in my new tires.

  • Looking For Tires 205/75D13 - What Are The Closest Options?
Hello Robert. I may have a potential option for you, but we do not offer any tires on the 205/75D13 size. We do have some 205/75-14 such as part # AM10235 if that is something you can use. As far as 13" tires, the closest thing we offer are 175/80-13 like part # AM10210. These will be considerably smaller than your 205/75/D13 tires so depending on your application this may not work for you.
