1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're gonna take a look at this Taskmaster Provider ST205/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range D and it's mounted on this 15 inch Vesper silver modular steel trailer wheel with a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly, it is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and even campers. What's unique on this assembly is the tire is match mounted and balanced to the wheel for ride comfort and durability. Match mounting of tires and wheels, that's a process in which the tire's installation position onto the wheel is specifically selected to minimize final force of imbalance. The method to match mounting is to align the tire's lightest spot with the wheel's heaviest spot and that's to eliminate most of the radial force that can cause tire and suspension wear.
Then they do the final balancing by applying weights to specific spots to the front in the back of the wheel to eliminate any chance of uneven wear or vibration. And just to show you on this one they put the weights right here in the front and over here in the back. So that makes this assembly all balanced. The wheel on this it is a steel wheel has the modular design. When we say modular design that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel.
It is sturdy, corrosion resistant. Does use a silver acrylic enamel finish to resist chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. And the finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and covers an E-coat primer layer. Does give you excellent corrosion resistance, Has a salt spray rating of more than 1,000 hours. Few specs on this, starting with the wheel.
The diameter 15 inches, width on just the wheel six inches, bolt pattern is a five on four and a half. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this that's an odd number of lugs. Five lugs. Basically you just pick one of the holes, this one let's say, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whatever hole you measure to.
So on this one it'll measure four and a half inches. So it's a five lug, four and a half inch bolt pattern. It does use the wheel lug size of a half inch by 20 and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,830 pounds. If you notice, this wheel does not come with a center cap. We do sell those separately if you want one. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have a diameter of 3.19 inches which is the diameter of the pilot hole right here 'cause your center cap will go through this hole to install it. The tire is a radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords for a nice long life. It's great for highway use. And they also use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation. This is an ST tire, which stands for special trailer tire, uses sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use in any other vehicles. The tire size which will be stamped on the side wall. ST for special trailer 20575R15 R means it's a radial. Section width on this is eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top where it's inflated, it's 27.2 inches. And this is a load range D which means it's an eight ply rated tire. So the maximum load capacity on this is 2,150 pounds at 65 psi. Now the trailer tires are now coming through with speed rating on 'em. Speed rating is designated by a letter designation and they stamp it on the sidewall of the tire. So just to let you know where it's at right after the size we just went over, two numbers you'll see for a load index and then you'll see a letter M. Speed rating M will mean 81 miles per hour. This does come with a two year platinum plus warranty which includes emergency tire change service and other benefits and this assembly does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications and it will exceed federal motor vehicle safety standards. I bought these to replace the 15" tires/wheels on my deck over trailer after having trouble finding 15" tires that could withstand modern highway speeds. I was not sure there was room for them, but they did fit and I've been very pleased with them.

I needed a spare tire for my trailer and I wanted the rims to match. I saw this and took a chance. Lo and behold they matched perfect. The tire is even better than the ones that came with the trailer. I also got the mounting bracket/carrier. The bolts that came with the bracket were way to long so I went and got some shorter grade 5 bolts and ta da looks good, works great.

This purchased wheel matches my current wheels and once my current ST205/75D (biased) tires wear out, I plan to replace with the radial tire version purchased here via etrailer.com

I'm giving 2 stars because I ordered this tire and rim combo and when it arrived the tire was the correct brand but the rim was incorrect. The rim was supposed to be an ARC brand and powder coated. The rim that arrived was made by Maxion and it was acrylic enamel. etrailer took the tire and rim combo back after I explained the issue. Fast forward a few months I was shopping for the rim and tire combo shown above and it showed instock. I ordered it and when it arrived the same thing happened. What I received was not what was pictured. Again I was ordering the ARC rim and Provider tire and I received the Maxion rim and Provider tire. So I called again and it sounds like the person that received the return just put the tire and rim combo back on the shelf even though I explained in detail to the person on the phone it was mislabeled. I know etrailer has had the ARC rim and Provider tire combo because I've ordered one from them before. I give the customer service kudos for trying to help me but its too bad there was a communication break down between the person answering the phone and the person accepting the returns. The tire and rim pictured is correct to what I was trying to order. What I was trying to order was even in their video describing the product. The ARC rims has a little round gold sticker with the letters ARC.
Purchased this tire/wheel combo as a spare for my utility trailer. I was amazed at the speed of delivery and the perfect match to the wheels I currently have on the trailer. I also purchased a Master #262DAT spare tire carrier lock and Wishbone #A20WB 4-way wire combo from etrailer. com. Unfortunatly, etrailer did not carry a spare tire carrier that suited my needs so I built my own, everything installed perfectly.
