It’s matched with a sturdy 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" steel wheel rated for the same load, so you can run long distances with confidence. The radial construction with double steel belts, double polyester cords, and nylon tread-firming overlays keeps heat buildup low and tread wear even on the highway.
Moisture and salt can destroy wheels fast, but this one’s built to resist rust season after season. The solid-center steel wheel goes through a zinc phosphate bath, then gets an e-coat primer and baked-on DuPont silver powder coat on both sides. That layered finish means it holds up to road grime and harsh environments with minimal maintenance.
This setup uses a hub-piloted design that centers on the hub instead of the lugs for a snug, true fit. It mounts with flange nuts (sold separately) on an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern and has a 4.76" pilot diameter with a -0.19" offset. That combination makes for precise alignment and solid load support without extra fuss.
The Provider radial is bake tested to ensure the rubber holds up over time, even under sustained highway use. With a maximum speed rating of 62 mph (speed rating J), it’s built for highway hauls and steady performance mile after mile. The regroovable tread adds potential service life when wear starts to set in, while DOT certification and FMVSS compliance confirm it meets strict safety standards.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I haven't driven this tire yet, just bought it as a spare. It appears very well made, it came in excellent condition, not even scratches on the rim from transit. The price was right for buying as a spare. I feel a lot better about taking my trailer on long trips fully loaded having a spare, especially with how the roads are lately!
The rims are good but I'd definitely recommend buying Sailun trailer tires over these all day long so if you can buy just the rim itself and buy a Sailun tire it's definitely the best way to go even if you have to spend a little more money.

Tire arrived perfect and in timely matter. This was an experiment as i was replacing very old 16.5 dually rims with 8.75-16.5 D rated tires on an equipment trailer with 10k axles and etrailer wasn’t sure it would work. After measuring, double checking it appeared this 17.5 rim and tire be a match, fit like a glove and used the same flange nuts. Be ordering 3 more tires soon.
I have owned these for a year. I got them because I was constantly running my trailer at capacity and experiencing blowouts on lesser tires and wheels. While upgrading to these wheels and tires was relatively expensive, and required new hubs also, I have not had a blowout since, so theoretically, this is going to save me money in the long run. I run a PJ gooseneck tandem axle with singles and I don't think that without these wheels and tires singles are a good idea - I would have to upgrade to duals. Then, I would be on the hook for commercial DL etc. Overall, great value with these for sure, in light of that.
Purchased to use as replacements on my wood chipper and we have been extremely pleased. Great looking rim and a smooth riding tire. I particularly appreciate that they can endure the abuse of hopping over curbs on a daily basis to access our worksites.
