Question:
Hi Im confused. I have talked to various people and feel the factory tires on my carhauler are not the right tires for the applications. st235-80/16r 10 ply. So the question has been raised : Do I just upgrade to 14 ply same size or upgrade hubs and go to the 17.5 tire that everyone says removes all the problems? The trailer is two single axle 7k dexter for 14k. I load to the max and want to travel at highway speeds. I currently air up tires to the 80lb max and do not know if these wheels can even be mounted and aired up to the 110 psi Provider ST 235-85 / r16 I am looking at. I put on about 5000 miles plus a month and its time to change out, but want to have reasonable budget on the project. Thank you so much for your advise.

For the amount of weight you are towing and the mileage you are putting on your trailer you are going to want to go to the larger 17.5 wheel size. The part # TA56VR has a 6,005-lb max load at 127 psi.
You'd need to have a hub piloted style hub that uses flange wheel nuts like the part # 95188 and has a bolt pattern of 8 on 6-1/2 inches.
