Features to know about

Made for Long Hauls at Real Highway Speeds: Load Range D with 81-mph Speed Rating

When you tow heavy or travel long distances in heat or rain, this setup is built for confidence. The Provider ST205/75R15 radial tire carries up to 2,150 lbs at 65 psi with an 8-ply rating and an M speed rating (81 mph). Double steel belts and double polyester cords keep it stable at highway speeds, while nylon tread-firming overlays help prevent tread separation. It’s a match-mounted and balanced assembly that meets DOT specs and exceeds FMVSS standards, so it’s ready for real-world towing.

Ready to Roll Right Out of the Box: Match Mounted and Balanced Assembly

Skip the mounting bay and get straight to towing. This Taskmaster tire-and-wheel combo comes fully matched and balanced using a laser-guided process. The lightest part of the tire is aligned with the heaviest part of the wheel, then fine-tuned with weights for a smooth, even ride. That means less vibration, less wear on your running gear, and more time spent rolling instead of wrenching.

Built to Last in the Elements: White Acrylic Enamel Steel Wheel

Moisture and road grime are no match for this white Vesper spoke wheel. The steel wheel goes through a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and e-coat primer before receiving its durable acrylic enamel finish. Compared to powder coat finishes, it resists chipping and scraping longer, even after more than 1,000 hours of salt spray testing. Beveled stud holes help keep the wheel tight on the hub so you don’t have to constantly retorque lug nuts.

Confident Grip in Wet or Icy Weather: Automotive-Grade Tread Design

When traction matters, this Provider radial’s automotive-grade tread helps you stay surefooted. Its ribs have breaks that channel water away from the contact patch, while fine sipes cut into the rubber improve grip on wet, snowy, or icy surfaces. Bake-tested rubber holds up over time, giving you consistent performance season after season on the road.

Close-up comparison showing Provider radial trailer tire tread with sipes and grooves for improved water dispersion and traction compared to standard trailer tread.

Extra Peace of Mind on Every Trip: 2-Year Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

If you ever get a flat, help is just a call away. This combo includes a 2-year Platinum Plus warranty that covers emergency tire change service 24/7 along with other benefits—so you can keep moving with less stress when plans don’t go as expected.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I think Amy & company are top notch! Great communication, fast delivery, fits & looks great! I will take the pop up out on her maiden voyage & keep you posted! Thanks a bunch!

by:

I bought an older Jayco camper with the original wheels and tires probably about 15 years old. Ended up buying these wheel/tire combos for both sides and the spare. They look great and are radials so should not have to worry about them for a long time.

by:

I would have given 5 stars; however, the manufacture date on these tires is mid 2023.

by:

After approximately 25 hours of highway and gravel roads these radial tires definitely ride and track better than bias ply tires.
etrailer's team came through in the clutch. Original tires were on back order and I was leaving for Canada in just a few days. So I contacted them and opted for a slightly larger version of the same tire. They got them out the same day and arrived in time for my much anticipated fishing trip. Thanks again.

Etrailer has been my supplier for hitches, snow chains and now wheels with pre-mounted tires. Excellent service never a problem.

The trailer tire and wheel combination look great and fit perfectly. Packaging was great, fast shipping and the company is easy to deal with, very helpful as well.

  • Can I Replace 8-14.5 Tires with a Non-Metric Sized Tire
Because the 8-14.5 tire that you've got sits on a 14.5" wheel, so you wouldn't be able to switch tire sizes with anything that we have available without also switching to a new wheel as well. If you've got a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern on your current hubs/wheels, you could use something like the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Vesper White Mod Wheel - 6 on 5-1/2 - Load Range D # TA23MR. The only downside is that these tires do have a bit less capacity, so you'll want...

  • Can Tires Be Mounted On The Aluminum Viking Series Valhalla Trailer Wheel TA65ZR?
Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out. We do have Aluminum Viking Series Valhalla Trailer Wheel # TA65ZR you are looking for, but I am sorry to say that we do not have tire mounting machines here at our warehouse, so we are not able to mount tires on it for you. If you need to tire to go with it, we do not carry the Diamondback brand, but what I recommend is the Rambler ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # TA46GR. This is a load range D so it has the exact same 2,150 lb load rating as your current...

  • How Much Clearance is Needed to Fit Larger Tires on a Trailer
To have enough clearance for the trailer to travel over bumps in the road you want to have at least 3 to 4 inches between the tire tread and the fenders as well as 1 to 2 inches between the side wall and inside of the wheel well. The smallest tire size we carry on a 16-inch rim with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern is 235/80-16, like # TA39VR, that has an outside diameter of 30.79 inches and is 9.25 inches wide. With your hubs you do have the option of use 15-inch rims. With a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt...

  • Smallest Diameter Tire for 6-Lug Wheels
The smallest diameter wheel/tire we offer for the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern is a 205/75-15 which measures 27.17" diameter fully inflated. If you deflate the tires you could then lose about an inch or so. Therefore, if you take the diameter of the tires you have now (235/85-16 = 31.7") and subtract from this the above figure minus an inch for inflation then you can see how much the trailer will lower. Keep in mind, you'll only see half of the difference between the above figures. For...

  • Can 8-Lug Wheels Be Used on 3,500 lb Axles
It's definitely possible to switch to an 8 lug setup but it does mean you'll be upgrading the weight capacity of your axle, which means you'll also need to upgrade your suspension components to match which may give your trailer more of a stiff ride quality. I recommend going smaller with a 6 lug upgrade with our etrailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-655-35-EZ-K so you're only swapping out the amount of lugs used to secure the wheel. Then to upgrade your trailer tire/wheel I recommend...

The 205/75-15 tire and wheel combo is 27.1 inches in diameter, which would be the largest diameter available that doesn't exceed 27.5 inches. The maximum capacity for these tires is a load range D tire which have a capacity of 2,150 lbs at the max 65 psi. Keeping your tires inflated to the max psi will ensure they give you the best performance and maintain their maximum capacity. To choose the correct wheel and tire you need to know your wheel's bolt pattern; I've added a link to a help...

We do not carry 8 X 14.5 tires. They had a section width of 8 inches and an outer diameter or 27.7 inches. My recommendation for lighter tires to run smoother are to change to 15-inch rims and load rand D tires. For this combination, I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Vesper White Spoke Wheel # TA23MR. These combinations are rated for 3,070 lbs at 116 psi and speeds up to 81 mph. They will have a very similar diameter of 27.17 inches and width of 7.99...

Passenger tires indicated by the P in front of the number are not ideal for trailer tires. This is the tire size you need of ST205/75R15 and it has the 6-bolt pattern you need as well. That's a good question although the pilot size will only matter if you are using hub-piloted wheels, which means the the wheel secures to the hub with bolts as opposed to lug nuts (lug-piloted wheel), or if the wheel itself has a smaller pilot hole than the hub. The 3-5/8 inch measurement you got is pretty common and it does sound like you are looking for a lug-piloted wheel, which is by far the most common.
