Question:
I need a P205/75R15 6 lug tire. That is what is on an old unknown brand horse trailer I bought. I only see ST205/75r15 6 lug. Are the P and ST the same?

Expert Reply:
The P on your 205/75R15 is saying that is a passenger vehicle tire. This should never be used on a trailer as it is not rated to hold the capacity your horse trailer likely requires. Instead you will want to go with a wheel and ST(special trailer service) tire like the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" White Vesper Spoke Wheel # TA23MR. If you are only needing a tire the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire is available in a Load Range C # AM10244 (1,820lbs) or D # AM10245 (2,150lbs). Be sure to verify your wheels are also rated for trailer use, typically the load rating is going to be stamped inside the wheels which will help you ensure the wheels you have can be used with the wheels.
