Now this special trailer tire or St tire is created specifically for trailers and it's not intended for use on other vehicles. This radial trailer tire comes prem mounted on this 15 inch black machine aluminum wheel with a six on five and a half inch bolt pattern. So this is gonna be compatible with a wide range of utility, cargo, boat and camper trailers.
This common six lug configuration will ensure a secure fit for most small to mid-size rigs. So whether you're replacing a worn out setup or you're prepping for a new trailer, you're gonna save time and be able to skip the hassle of separate mounting and inflation with this assembly. Now this is designed for the open road. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST 225 75R15. This is a load range e radial trailer tire, meaning it has a 10 ply rating and the maximum load capacity is 2,830 pounds at 80 PSI. And this has a speed rating of N indicating a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour. Now this black machine finish is going to help resist rust and road grime while the steel lug nut inserts are gonna protect the bolts holes and reduce the need for the constant re-tightening of the lug nuts. Looking at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat is 15 inches. The width of the wheel is six inches, and as I mentioned, our bolt pattern is six on five and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, but the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from that first one. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20.
The capacity of this wheel is 2,830 pounds. This wheel does not come with a center cap, but if you decide to pick one up, you just need to meet, make sure that it fits the pi, the pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. Arrived as promised. The associates I spoke with over the phone were super helpful and assured me that the tires would not be old, so that I should have a full use of the tires for up to 5-6 years. The tires' oldest DOT manufacture date was 0925 (Jan/Feb 2025) on one tire (that'll be my spare), the other two tires 2825 (last week of July 2025) is acceptable -indicating they're ~6 months old. etrailer has always been excellent to deal with, and the web site information super useful.
