Features to know about

Strong Mounting Point for Steady Suspension: 3-5/8" Tall Steel Hanger Holds the Load

A secure suspension starts with a solid mount. This 3-5/8" tall hanger gives your double-eye leaf spring or equalizer a strong, stable connection to the trailer frame. It provides the attachment point that keeps the suspension geometry right so everything tracks true and rides smooth down the road.

Versatile Setup for Any Suspension Position: Works as Front, Center, or Rear Hanger

Whether you’re rebuilding a single, tandem, or triple-axle setup, this hanger fits where you need it—front, center, or rear. That flexibility makes it a one-part solution for matching up new springs or equalizers without hunting down separate pieces for each spot.

Precise Fit for Double-Eye Springs: 9/16" Bolt Hole and 1-7/8" Inside Width

Getting the right fit keeps your suspension quiet and long-lasting. This hanger is sized for 1-3/4" wide double-eye springs with 9/16" diameter eyes and uses a 9/16" bolt (sold separately). The inside width of 1-7/8" gives just enough clearance for smooth movement without side play.

Built to Last Mile After Mile: Compact, Solid Construction

At 4-1/4" tall overall, 2-3/8" wide, and 3" deep, this hanger is compact but tough enough to handle real-world loads. It suspends the spring or equalizer securely from the trailer frame so your suspension stays aligned and holds up through rough roads and heavy use.

Video Transcript for Front/Center/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs: The Breakdown

Today we're gonna take a look at the Front or Center or Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs. It's 3 5/8 inches tall and has a 9/16 diameter bolt hole. This hanger can be configured to work in the front, the rear or the center position to suspend your double-eyed leaf springer equalizer. It provides the attachment point for the leaf springs, and this hanger will suspend your springer equalizer from the trailer frame. It is designed to fit 1 3/4 inch wide double-eye springs with 9/16 diameter eyes. It is designed to work with a 9/16 diameter bolt that we do sell separately on our website, and it's usually listed on this product page as a related project. Now to just give you a few dimensions on this. We're going to measure the overall dimension, so from the very bottom up to the very top.

It's going to be right at 4 1/4 inches tall. The width on it, from side to side, is going to be right at 2 3/8 inches wide, and the total depth is going to be right at 3 inches. • Looking For 2" Wide Leaf Spring For Tandem Axle Smoker
Hello Greg, thanks for reaching out. That smoker must be a beast to have two axles! We do offer some 2" wide leaf springs. All of the 2" wide springs are slipper style springs such as the Dexter 4-Leaf Slipper Spring # DX93QR. This is 26-3/4" long from the center of the eye to the end of the spring. It is intended to be used with a 2,500 lb rated axle. I suggest you measure the springs on your smoker to see what length you need. Jack up one side of the trailer so you can measure the...

  • How To Fix Tires Hitting Fenders After Installing New Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizers
To get your Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer lower so the tires on your 2-17 Nitro Z19 boat trailer are not hitting the fenders I recommend having taller center hangers installed. Base on the pictures you provided it looks like your current hangers are pretty short. You will want to measure from the frame to the center of the hole in the hanger, and then use one of the options mentioned below as a replacement to get the clearance back. The available options are the 3-1/4" tall # 28-5, 3-5/8"...

  • Increasing Clearance Between Frame and Axle on a Boat Trailer
An unloaded trailer should have between 2 and 2-1/2 inches of clearance between the frame and the axle. Typically trailer leaf springs have a maximum deflection of 1-1/2 inches. First, I recommend checking your leaf springs. If they have some age on them, they may have flattened out and need to be replaced. If you find that your springs are still in good condition, there are a few other routes you could take to give yourself more clearance between the frame and axle. If the axle on your...

To attach your axles to the the frame of the car hauler you will need the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # AP233-H248. This kit includes all the hangers, equalizers, shackle straps, shackle bolts and nuts to fit your axles. I have linked an article below that will help you with positioning the axles on your trailer to ensure that you have the correct percentage of tongue weight when towing to be safe. • Recommended Hangers and Shackles for Building Tandem 7,500 Pound Axle Trailer
I recommend using the Dexter Heavy-Duty Suspension Kit for Tandem-Axle Trailers - 1-3/4" Wide Double Eye Springs # K71-359-00. This kit has heavy duty shackles, wet bolts, and also equalizers with built-in grease zerks. This will give you 33" axle spacing. Although there are no heavy duty hangers, I would use longer hangers for additional clearance. You can use the Front/Center/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 3-1/4" Tall - 9/16" Bolt Hole # 28-5 in the front/rear and then the Front/Center/Rear...
