If you’re done with dim, short-lived bulbs, this 15" long x 1-1/2" tall ThinLine LED Trailer Tail Light is the upgrade that fixes that. It uses 9 LEDs to deliver bright, efficient light for stop, tail, and turn functions. The LEDs draw just 0.35 amps for the stop light and 0.22 amps for the tail light at 12.8V, giving you strong illumination without loading your wiring. Since there are no filaments to break or bulbs to replace, you get a clean, reliable light that keeps working trip after trip.
When space is limited, this light still fits perfectly. The low-profile design measures only 5/8" deep, so it mounts neatly on flat surfaces without sticking out or getting in the way. It installs on 14-1/8" centers for a clean, flush fit and uses a simple surface-mount setup—no need to cut big holes or recess the housing. It’s ideal when you want a streamlined look that still packs bright visibility.
If your trailer ever sees rain, grit, or water at the ramp, this light is built to take it. The housing and red lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit, making it completely submersible. That seal keeps out moisture so the LEDs and circuit board stay protected from corrosion or shorting out. Once installed, you can tow confidently knowing water won’t sneak in and wreck your light.
Hooking it up is easy thanks to its three-wire pigtail design: white for ground, black for power (tail light), and red for stop and turn signals. Even if you’re replacing an older two-wire setup, it connects cleanly by matching each function to your trailer’s existing circuits. With basic splices or butt connectors, you’ll have solid connections and a dependable light that’s ready to run.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number STL63RV. This is the Optronics Thinline LED trailer light. This is going to serve three functions. It's going to provide your stop light, your taillight and your turn signal light. It's going to feature a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit so it is submersible. The Thinline series is going to have a really nice low profile design so that the light can fit into tight spaces.
It is an LED unit. LEDs are going to make great replacements for incandescent lights. They're going to last longer, burn brighter and they're much more efficient. You don't ever have to worry about replacing the bulbs or the brittle filaments. Optronics is going to cover the LEDs with a lifetime warranty. The lens is going to be made from a polycarbonate material, very strong and very durable.
It's going to have the nice red lens. Here on the back side we're going to have the three-wire pigtail. Your white wire's for ground, black wire's for power, red wire's for stop and turn signal. You're also going to get the black foam gasket. This is going to match the footprint here on the back of the light.
It's got the cutout for the wires and that's going to be installed during the installation in between the light and the mounting surface. You're going to have your mount holes one on each side of the light. Those are going to be separated on center by 14-1/8 of an inch. Your mounting hardware is not included. This light is Department of Transportation compliant. We'll take a look at the overall dimensions starting with the overall length.
That's going to give us a measurement of 15 inches. Measuring this direction at the widest point, that's going to be 1-1/2 inches and then the depth or the thickness, that's going to give us a measurement of about 5/8 of an inch. This light contains nine diodes, power draws at 12.8 volts. For the stop and turn lights we're looking at .350 amps and for the taillights we're looking at .022 amps. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source. That way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Again, the white wire's going to be our ground connection, red wire's going to be for the stop and turn and black wire's going to be for our power or for the taillight. You can see here it sends out a nice consistent signal. The multi-diode design is really going to optimize our light output. We'll go ahead and apply our brakes. You can see how that illuminates for a stronger signal output. It's also going to function like that when we apply our turn signals. That's going to do it for our review of part number STL63RB. This is the Optronics Thinline LED trailer light. .

Great lights! Super bright and easy to wire up. I housed mine in a protective wood frame and covered them with wire mesh so they would not get damaged backing up into underbrush. Would definitely buy again!
