Video Transcript for Complete Breakdown of the Optronics Adhesive Trailer Reflector

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be checking out the Optronics stick on trailer reflector. These stick on reflectors are pretty straightforward, you know, they're gonna work out real well for replacements. So if your trailer already has something like this on it and they ended up getting busted or faded, or whatever the case may be, great solution. Or if you're just trying to add a little bit, you know, be able to be a little more visible, without having to go through the trouble wiring up lights. Or maybe you're in a spot where it's really difficult, or it don't make sense to add a light, this is gonna be a good solution as well.

Being that they just stick on, literally put these things almost anywhere. Being that these ones are amber in color, you know you want to use these, typically speaking, on the sides or the front of your trailer. If you're gonna be adding reflectors to the back of it, you'd want to go with the red ones, which we do carry. And you can also grab these kind of as a kit. There's a package available that you get two orange ones and two red ones.

So, it might be worth looking into. In terms of the quality of these, you know, one of my concerns would be the sticky tape. So this two-sided sticky tape, it's actually pretty good tape. Really sticky. As long as you make sure the surface where you're gonna mount it is clean, you know, you can rub it down with some rubbing alcohol, let it dry, you shouldn't run into any issues there, at least for quite some time.

I do like these ones though. They're thick, they kinda have a black trim ring around it. I think it looks good on this black trailer. And I would probably use these more in high impact areas. So by the wheels or by here where you're gonna be stepping sometimes, get in and out of a boat, for example.

Just to kind of compare it to another one, this one's also Optronics. It's a stick on one as well. You know, it holds a lot of the same qualities in terms of the sticky tape and where you can put it and everything. It is a little bit thinner though, so just something to think about. I actually have these on the front of this trailer by the hand crank, by the winch, so you know, that makes sense up there. It's not a high impact area, so just something to think about and something I thought that was worth mentioning. Give you a couple measurements here, that way you can make sure this is gonna fit where you're trying to put it. It's gonna be three and seven eights of an inch long, an inch and a quarter tall. And as far as the depth or the thickness of it, it's gonna be three eights of an inch. A lot of times these are commonly referred as four inch by one inch reflectors, but seems like a lot of people, when they're adding these or replacing 'em or kind of overhauling the trailer anyway. And so if that's what you're doing and you're gonna be changing out lights and all them other ins and outs, we carry all that type of stuff right here at etrailer.
