This thin, rectangular light packs six white LEDs behind an amber lens that shine brighter than old incandescent bulbs while using less power. At 12.8V it only draws 0.057 amps, giving you clean, efficient light without taxing your wiring. The LEDs last up to 50 times longer than traditional bulbs, so once it’s mounted you can count on steady illumination for years without replacing filaments or worrying about vibration damage.
Water can ruin most lights fast, but this one is designed to handle it. The housing and lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit that keeps moisture out, even when fully submerged. That makes it a reliable choice for trailers that get wet or see road spray—no fogged lenses or corroded contacts, just consistent performance trip after trip.
When space is limited, the low-profile Thinline Series design fits neatly where bulkier lights won’t. Measuring only 4" long by 7/8" wide and 1-3/16" thick, it mounts flush to the surface and stays out of harm’s way. It gives you the visibility you need without sticking out, making it ideal for narrow rails or low-clearance edges where a compact light makes all the difference.
Hookup is straightforward thanks to a simple two-wire design—one power lead and one ground wire. It surface mounts with a bracket (A65B, sold separately) for a solid hold and clean finish. Once installed, the sealed LED light delivers dependable function as a clearance or side marker light with DOT-compliant P2 rating for safety on the road.

Today, we're going to take a look at the Optronics Submersible, Amber ThinLine LED trailer clearance, or side marker light. Now this is a rectangular LED trailer light that will function as a clearance light or a side marker light when it's properly mounted. It is a ThinLine series. So it has a nice low profile so that the light can fit into tight spaces. Sonically sealed, waterproof housing and lens. The unit is submersible and it's a durable polycarbonate housing and lens that's on it.
So also an Amber lens, which will go over the white LEDs and the LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They'll last about 50 times longer. They're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And of course no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break. This side is compatible with 12 volt DC electrical systems.
It is designed to surface mount to the trailer with a mounting bracket, which we do sell separately on our website. It's part number BK66DB. And you can see it is a two wire design, includes both the power lead and the ground wire. You can see, they use the male bullet connector ends on this, and it is a non-polarized light. So basically, even though you can see the wires are white and black, you can hook it up either way for positive or negative. I am going to hook this up at the end of the video, just to show you how bright it is.
This is a DOT compliant light, so for Department of Transportation, and it is P2 rated. It does have six LEDs in it. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.05, seven amps, and it does have a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. Give you a few dimensions overall length on this light from one end to the other end is right at four inches overall height on it.It's going to be right at seven eighths of an inch depth on it is right at one and three sixteenths inches deep, the mounting holes. There's two of them right there.
Their measure, center to center, three inches. And again, what I'm going to do now is take our 12 volt power and I'll go ahead and put the red clip to the white wire, the black clip to the black. And I'll go ahead and turn on the power. You can see that it lights up the six LEDs. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. You can see. It gives a very bright light. Which you could use again as clear and slider side marker light. Go ahead and turn back on the overhead. And you can see what I'm going to do is we'll just switch it. So I'm going to move the black to the white wire and put the red to the black and you can see the light still lights up. So it is non-polarized, but that should do it for the review on the Optronics Submersible, Amber ThinLine LED trailer clearance, our side marker light..
