Today, we're going to take a look at the Optronics Oblong LED Mini Side-Marker and Clearance Light with the red lens. Now this is a mini LED trailer light that will function as both a side-marker and a clearance light when properly mounted. It's a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which is submersible. And it's a LED, which makes great replacements for incandescent lights, because the last 50 times longer, they're more efficient, they provide brighter light with less power output, and of course no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments. This one is a red lens over a white LED. It's a durable polycarbonate housing and lens, and it is compatible with 12 volt DC systems.
On the back of the light, it does have adhesive backing that you can peel off and then stick it for easy mounting to your trailer. It is a two-wire design, the wires are about eight inches long.And at the end of them, they have the 0.180 size male bullet connectors. The slide is PC rated. Few specs on this, the dimension, the length of it, it's going to be right at one and a half inches long. The height is right at three-quarters of an inch tall.
And the thickness from the front of the light to the very back is right at five-eighths of an inch thick. It has one diode. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.12 amps. And last thing I'm going to do is hook this up to some 12 volt power. Just to show you the light itself.So, go ahead and hook our ground up, and go ahead and hook our power up.
And I'm going to go ahead and turn the 12 volt power on and you can see, there's your red light. Go ahead and turn off the overhead light, and you can see how bright it is for one LED. Oop, don't let them touch. There we go. Very bright light, red light.
We'll go ahead and turn back on the overhead lights, so you can even see with the overhead lights on, it's still a very bright light. And turn off our power, disconnect it. But that should do it for the review on the Optronics Oblong LED Mini Side-Marker and Clearance Light with the red lens.

These are bright but not as bright as the amber color and the adhesive backing sticks very well. I used a 23/64 drill bit for the mounting hole and the barbs on the rubber grommet helps keep the light from coming out along with the adhesive on the back.
